I am going to write a 'no Vaseline' series about my experience here that most gurus tend to ignore or acknowledge. Dulles is definitely closer then....because even from dulles if he calls Uber or shuttle bus it might be around $20 to drive him there . It will be much easier if he goes to Dulles

But if he must use flight to newyork then Bestbus will take him to Fairfax for $35 . From JFK he finds his way to Penn station by train.

Then at Penn station find the Bestbus. They have service to 2 locations in Fairfax County from Penn Station in New york. They go to Springfield or Vienna both are the closest to his destination in Virginia. He needs to check out of springfield or Vienna which is closest to his exact location...so to Newyork dont use greyhound instead use Bestbus

Virginia international university was first opened in 1998 , which usually means it will not be a good school . Most times in America the much older schools are better and more established ......... Also there have been a post in the past about Schools that are "unoffically blacklist" and can cause problems either with VISA or At POE and mostly likely this school is one of them and i say that mainly from my little quick read about the school

You need to research well about a school before you apply if not when you finish it would be very difficult to get a job despite the money you paid in tuition. ......... I can not really give you feedback on this school because i dont know if there is a blacklist with the VO for sure , and if there is then no matter how many times you go this issue will still pop up .......if you are genuinely interested in going to school then the VO did you a favour which u cannot see now. The VO saved you from wasting your money in a school that is no good. You are better off applying to a better school for spring and then re try at the embassy . ..........however if you are still determined to go to this school, then you can retry as well and hope the next VO doesnt make it an issue

Pls gurus, this Virginia international university thing is becoming what i don't understand. i remember reading in one of the earlier parts that VOs deny people with VIU's I20 visa and reasons were stated.it will be great if any of our gurus can take time to post a list of few other schools with this issue of visa, so genuine students don't start accumulating denials without knowing the cause.Alternatively, a general advice on this subject would make a lot of sense.Thank you plenty.

The moment u ask people to modify transcripts, then u are not asking for a transcript of the real conversation that took place.this is just like u asking for coke to be diluted before its taken, imagine how the taste will be, it losses that sharp taste and you don't get its real taste anymore.i strongly believe that in this thread, we are interested in exactly how your interview went and not modified and sweatened version of ur interview, who cares about that? pls i think this is exactly how his interview went.
i have noticed that a first post is that which comes from the natural flow in the mind/head. a modified version is that which is typed to suit the reader; its untrue and in-genuine in most cases.
NB: Read through his transcript all over, he keeps emphasizing on the word 'GRACE", this should make a meaning to you.no offence pls.Thank you.

bros, though i b tata for the level but from ma finding and what is preached almost all the time on here....the answer to the above is a NO NO....the normal 20hrs within campus during academic semesters and 40hrs within campus during summer.anumekele o..!

My visa was approved on tuesday.I'm really very sorry for posting this late transcript. While i was celebrating the victory i broke my phone screen.I had to fix it first so i could be able to access nairaland as i didnt even remember my p/w.
The grace of the almighty God was at work in my life that fateful day. I have been following nairaland since february. I started reading from thread6 and when it was time to start my application,there was no need to start asking any questions as i have gained alot.

Fastforward to the day of my interview. I did all the necessary stuffs,biometrics and all. I was on the queue and i heard STEP FORWARD PLS. There was this particular VO that was on a denying streak that day. He didnt waste any time at all and was very quick to say sorry your visa has been denied.He denied the young girl before me even as her mum talked and talked to convince the VO. He beckoned and i stepped forward.

dont know if it makes sence to visit ur school, try to see if ur principal will be ready to write waec to get that corrected(might take time) and also see if u can get something like letter of attestation to 'age wrongly submitted during waec reg'....PLUS the affidavit.tell principal u need that urgently.just from an amateur mind.still look out for better options! best of luck!

though i am an amateur, i think waec original certs dont carry dates of birth no more, check urs to comfirm this, plus get an affidavit from a court affirming to the correct date, take that along with other palis..as to how to explain progression within that gap, my bosses on here are experts.....i get my master for here...am sure he is reading....he will b ready to help.

You'll need sufficient data to download all the materials. However, you don't need all of them. First, you need to download the official prep software from the Dropbox link. Make sure you take all the practice test for all sections after going through the noteful videos in the Google Drive link (second one).The videos are all you'll need. Don't bother to read the bulky materials therein. Focus on the sections in this order; Speaking, Writing, Reading, Listening. I had five days to prepare and the materials helped land a decent score. I came across a well structured format for each of the six speaking questions. I don't have that on drive but could forward it to you later.
