@ dayokanu,
can u please explain what u are on about? seems u are confuzzled!!!!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 2:58pm On Jan 14, 2008
@ mcomo,
anelka has already vowed the chelsea move is his final move. as a man utd fan, i am scared of chelsea as we speak. anelka and drogba will terrorise any defence in the world. we are talking about 2 of the finest strikers in the world. i think he left arsenal in 1999 because he felt arsenal was under-achieving and since he returned back to england, he is yet to play in any big team. his current contract is 5 years so expect to see him grow old and gray at fulham road.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Jürgen Klinsmann To Step In As Bayern Munich Coach by Cougar: 2:35pm On Jan 14, 2008
@ akinalabi,
even a kid of 5 knows a team needs to win domestic titles to be reckoned with. man utd became a rich as a result of winning lots of domestic titles. the premiership has even become a bigger cake than the european title because clubs get paid handsomely winning the premiership than any other football competition in the world.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 2:31pm On Jan 14, 2008
@ tkb417,
someone told me if the game had ended 12-0, there wouldnt have been one single complain. ferguson has built a monster of an attack. giggs, ronaldo, tevez and rooney were awesome. carrick and anderson were outstanding. what a wonderful debut season that young brazilian is having at the moment.
cristiano ronaldo must have convinced all his critics he is the best in the universe(although his free-kick was very ronaldinho-esque) cheesy cheesy cheesy
SportsRe: Are Refs Against Arsenal? by Cougar: 2:18pm On Jan 14, 2008
are refs against arsenal? cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy. this must be the joke of the century. refs favour arsenal more than any team in the prem. their gross under-achievements draw sympathy from all and sundry. compare the three penalty decisions that were turned down at old trafford against newcastle to the one that was given in the arsenal game against birmingham at the emirates. eduardo had to permit himself a chuckle when the ref gave the penalty decision.
you seem to forget that against west ham earlier in the year freddie ljunberg had a perfectly good goal disallowed (which would have made the score 1-1 against arsenal) for off-side when in the replay he was blatantly onside, or do you not remember that? It was the same against blackburn rovers at the beginning of the season, they had a perfectly good goal disallowed against arsenal for an apparent fowl on lehman in the box, yet in the replay no one touched him, arsenal ended drawing that game thus giving them an advantage over others.

dude, refs are not against arsenal, they should let their football do the talking. man utd had 3 penalty claims turned down against newcastle and we still scored six goals. that is the name of the game.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 2:05pm On Jan 14, 2008
@ nateevs,
u sure have a point. there's nothing to suggest arsenal will win any trophy this season. with all due respect, the title race is now open with chelsea closing up on arsenal over the weekend. the carling cup glory is looking bleak for arsenal as avram grant should have drogba and anelka back before the final in february. will anelka get a last laugh on arsene wenger? john terry will also be back in 2 weeks time and i wonder if this arsenal side can beat a full-strength chelsea team. cheesy cheesy cheesy ac milan stands in the way of arsene wenger in the uefa champions league. fa cup is also dicey as liverpool, man utd and chelsea are still in it. if u take all these points into consideration, arsenal has a bigger chance of finishing trophyless this season than winning any title.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 1:56pm On Jan 14, 2008
@ tkb417,
arsenal will be so far behind by the time eboue and toure comes back from africa. they should be thankful they got a ref that needs to visit specsavers.
the ref gave the softest penalty i have ever seen on tv to arsenal. even with that, birmingham came back and scored a very good goal. the race is on now and i can guarantee u man utd will win the title by six to nine points in may. the kind of football ferguson is making his lads play is pure entertainment. the philosophy at old trafford is very discernable. trust me, not only do man utd have to win titles with their resources, but they have to play the game in a certain swaggering and expansive way. man utd is awesome.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 1:36am On Jan 14, 2008
@ akinalabi,
dayokanu is a man utd hater. this people will never give us credits so dont grief!!!!!!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 2:11pm On Jan 13, 2008
@ a-40,
u lent us the lead? this is highly laughable. u should worry about the decline in your team's performance. in the run of 22 games, man utd has been the better side scoring more goals, conceding less and has played the better football. unitec clinched the 11th consecutive home win against the magpies last night. in the 22 matches played, united secured 13 clean sheets compared to arsenal's 8 clean sheets. the last time arsenal's best player(cesc fabregas) scored a goal was 9 weeks ago. at this stage, only a fool will still think arsenal will clinch the title. chelsea is hot on your heels and i wont be surprised if chelsea finishes above arsenal by may.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by Cougar: 1:52pm On Jan 13, 2008
@ nateevs,
i still cannot understand why u wrestle with the arsenal fans. this was a team that was 5 points clear of man utd some few weeks back and are now playing 2nd fiddle to man utd. in the festive period, chelsea and man utd clinched more points than arsenal so what are we on about?
comparing arsenal to chelsea at this point is pointless because chelsea is far more better than arsenal. take a look at this stat. this comparison is based on the player's current form.

