These are a few things that could have happened

1) A bad Ram chip (In this case , you just have to change the RAM or clean the one there and change the slots)

2) Graphics chip failure (A Technician/ Engineer would get this fixed by heating the chip)

3)A damaged component on the motherboard (It would have to be replaced)

First off, you made a mistake by plugging it in the power socket. A power surge could have happened without you knowing. But this post is not to blame you.

Try this...

1) Press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds. Do this without the battery inside (This is so as to discharge any charge left on the capacitor)

2) Now try and power it on with just the AC adapter, don't put the battery inside this time.

Let us know the result here....

Good evening Sir, I have this Hp 840 I bought last year (2nd grade). 2 weeks ago, I left it at home on the power socket to charge in anticipation of power as I have always done.

I didn't check it after I came home that day only for.me to try use it one week later and it wouldn't come on. I shows light on the power button and the tab keypad whenever I plug it but never comes on, I thought it was d charger but it isn't as I tested another charger and the same result, I dont have time to take it to computer village.

Today I tried opening the battery compartment and just removed it and fixed it back yet, nothing.

Prior to this, the battery and the laptop has been working very fine without no issue.

In Philosophy, it is said that Objectivity means talking from the view of the object.

Thats what I am going to try to do, no pity party, no emotions.

Sometime this year, I went for an interview and also met a host of other prospective candidates around, some of us were jobless, some already had jobs.

We began discussing about d pay, we speculated between 70 to 100k, I told them that it cant be more than a 70k given its the Chinese (very stingy persons). Amongst us was a guy already earning 150k somewhere, we scolded him, how can one attempt to leave a good paying job for peanuts, we warned him about the consequence of loosing his good job. He had his interview and quickly left, I felt he was so greedy, even if u want to leave a 150k job, it should be for a higher pay, his friend said he's fond of jumping from one interview to the other. With a pay of 150k, a lot of people would seat at that place for at least 2 years.

Man, the ordinary man has always been selfish, he seeks himself alone, remember Cain and Abel, Jacob and Esau, Absalom and David, David and Saul, the list is endless.

For a long time, I tried to convince myself that everything on earth doesnt revolve around Economics/Money/Status/Financial stability but I was wrong, as I get older I know better.

I dont want to make this longer than necessary, but if your financial position as they say in Accounting is not where your lady wants it to be enough for her to commit to u then, she is still in the market and when that guy comes with her bag of expectations, she will jump.

It is what it is, call them gold diggers, hoes, sluts, it is what it is, man seeks himself first, and don't forget that your country is the poverty capital of the world, everyone wants to escape it.

The 20k is something, there's a lady who would be happy with it, but not this one. People will continue to search for jobs, and partners that meet their financial expectations.

It is not ideal, it is not fair, it is not right in a suituation where human emotions are involved but is the World fair itself?

Yh she did. It didn't happen because she wanted more committment and I didn't because of d tribal differences, moreso I didn't want to do a hit and run.

The relative cost is why people leave and moreso why we need to be angry with our leaders.

Production should be cheaper here, we have coal, gas, thermal, hydro power and now solar. We have the technical know how to an extent and even if we dont, how much influence does an expartriate have on the average cost on production? So why is cost of living relatively higher here than even down south in South Africa?

The Dollar is d defacto world currency, so comparability is easy, what Nations do is to convert those Dollars into local notes.

Now, a guy earning 50k here cant just earn that there y? Money here has lost its value while money there has lots of value (talking about nominal and real PPP/Income)

We are too import driven, import run, it weakens our currency and our economy. Any Nation that has a high nominal per capita income and a weak real per capita income compared with other Nation is bound to loose its citizens to that Nation and vice versa.

Africa's economy is a whole mess, moreso Nigeria's.

Hack Saw Ridge gave me quite the breakdown. The part were he'd pray "Lord one more" & then head back to save one more person really shook me, it was truly one heck of a selfless act.

Cant ever forget that part, that was the climax of d movie.

Strike Back ended in season 5, but after a few years, Cinemax resurrected it with a rubbish season 6.

I didn't bother to finish it.

Season 1-3 was d bomb.

Saving Private Ryan is too realistic, it caused post-traumatic stress disorders in veterans. Some battle scenes were too realistic to people who actually had participated in the war.

Movies like this Pearl Harbor, Hack Saw Ridge makes me emotional.

I prefer movies based on true life events.
