Dont worry they will attend to it between now and next month. Got a credible info that applications submitted early last year stroke mid last year has been given a brought forward date for it ti be reviewed. Still hoping and trusting my spouse application as well as that of my kids is approved too.

If this should happen I swear I would be the happiest person on earth...and if you are still in naija by the time it happens I owe you something....no matter how small but I owe you something....I done too tire...just giving God thanks for everything....and that person that said he has been waiting since December 2020 gmGod would answer you speedly ...just like he would answer me too

Thank you Otunba for your contributions. I don't seem encourage with this SOWP visa system. We contacted mp and was told eligibility has not started and medical was not requested. I think overall Nigerians are not well attended to in this class. It's deliberate.

All things been equal they have wasted time already, I mean 54weeks, I think Carlone too applied since March 2021.....haba... Anything they want let them do on the application, whenever they are ready for anything on the application, i am available.

At this point, I am not in a haste any more.

My brother I have left everything to fate....I done face another thing for life....anytime they are ready to show me a refusal or an approval I am ready....make I dey do other things for now abeg....Canada cannot kill me...I didn't kill my parents...

Good day all!!! Its my PPR for SOWP.... If you applied btw April and may 2021...U'll get a decision soonest. Don't give up! Keep up with ur daily prayers. Dont feel God doesn't exist. Dont lose hope. God came through for me and would for all that believes and trusts in him.

My fellow Nairalanders! Please felicitate with me because my God is good and kind to me, to him alone be all the glory.
I just received my long awaited PPR. VV for the spouse of an international student. I learnt a lot from this forum and it is very imperative I give back.

My first application was submitted June 2021
Resubmitted a new application via the new portal January 9 2022.
Refusal letter February 9 2022 (Refused Based on Family ties)
I ordered GCMS notes same day.
Reapplied February 22 2022
PPR April 7 2022


A refusal letter hits differently, I was devastated because I thought I had a strong and convincing application. It took me about 2 weeks to get myself to write a new LOE and SOP.

A sweetheart on this platform @mzjanez01 reached out to me and advised I reapply without the notes. She was kind to share how her husband tackled his refusal reasons as well. Jane, you are far too kind oh! Thanks for all the prayers and kind words.

My GCMS notes arrived on the 12th of March, it seems to be the shortest GCMS notes have seen. The VO wrote that “ applicant has strong family ties in Canada”. To be honest, I was disappointed because I was expecting a more detailed notes. (I kuku report the VO to God)
Luckily for me the VO concern has been addressed in the new application.

What i did to Tackle the refusal reason based on family ties? I strengthened my HOME TIES. Having surfed through YouTube and Other forums, I realized that no one knows your story more than YOU when it comes to addressing Home/Family Ties.
I explained my responsibilities to my parent, I wrote extensively about how important my career in Nigeria is, my personal business and ongoing projects.

Aside being an employee of a reputable agency, I further explained my other commitments and responsibilities that will make me return back to Nigeria and I supported my explanations with valid documents. Although the commitments were briefly mentioned in the first application but this time it was detailed and I connected how my absence will affect each of them. I included more documents to support each claim unlike the first application. To be honest, it wasn’t by the documents but God was fully involved. I think Baba God was tired of me murmuring my application number every morning and night, hence the PPR. lol!

The wait for PPR isnt for the faint hearted especially when you see people who applied after you sharing their timelines (e go come be like say na only you waka come). God of NLP answers prayer, I prayed and fasted fervently for this PPR. Chail! IRCC messed with my mental health. The plan was to visit my spouse after his first academic year but I couldn’t because of the pandemic. As it is, the visa got approved just in time for convocation (graduation is this summer) although Graduation wasn’t stated for purpose of visit, it was plainly “family reunification “


May this kind of joy go round. To all PPR hopefuls, it is just a delay not a denial.