cech vs almunia/lehmann-----------------------cech wins
belletti vs sagna--------------------------------belletti wins
terry vs toure------------------------------------terry wins
gallas vs carvalho-------------------------------gallas wins
a.cole vs clichy-----------------------------------its a tie.
joe cole vs hleb----------------------------------hleb wins
essien vs flamini---------------------------------essien wins
ballack vs fabregas------------------------------fabregas wins
malouda vs rosicky------------------------------malouda wins
anelka vs adebayor-----------------------------anelka wins
drogba vs (van persie+eduardo+bendtner)-------drogba wins. it means only 3 arsenal players will get into the chelsea's first team. cheesy cheesy
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 9:12pm On Jan 12, 2008
@ nateevs,
arsenal fans wont come out and play now. if i may ask, when was the last time fabregas scored a goal in the league? november 3rd!!! it will surprise u some of the gooners still say he is the best player in the premiership. how anyone can compare ronaldo with any player in the premiership beggars belief.
man utd is back on top, with the best attack and the best defence. without a doubt, man utd is the best team in the world.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 8:51pm On Jan 12, 2008
@ nazzyon,
i think cristiano ronaldo is the undisputed best player in the world. 22 goals in january from a midfielder? somebody wake me, i am dreaming.
ferguson should go and get his wahl clipper and shave his head cos this portugese is on fire. what a performance. scoring 6 goals in 45 minutes is awesome.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 6:02pm On Jan 11, 2008
arturo lupoli is by far the greatest young talent that ever played under wenger. what a talent, 27 goals in 32 games for the reserves/youth league in 2004-05 season. the 1st player to score a hatrick for derby in a decade and the list goes on and on. how he ended up not cutting it at arsenal is a mystery.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 5:47pm On Jan 11, 2008
arturo lupoli.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 5:16pm On Jan 11, 2008
@ tkb417,
klinsmann is brilliant because he made an ordinary german team look so powerful in the last world cup. no one gave germany a chance but he was able to turn it around for them. i believe if he's left alone he can make bayern what they used to be.

man utd is the richest club in the world(just 12 euros above real madrid). if united wins the epl and the ucl then it gets better. united upped the ante on the profit by 93% as compared to last year's figures and it was confirmed united has never been this rich. this is contrary to what many thought will happen when the glazers took over. fergie should toast this financial success by landing huntelaar.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 4:41pm On Jan 11, 2008
jurgen klinsmann is a brilliant acquisition but i never knew ottmar's romance will bayern munich will come to an abrupt end. i expected the general to steer bayern to another ucl title but how can he even win something he failed to qualify for. bayern has lost the bragging rights to be called an european giant.
lets hope jurgen can make something good of bayern munich who r fast losing their credibility in the football world. where is rudi voeller amidst this bust-up?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by Cougar: 4:30pm On Jan 11, 2008
@nateevs,
i think avram grant now has a monster of a team.
check this out,

petr cech

paulo terry carvalho cole

j.cole ballack lampard malouda

drogba anelka
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 2:33pm On Jan 11, 2008
@ tkb417,
thats hilarious!!!!! have u seen the new commercial ad of cristiano ronaldo racing a bugatti veyron? how can ronaldo outpace the fastest car in the world in a 20 yard race? nike must be crazy to have come out with such a cheap concept. cheesy cheesy : what do u make of fergie hunting down huntelaar?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 2:09pm On Jan 11, 2008
@ chuckdee4,
anelka spent 2 & 1/2 seasons at arsenal not 1 season. anelka has always been a potential. he was the top student in clarefontaine in france.
if he had no potentials, wenger wont sign a 17-yr-old player for 1/2 a million pounds in 1997. he was sold to real madrid for 22.3 million and that was remarkable. how do u explain ferguson's profit on a david beckham he signed for 0 pounds and sold for 25 million to real madrid? cheesy cheesy
p.s. 500,000 pounds = 1/2 a million pounds(so don't correct me). tongue
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 1:55pm On Jan 11, 2008
@ tkb417,
arsene wenger still paid 1/2 a million pounds to sign a 17-year old Anelka in 1997. how many 17-year olds are known to be legends in the world. your statement of who was nicolas anelka before joining arsenal holds no water at all. where was messi and cristiano ronaldo at 17  huh huh huh huh

