EducationWhat Actually Happened In LASU Today by Crispels(op):
In reaction to this thread ( www.nairaland.com/2540479/lasu-sug-blocks-school-over#37163292) about Lagos State University Students' Union(LASUSU) protest against mass failure in the just concluded exams. The earlier thread is devoid of solid facts and lacks coherence. In this light, I will like to set the records straight.
Two things happened in Lagos State University today.

1.National Association of Nigerian Students South West(NANS zone D) came to LASU today and blocked the school main gates. The reasons for this action is not far fetched. NANS had earlier given the State government 7-days ultimatum to solve the hitherto LASU VC crisis(which has been lingering since March 16).
nigeria.shafaqna.com/EN/NG/795460 . The 7 days ultimatum elapsed and the state government didn't take any action. Consequent on this , NANS comrades came to campus today and locked the two main gates, leaving banners behind.

2. The Students' union, coincidentally also had plans to protest prior to NANS arrival. The SUG staged a protest against an imminent mass failure in GnS 201 and 301. According to the SUG president (AWO) they heard 75percent were bound to fail these GnS exams. Thus, they acted. The mass failure is exclusive to GnS alone and does not cut across all courses as many people are being made to believe. The reasons for this mass failure boils down to the huge number of students that writes the exam. Missing scripts is always prominent in this course.

Consequent on the foregoing, it suffices to posit a conclusion that; LASU situation is not as bad as the media portrays it presently. All she needs is more attention from the State government. We,the students populace plead to all parties involved: the State government, our fathers and mothers in the Staff unions and our sagacious management to please come together on the peace table and reach a long lasting solution.

LASU is our darling, our future and our pride, let's join hands to move it forward.

God bless Lagos State University.

God bless Nigeria.

Thanks.
EducationRe: LASU SUG Blocks School Over Student Mass Failure Today (Photos) by Crispels(m): 6:52pm On Aug 20, 2015
This information is not well researched.
This was what actually happened. The SUG heard a news that 75percent of students are bound to fail GnS 201 and 301, hence, they acted. It is not a mass failure that cuts across all courses. Its exclusive to GnS. The mass failure in GnS is mostly credited to missing scripts, and instead of these scripts to be found and scores duly awarded, they just upload zero on victims profile.

i have just one advice for you.Never depend on anyone for anything, nobody owes you any ladeer to success.Go after your own mind and be an entrepreneur and you will be amazed how successfull you will be.When you give people the impression and allow them to come to your aid consciously they will start laying madening claims on your success in the nearest future.Your future is in your hands and the future is now.Forget about law or whatever,be flexible with your thinking and your actions and you definitely will come out victoriously financially. The future belongs to those who take action by taking the bull by the horn.I studied international relations and during my nysc,i leanrt ICT and today when i do presentations for the DG and the board of directors, they keep asking if it was ict i did back in school due to my flexibility in it and they were even giving me an offer to come and work fully as a staff, but i declined.i prefer they pay me my millions and i leave as a consultant. The society is rotten already and everything seems to be going the opposite direction of normal.never allow that to pull you down but rather think out of the box of LAW.That you studied law doesnt mean you will be successfull through it.Dont relent and remember, its not over untill you win.
Wow bro! am a student of History and International relations.... Can we chat sir?? will like you to answer some questions for me.

That is not gonna happen in a 100 years. There are always new initiates that are made to swear death oaths during initiation.

All those pastors are liars. If only they know what it even takes to become an Ooni, I can't even imagine the amount of oaths swearing and initiation to different traditional cults.

Soon they would come and tell us how the Oba of Benin received christ at their revival or holy ghost night after his demise must have been announced. Also, all these ritual stuffs would be child's play compared to what will happen in Benin when their Oba crosses to the other side. Sijuwade still allowed some modernity in his reign.

It's was not difficult to see the late Ooni if you were good friends with him or his family.
I think the Oba of Benin will be burried in Ife too??
PoliticsRe: I Will Bring Sahara Reporters Down - Barr Francis by Crispels(m): 11:50am On Aug 08, 2015
Franzeez:
Hi Nairaland, my name is Francis, I am a Lawyer who graduated from University of Ilorin with a First Class in law, I proceeded to law school in Lagos and upon finishing I moved to the Harvard Law School in the US. I am presently in Australia where I work as an International political diplomat and international human right Lawyer.

My mind has been baffled for years with the emergence of Negative Journalism which has spearheaded the Nigerian Media championed by Sahara Reporters, I have Keenly observed the manner and approach of their broadcast and publications on YouTube and all their platforms and i think that is not Journalism, that is a campaign to Violence and war. The content and interpretation of the messages of this media house can set a nation on fire. I am fully aware of the international laws that guides Journalism and I think Sahara Reporters has gone past their limit. For me what the Instigate is hate and rancor, it is a destructive media.

My dear friends I have decided to pursue a lawsuit against them and I am willing to fight it to the highest court in the world. Ibhave posted this on my Facebook, and got thousands of reaction, I am preparing to get it on YouTube and other media platforms. I think this kind of Journalism is bad for Nigeria and am preparing my evidence and facts to challenge this case in court. I will pray that the court brings down Sahara reporters from the web and block their passage to dissemination of this violence culpable reporting.

Same in Lagos State University, LASU bro.

since the inception of the department of History and International Studies about 30years ago, nobody has ever made a first class. 2'1 is like paradise in our department. the closest scholars get is a 4.2 cgpa. Although the last set, there were about 10 2'1s out of about 100graduates.

Even if you Google the incident, you will barely find links. Very bad of the media.

EducationThe Unjust Media Bias Towards Unilag by Crispels(op): 5:17am On Jul 17, 2015
Late last month, Unilag SUG President, Martins was attacked and got hospitalized. Yet, we haven't seen it on media( with only sahara reporters with this sick link to show for it saharareporters.com/2015/06/21/unilag-student-leader-hospitalized-after-assault-bus-driver) . Assuming it was Uniben,Uniport, or even their neighbour LASU that experienced such unfortunate incident, it will be all over the media, With headlines like 'Cultists Butchers LASU SUG President'. Let's even assume they won't over beat other schools issues, LASU and Unilag are both in Lagos, but when bad things happen in Unilag, they try to burry it and keep it away from the media as possible as they can but if it such thing happened in LASU,it will be all over the media eventhough worst things happens in Akoka.

Why the Media Injustice??
