joobseekar:To end all these, we should just ask Mr Kyari, invoking the FOI act. ![]() I am already having a headache. |
Twhizzy2:Read up my initial post. I concluded by saying the process is still ongoing, some panels have not concluded their reports for onward transmission to the paying officers hence the batch payment. Where is the contradiction? |
I don't even think the process has been concluded, it's less than a month since the final person was interviewed, even Big private firms aren't that quick. Remove emotions and think deeply, there is no relationship between APL and payment. I was paid by Farouk, but if I don't want to be emotional and be objective, I can deduce that the process is still on and no relationship at all. |
Twhizzy2:Sincerely, I don't think so, but there is more to it than it meets the eye. |
mosgoon:It may even be more than that. Like I said, they seem to have adopted an unorthodox means. They are keeping their cards too close to their chest. |
BenFlash:Let me put it this way, the process has been seamless and transparent since they advertised. On that premise, I would give them the benefit of the doubt. |

Having worked in the Bank and as an up and coming Accountant, using the trend, postulation, hypothesis and all sorts here, these are my submissions. 1. NNPC has decided to use an unorthodox method in selecting the successful candidates, especially given it was a subjective interview involving thousands of candidates. 2. NNPC sent us text and mails concerning the interview, was it not done simultaneously? Was there a delay of more than a day amongst recepients? Which leads me to the next point. 3. NNPC has one of the best database any organisation can have (reason being they have the resources) Their IT department is up and doing, the only detail that was missing during the point of registration is our Bank details right? What then would it cost them (time and money) to collate our Bank data (reconcile it with their database) group everyone according to Bank, send to the Accounting department then to the respective Banks for simultaneous pay. If at all some people didn't receive on the day, it should have been few with discrepancies in their account name or number. Mind you, Banks process payment for Civil/Public workers of various States and Government institutions in less than 2 days (that's if they are really busy). The process came to an end on the 10th and first payment came on the 16th (mind you, the details of everyone was vetted each day immediately after the interview, so there was no back log. The details of the first day, were vetted the next day and so on.) So, they had the opportunity to pay everyone at once, everyone, but what then did they do? Pay in batches, now this is the catch and d big question. It's the final piece missing in this Jigsaw. The hypothesis of someone fixing it in a Fixed Deposit doesn't hold water, if it were true, the pay wouldn't have come as quick as it came. These are my final thoughts; 1. Each 29 or 39 panels had numbers of candidates allotted to them, some where more busy than the others. My panel had a minus of 2 persons on my interview day, perhaps, they were less busy and so submitted their report early, which led me to being among the first batch of payees paid by Mr Farouk. I think NNPC can't pay until some panels are through with their submissions, hence the batch payment, some panels might have not concluded on their submissions. If u recall, some members of the panel are extremely busy people and some flew in just because of this process. This is my submission. |

Urbanist2050:I wrote location but that's not the point. My friend that had her exam in Lagos relocated to Abuja few weeks after the CBT exam. She was paid 20k, even after writing her location as Abuja. What did they use? Her initial data during registration, that's what they are using to pay everyone. That paper helps them get your name, Bank and account number then they go back to their database to trace your initial registration point. It is assumed that you should come from the city where you wrote your CBT exam. Regards. |
Ukodo1123:They only came alive when I mentioned I had worked in a Bank......I was like it's in my CV now, pls peruse that CV and at the same time scared. |
Between being among the first two to be interviewed and being the last two which would you prefer?..... And which of the set is likely to be thoroughly grilled? I ask this because I was the second to the last on my date and my panel looked so tired, the first 5 minutes they weren't paying much attention to what I said. My interview didn't last up to 10 minutes, was so disappointed, they didn't even peruse my CV. The Chief Panelist even said my CV was so long (Didn't exceed 3 pages o) ![]() |
gracile:Lol.... I am fine, you remember me? |
You are back my Jos babe |
Kevlala:I studied Economics. |
Does NNPC have any bias against Bankers (Ex or Current)? During my interview, in the course of answering one of the situational questions, I used a scenario when I was still in the Bank, suddenly, they all exclaimed, "you've worked in the Bank!!"........ I was so shocked and scared, thought of withdrawing the statement, but I said that was many years ago. |
pansophist:Not really, there are lots of beautiful ones in Plateau. But I prefer my tribe and they are usually light skin. |
chidiebereuzoma:Lol.....Bros any Lady wey get that NNPC job go dey seek Ministers and President son's. I no like to dey carry overload. ![]() |

ifeanyija:Lol.... This Telecoms company never do you strong thing. Just this week, I did a sub on Airtel for 750mb for 500 naira, in less than 20mins just only opening my Watsap, my data was exhausted. The thing surprised me, I knew getting it back would be an exhausting process knowing fully well the gimmicks these Telcos use tru their customer care agents. Na so I just jejely comot d sim. This is d same 750mb I used for 2 weeks prior to now. I am not surprised, this is Nigeria, everybody be....... ![]() |
God has promised us he will give us beauty for ashes, He said we shall blossom like d tree planted besides the river side, He said he is the vine and we are the branches, so we can do all things through him that strengths us, He said he will watch over us with a pillar of cloud by day and a cloud of fire by night, He said he will give us an expected end, a good and fulfilled life. One thing is that he didn't say how he will do all these, he didn't say whether he will use NNPC, PWC, FBN, KPMG, FIRS, PTDF, SHELL. He said he will do it, and that's all that matters, so wether you get this APL or not, hold on to God's word and his promises. Stop worrying, you shall have a beautiful life, that's the objective. |
ojonugba2014:Okay. |
ojonugba2014:I will pay 3k today, can we meet at Computer village Ikeja today? |
fibonacci2526:I know, I am paying extra 10k, it's a fair deal.to.be honest because my current phone (Tecno y2) is in a commatose and I don't see myself saving up to buy a phone. I guess this is how it's done in d abroad, you pay in installments rather than outright purchase. I got d 32gb version, d 64gb is 53k. I have a laptop to cushion that. |
innobarca:Any other mid range sir (5k to 10k)? |
Just got my Redmi 7 yesterday tru easy buy, paid only 15k but will pay 14k monthly for the next 3 months. The phone is really cool. Right now na to handle am small.small till I pay off. ![]() |