@loyika,
what we are saying is arsene wenger has never made it big with big money signings. his best students have always been players signed from africa and belarus.
in that wise, some school of thoughts think benzema, anelka or messi will fail at arsenal. some other pundits think wenger deliberately signs cheap players so he doesnt take the blame if the experiment fails. the reason why jol was sacked was because he squandered 50 million. if his transfer budget stood at 5 million last summer, he would still be the gaffer at spurs. wenger is devious. cheesy cheesy cheesy
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 1:45pm On Jan 11, 2008
kareem benzema will leave lyon and join man utd by the time ronaldo, rooney and tevez do a collateral damage on them. lyon to win champions league is as impossible as beyonce marrying yar'adua. cheesy cheesy cheesy i just heard man utd is lining up 12 million pounds to sign huntelaar.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by Cougar: 1:33pm On Jan 11, 2008
@ nateeevs,
nicolas anelka might start in tomorrow's game against spurs according to avram grant. petr cech has also shaken off his injury and its all good in the hood. the fees are now reported to be around 15 million. nicolas anelka will be a hit at chelsea and i think his combination with drogba in a 4-4-2 formation will be dangerous. this is why i fear chelsea more than arsenal. 3 or 4 good buys and u are back on track. cheesy cheesy cheesy i wish sir alex ferguson can sign one quality striker too.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 1:12pm On Jan 11, 2008
@ wormedup,
please add jose antonio reyes, baptista, francis jeffers, arturo lupoli and jermaine pennant to your list.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by Cougar: 1:05pm On Jan 11, 2008
CHELSEA SIGN NICOLAS ANELKA
14 million pounds in a 4-&-1/2-year deal. drogba-anelka combination will be terrific to watch.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 12:37pm On Jan 11, 2008
@ tkb417,
kareem benzema will not even fancy a move to arsenal. in his interview, he said he is relishing a move to man utd and he wants to play with world class players like rooney, giggs, ronaldo and scholes. how many world class players are in arsenal, if i may ask. besides, what is to say arsenal will win a title this season?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 12:40pm On Jan 10, 2008
@ lordimpaq,
ferguson is after liverpool's records. before the start of the premiership, it was liverpool 18-7 man utd in the league titles won. today, the result has changed significantly. it stands at liverpool 18-16 man utd. ferguson has come out of the closet and said he won't quit until he beats liverpool. cheesy cheesy
the next man utd manager is carlos quieroz. the number of portugese players will grow in the next few years, veloso, bosingwa, etc are joining soon.
besides, manucho is from angola-a portugese colony so mr queiroz is building his army gradually.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 12:34pm On Jan 10, 2008
i trust wenger to include 3 senior players on the trip to white hart lane. expect to see rosicky, ade and maybe hleb in a fortnight.
he will be very stupid to think these bunch of over-rated young guns will go to spurs and nick a victory. i believe tottenham with ledley king minus paul robinson is 80% better. cheesy cheesy cheesy wenger lost the plot yesterday and i saw a young o'hara took the midfield away from gilberto and denilson. robbie keane and defoe squandered the best chances on the night but i am confident arsenal will stand tall at white hart lane. spurs can never beat arsenal.
just like the way villa can never beat fergie's boys.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 12:27pm On Jan 10, 2008
@ akinalabi,
united will be announcing a 245 million pounds turnover today and i think fergie might make his move after watching berba last night.
compare berba's contribution to saha's efforts against aston villa and fergie might be thinking diamonds. cheesy cheesy cheesy man u needs one more quality striker to compete in the coming months if ferguson is serious about the treble chase.
it was glad to see gary neville score a goal against everton yesterday in a reserves game, one more quality striker and we will win the treble.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 12:17pm On Jan 10, 2008
@ nazzyon,
that news is almost stale now. cheesy cheesy cheesy
check this out,
manchester united---------------------------------will probably win the epl.
manchester united + berbatov-------------------will definitely win the epl + ucl
ferguson, pls break the bank and sign the bulgarian.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 10:32pm On Jan 09, 2008
@ nateevs,
trust me, arsenal has been played off the park. i am yet to see arsenal string 5 passes together. eduardo is absent.
i now know spurs have been missing ledley king. he has been able to keep bendtner, van persie and eduardo mute. wenger is angry.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cougar: 9:58pm On Jan 09, 2008
@ tkb417,
the gunners are here again. how can anyone compare saha to adebayor? adebayor my fucking foot.
there r over 10 strikers playing outside the big 4 better than adebayor in the epl. saha is top class. he has scored 20 epl league goals before.
how many arsenal strikers bar henry have scored 20 epl goals under wenger?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cougar: 9:51pm On Jan 09, 2008
@ nateevs,
trust me, they will come here to say its their 2nd team that played. i just wish ferguson can break the bank and sign dimitar.
berba plays so elegantly. he is proud, lazy, non-challant but very effective. what a player. he is too good not to be playing in the big 4.
i will sell saha, fletcher, brown and silvestre for berbatov after watching the first 45 mins.
