Some of you joking about age need to think about the fact that this woman isn't dating a much older man, she married him and had his son. If she's a good partner to this man and a good mother, let's forgive the rest. Clearly, she doesn't want to be poor, and wants her children to have everything. There's nothing wrong with that. At least she's not married to a oyinbo (that's truly disgusting).
Health1,250 Processed Foods Contain Preservative That May Harm Immune System by Cousin9999(op): 11:48pm On Mar 28, 2021
https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/health/2021/03/26/pop-tarts-contain-chemical-may-harm-immune-system-ewg-study-says/7002649002/
A new study suggests a preservative used in popular foods such as Pop-Tarts, Rice Krispies Treats and Cheez-Its could be bad for consumers.

TBHQ, or tert-butylhydroquinone, is used to extend the shelf lives of nearly 1,250 processed foods, according to the study released by the Environmental Working Group. But it also may harm the immune system.

“Before the pandemic, chemicals that may harm the immune system’s defense against infection or cancer did not receive sufficient attention from public health agencies," Olga Naidenko, EWG's vice president for science investigations and lead author of the new study, said in a press release. "To protect public health, this must change.”

The environmental advocacy group is calling for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to reconsider the permitted use of TBHQ in processed foods, as well as urging the agency to test all food chemicals for safety.

The use of the preservative has been defended by food companies and other nonprofits.

"Providing safe, delicious, quality food for consumers is our top priority," Kellogg Company spokesperson, Kris Bahner, said in an email to USA TODAY. "TBHQ is a common antioxidant, approved for safe use by the FDA, that many companies use in numerous products to help protect food’s flavor and freshness."

TBHQ is used to help prevent fats from oxidation, which can cause foods to lose flavor, change color and deplete their nutritional value, said Megan Meyer, director of science communications at the International Food Information Council, a nonprofit supported by food, beverage and agricultural industries.

"While there were some concerns in the 80s and 90s about high doses of TBHQ causing precancerous tumors in animal models, a 2004 European Food Safety Authority Panel found that TBHQ is not carcinogenic," Meyer told USA TODAY via email. "In the U.S., the FDA regulates how much TBHQ can be added to foods: TBHQ levels cannot account for more than 0.02 percent of the fat and oil in the food."

The study published this week in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health. EWG researchers used data from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Toxicity Forecaster, or ToxCast, to assess the health hazards of the most common chemicals added to food.

Christianity EtcRe: Is God Really Against Taking Alcohol Or Just Against Excess Of It? by Cousin9999: 8:15pm On Mar 28, 2021

The general contours of biblical teaching are that wine is a blessing from the Lord, something to be enjoyed. But like any good gift from God, it can be abused: in this case, abuse involves addiction and drunkenness. But whenever we condemn others who are able to enjoy God’s good gifts in moderation as though they were abusers, we misrepresent biblical Christianity.

CrimeAsian Student Gets 7 To 20 Years For Poisoning Black Roommate by Cousin9999(op): 10:42pm On Mar 27, 2021
https://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/local/ex-lehigh-university-student-gets-7-to-20-years-in-poisoning-of-roommate/2754666/

A former Lehigh University student who admitted poisoning his roommate’s food and drink with a heavy metal substance three years ago has been sentenced to seven to 20 years in state prison.

Yukai Yang, now 24, who apologized Wednesday in court to the victim, Juwan Royal, will be deported to China after he completes his sentence.

The former Lehigh University chemistry student pleaded guilty to attempted murder last fall, acknowledging that he bought thallium in March 2018 and began slipping it into Royal's food and mouthwash. Royal testified earlier that he suffered weight loss, headaches and nausea. He was diagnosed with heavy metal poisoning in April 2018.

Thallium is odorless and tasteless, and can be fatal in humans. The soft metal is used internationally in electronics manufacturing and for other purposes. It once was used in rat poison in the U.S, but has been banned for that use since the 1970s.

Months before the attempted murder charge, Yang was charged with ethnic intimidation for allegedly damaging his roommate’s TV and writing a racial epithet on his belongings. Royal is Black.

Yang said in court Wednesday that he was sorry for hurting Royal, for the pain he caused the man’s family, and for the shame he brought to his own family and country, The (Allentown) Morning Call reported.

”I cannot undo the damage to your body,” Yang said, referring to the still somewhat-debilitating effects Royal suffers from the heavy metal. “I cannot erase the pain I caused your family. I am here today to accept the punishment I deserve.”

Northampton County Judge Stephen Baratta said the defendant, who has a history of mental health issues, lashed out when the roommate suggested in their senior year that he was considering moving out, WFMZ-TV reported. He called the defendant “an emotionally-wounded, damaged person who couldn’t handle rejection.”

Royal told the court that he remains very concerned about the unknown long-term effects of thallium poisoning. And while he said he can’t forgive Yang for what he put his family through, he has forgiven his former roommate for what he did to him.

I think as a society we can forgive and forget this when people show remorse, admit to wrongdoing, and try to do something about those wrongs.

She needs to admit she did something wrong. She needs to admit that there's no difference between a streetwalker and what she did. She needs to work with organizations trying to fight human tr_fficking and s_xual exploitation.

This is the same country that has "cultural" performances everywhere of topless female dancers in "traditional" attire. Now, I'm not saying that isn't traditional. I'm just saying they know what they're doing. It's not a coincidence that all the dancers have huge melons and small waists.

Clearly this guy is looking for attention, but he really didn't do anything inappropriate. However, he's a grown man walking around a mall in a leather speedo. If you had a daughter, you would want to fight him. Right or wrong.
