Nigeria has many parties vying for position but out of 27 parties only 2 are major parties and that is the APC and the PDP, then you have second tier parties which is the labour,YPP,SDP.
For a state or combo of states they need to have influence at federal level and state level in any of the two(APC and PDP).
In the PDP set up no group is as loyal as the south south states and not the south east.But do you see the sSS pulling down the PDP.no
Now let us say the S.E caucus in the PDP wants to make a stake in vying for the post of the president as[b] a reward [/b].
Does it make political sense to leave the PDP to a second tier party instead of gaining the backing of both the northern caucus ,the southwest caucus and the ss caucus .
