Kenyan oppositon lost two elections before they grasped the fact that they had to work together. And win they did, under the same electoral system wherein they lost twice.

Buhari won, after losing three times, because the oppositon in 2015 was united, while the governing party was divided.

Tinubu won for the same reason GEJ won in 2011, the oppostion was divided into 4 parties...just like it was in 2011.

At the end, unity matters. If Obi and Atiku and Wike and Kwakwaso had been more humble...if the Asaba accord to get a Southern candidate for PDP had been adhered to, Tinubu and Buhari would have been the ones being angry about losing.

Just one question for you man, how does Delta State feed Lagos? Me I like to learn because this is the first time I'm hearing this.

First and foremost, the federal allocation.

Oil resources are sold, and the revenues shared to hungry states in the SW, including Lagos.

Secondly, delta state is a major source of federal govt dollars.

Without delta state, govts would not be able to carry out infrastructural projects in the South West and yorubas would not be able to source dollars from the bank, for schooling trade and e.t.c.

Without dollars, imports cannot happen, and I don't need to tell you what that will lead to.

And lastly, without delta state, Nigerian currency would be less than tissue paper because there is very little dollars that would be coming in to support the naira.
The vast majority of Nigerian dollars come from oil exports and delta is a major major oil state.

So respect your elders.

I've been to some Eastern states, especially Enugu, I've not traversed the North, I was only in Abuja so I can't say much. Without any bias, they need development more than Lagos. I've mentioned this here long before the elections. My sojourn took me to the books and cranny and it was quite an eyesore - zero health facilities from government. The Catholic Church is trying though. Now, you should be more worried about your corrupt government that refused to deliver democracy dividends to the people. I'll be annoyed and reactive to my father's failures before I remember my friend's father's failures cause it's not really my business.

Igbos deserve better. Question your representatives. They collect federal government allocation yet do nothing! Zero! Nada! That is REAL corruption. As if that's not enough.
