you're really cracking me up,Yea there's now kada cinema in Benin, nd about island being overrated well I just like that it's free from the Lagos hustle nd bustle nd rowdiness so I spend most of my little time in lag there. nd also I have some very good friends in Benin already both male nd female so I won't be that desperate for new ones .

One sack of guguru for u,I've really found some stuffs that interested me about the power sector while preparing for my plenty disco interviews but I never dey sure if I'm really interested in going that extra mile as far as power is concerned tho I told them I really wanted to be a part of that revolution during my interview.

Please understand that the confidentiality condition stated in the letter is the reason why those who have received the letter can not paste it on Nairaland or elsewhere, they would be doing that at their own peril.

Please exercise some patience, if you were recruited by Sahara Power, you will get the mail, then you can go ahead and do whatever you like with it.

dabrains: take a bus to cms, u should get BRT from oshodi, drop at cms then take barbeach/eko hotel, drop at imb or tiamiyu if possible. from imb crossover to d oda side of the road, walk straight down(still on d same road), first turning by ur left, u would see d hotel with the name written at the top. make sure u always get to ericsson office at walter carrington before 5:30pm to join the staff bus, would save u cash and stress.

Well Since you have real time experience , do you think a Gp of 4/5 . stands a chance for RA/TA (Msc or PHD).....I studied Elect/Elect.
I know the whole system is complex and competitive ! But your answer would be more practical.

I'm not applying to those IVY Leagues anyway. I don't have that kind of money to Gamble!!

I know of WES though, but I don't know If my GP wld put me in the 3.5/4. range.
I have to try and publish to boost my chances, or atleast submit a paper to some online journal..


Bros,am glad baba imperiouxx has told u now...don't knw why u scared of applying to the top notch skulz..allz left is to throw in doze stellar GRE scores and d tight SOP...my cuz in TAMU made a 2.2 from a Nigeria skul wiv a GRE score of 313..and he's doing his masters in pet engr and currently on an RA...bros,all dis long stories is to say dat u tight....last last,na d favor of God win am...cheers man...

bigfrancis21: Success, bro. Your score isn't too bad, per se. If getting an assistantship is your greatest need, you might want to apply to less competitive schools. That way you stand a better chance of landing an admission + graduate assistantship.

Must it be a TA? How about RA? To land a research assistantship, you'll need to contact professors with similar research interests with you. Its a tactical game. Don't express your intent to be an RA in your first email or call to him. Many profs regard that as standoffish and that you're only interested in the financial benefits of it. Start first by talking about how you read several of his research works, how you liked it and how you can help him improve on some areas of it which you think needs a little touch up. Ehen! That shows a serious student, not some financial benefit hooker. He'll definitely reply you, appreciating your appraisals and asking you further questions concerning his research papers.
Of course, you'll need to do your own homework by downloading his research papers and reading them thoroughly to get acquainted with them. If there's space on his team, he'll definitely employ you.

If you wish to rewrite the GRE, I wish you utmost success. Cheers.