See ehn who dey wait for PPR and never get am especially if he dey see other people timeline wey you applied before them dey give testimony he go be like say person get home problem....make God wey answer you answer me too o...I dey tempted to apply for VV with join...Omo I done tire....my mental health has been messed with already...But God nor dey sleep las las...I shall come here to to testify I know by God's grace

I thought I was the only one o. I applied for sowp since February 2021 not a word or any update of any kind . I vex apply for visitor visa as they no wan answer me on the 28th October 2021 but they just updated my medicals and that was it till today. I have sent countless webforms, written nairobi, london, abuja ircc but same generic mail...Ive resent my documents and disturbed mp tire for where. I sent gcm notes early last month but no word. Its so frustrating! it's so inhumane what these people are doing...but what can we do

I made a mistake in my initial date i wrote 2021 instead of 2020.... i have been waiting since December of 2020

I have requested for multiple GCMS notes
I have sent mail to all the MP in my. Province,. Some even replied and wrote to IRCC on my behave but the truth is am still waiting

Send them webform and mail that your application has passed their standard processing time of 36weeks currently and it way long overdue they will respond. Also contact your mp from your spouse constituency here in canada and tell them your plight they will also help followup. Is it a stand alone sowp?

If you want to test your patience, try applying for Canadian Visa. Though for some, responses have been fairly fast.
But for your case, if you apply for visitor's Visa through the GCKEY, please reapply through the new portal

I swear down it's heart breaking when I come here and see people's PPR testimony and it's like mine has been forgotten...

1. Please which documents are required at the airport and POE?
2. Will I need to apply for Travel exemption/authorization letter since I'm fully vaccinated?
3. Is the covid test still required 72hrs before?
4. Is quarantine plan still required even for fully vaccinated

Also, please house I need information on how to renew both study permit and work permit inside Canada.
1. Can the renewal of both Study permit and spousal work permit be done simultaneously or the study permit should be renewed first then work permit after?
2. Any info on how to go about with renewal

I picked the number and chatted on WhatsApp. I was asked to send my CV to their email and after 24hours, I was mailed that my qualifications met their requirements. I was offered job as a Drill Engineer for the Oil and gas company. I was later sent Temporary Residence Visa Form to fill as well as Labour Market Impact Assessment(LMIA) form and Job agreement letter(that have in it that I will be responsible for the biometrics fee while other cost till arrival will be handled by the company). I filled and signed where necessary and returned them with my International passport as requested.

After few days, I was mailed to send the LMIA , Visa Form and my International passport to the lagos embassy of Canada through the email they gave (lagos@vfsglobal.g-c.online, so as to book my biometrics. I did as instructed and after few hours, got a mail from the said lagos embassy mail that my documents have been reviewed and i should proceed to pay for my biometrics through the payment link supplied so I can be given date for the biometrics. The biometrics fee is $116 CAD and processing fee is $91 CAD, bringing total to $207 CAD which amounted to #66,549.89 or pay same into one CEDI SIGNAL ZENITH BANK account and send receipt to them.

I am confused as to being real or not which is the reason I seek your genuine and honest advice.

And also VFS don't give biometrics letters....your biometric letter comes from IRCC with a UCI number and an application number...all this you can use to check the authenticity of it on the official Canada site.....VFS only gives you and appointment date..takes your biometric and send back to IRCC then you wait for PPR if your application scales through...bros nah scam be that o abeg run....run as fast as your legs can carry you....Canada matter nor be over night o....I have been waiting for PPR since April last year still nothing...

If you weren't sent a biometric letter prior to the booking of the biometric appointment with VFS lekki then my brother/sister nah scam...big scam....run as fast as your legs can carry you....them nor send biometric form from Canada and them say make you dey pay....nah scam

What God cannot do does not exist oh!!! It has ended in praises for my 2 kids. PPR just landed for them. I am still expecting my husbands own though but God will surely complete what He started.

They are still issuing work and student visas...I guess it's only tourist visas they stopped

Ikoyi passport office is a racketeer at the moment, there's absolute no leadership presence there, there ar too many irregularities you need to see the amount of complain on a daily basis, I captured since July and it been the same story.
Everyone knows how that place has degenerated but they are still playing politics when a state of emergency should have been declared there

Good afternoon everyone o am so pleased with all the insight info being rendered here...and I appreciate the gurus here...please I need advice/help....I have a cousin who just graduated from igbinedion university okada...she studied pharmacy and wishes to apply for college in Canada to study pharm tech....now the thing is she didn't make her waec at one sitting...i.e she combined results at her 'o' levels before getting admissions and she is getting Infos now that it might affect her applications to get into the pharmaceutical colleges in Canada as they on require you pass your waec at one sitting...please how true is this?...and is there any other way we can go around this for her as she is suppose to apply next year and all this is causing a fuzz...any response on this will be appreciated thank you!
