RomanceRe: Guys/ladies: How Many Affairs Are You Willing To Forgive? by Cuddlemii: 3:57pm On Sep 20, 2011
I don't really get the rationale behind this topic. Why are people fond on taking water to aid another person's digestion. Why do we dwell on negativity all the time. Men are polygamous in nature, the population of women are higher than that of men. It also takes 2 to tango, anybody be it guy or girl that gets intimate with someone else's hubby or wife is also at fault. So you see its really a dicey issue. I will rather bother about my own well being, development, advancement without forgetting to love, submit & cater to my hubby and kids.

Once I have a peaceful home then I am good, I am not going to be all inspector gadget on any man, its his balls and health so if he chooses to make mistakes, he deals with them. Just don't bring any diseases home for me that is when I will kill you slowly. If you bring a child from outside, I will care for the child with your resources, its not hard. You bring another wife home, I wont leave my home & take full responsibility of my children all alone and grow grey hair. God forbid but poo happens in life, you either triumph over them or let issues bring you down. You should always make yourself happy first and let others bother about their promiscuity.

I cant cheat cos I wont even marry a guy that doesn't take me there as simple as that. It naija now, affairs plenty, some guys own is to look at every given buttocks and bosom, all is annoying but is that enough for a lady to kill herself and aid the man replace to her 2 days after her demise. You only live life once, just take things easy, you can't cheat or change destiny. What if you never find out your guy is cheating? Are u in their hearts, so I don't have time. I don't like women sleeping around cos it affect the body parts of the lady, makes her sag, womanliness expand, unwanted preg, removed womb etc so its rather unfortunate that its not in the favor of ladies to cheat.

My above points buttressed on the hubby aspect & not Bf cos there is no for better for worse yet, u can still scram at dating stage, Ha, I can't shout. So for dating level as in bf or gf level, once I notice you have affair with a lady more attractive than me, I erase your existence in my life like those Sci-fi movies because you are indirectly sending me an SMS that I am not your spec, so deuces.

@cuddlemii I've been silently following all your posts, and I'm impressed with the way you tackle issues and the language you use in doing so, but which one come be "away".
I was about to tell nellydee "shutup" when she talked about character but big thanks to you for handling the issue gently.
I still want to say that, if your resumption date is Oct. 11, then you still have enough time. The embassy will surely make a decision on your case as you submitted your application about 4 months to your start date - no embassy has exceeded 4 months in the processing of a study permit.
Thank u dearie. I am chilling for the embassy till when they are ready for me. Nellydee was just being expressive. The whole stress is on everyone abeg. Its just temporary though, we will all be calm soon.

Hotstepper:
All of you should calm down and pray. Nobody can really tell what they consider while issuing visas,
Pray for us too. Thanx.

EpicWin:
@Cuddlemii

So madam, I should disregard a specific request by the embassy for anoda start date which must be on an acceptance letter abi?

My school gave me till the 21st and I've gone as far as submitting this written statement from my school personally upper last week Friday (even was lucky enough to go inside and submit on a FRIDAY). Immediately after I came out, I got the same e-mail asking 4 an alternate start date on anoda acceptance letter. If two e-mails isn't enough cause to take this so called 'RASH' action (as u call it), then I don't know what is oh.

If they haven't given a definate answer on any specific enquiries, then I'll fold my arms and wait. 2 emphatic e-mails in quick succession is enough for me to give them what they want.

Not everyone is in the same shoes so please @Wealth, make sure you are asked to provide a new start date b4 u follow in my shoes. I was asked oh.

Some pay tuition b4 visa and some don't. Some submit the last time their mothers had mensis while others supply the basic necessities. Some, like some lucky chap on here said his application wasn't so thoroughly put together and got it  while a friend of mine was denied after medical, having paid tuition and a 350million bank staty because they felt he wouldn't be able to afford is upkeep (Imagine!!!)

My humble advice; push your application fastidiously but politely. Do what's ASKED of u (someone else might not be asked) and with a clean mind and open hands, all will fall according to place.
Oga, I was just concerned for u as usual. I guess I over do it sometimes. I wasn't even away of the 2 emails, sorry for the oversight on my part. I still have hope for you though, nothing is impossible, you never can tell, you still have today & tomorrow. Best of luck. So what other start date did u submit.

I have acceded to the request of the embassy and sent a new start date. As the Hard-Copy is still in the mail, I sent a soft-copy for now and received an acknowledgement of reciept. Na God I dey look nau oh.
Wealth21:
@EpicWin I think I will just call d school and differ and send the copy off deferral let by mail, what do you think?
Why don't you both give them till tomorrow before making any rash move. Afterall, Nefron just got his own on Friday, 2 more days won't hurt except your school won't give you that grace. Let the embassy worry about your start whether you need to go now or later. Well I am hopeful for you guys sha cos I was told by today packages would be distributed. Best of luck.

@nellydee

I understand even if it is lengthy. I am only asking you to learn to tolerate people. When he replies you & arguments starts, how does that add to anyone's progress. I have friends who attended the Canadian University in Dubai & have crossed over since without any hassles likewise other countries. I just think real nigga was frustrated with the way Nigerians are treated like lepers when it comes to visa in our country when we are not that hostile to applicants applying for our own visa. The last time I went to the embassy, they wanted to beat up & gun down a pregnant woman because she dropped in front of the embassy. If she had been attended to at the stipulated time, it won't have escalated to that. I spent the whole day in front of the embassy only for them to ask me to send an email. Some people practically live there and feed on boiled groundnuts while they wait in anticipation for their visa. Why must people be treated as such because we are  going to pay for our fees & not going for hand outs or alms. I can go on and on, I was just calm because aggression & outburst doesn't solve anything but that would not stop me from stating the obvious. I read the dailies recently that a Nigerian ambassador or so had a dialogue with them to be a little bit lenient or else the same treatment would be given to their own people when they want to come here. That is why this year has been fantastic.

You are right, realnigga is right and I am right as well. Its our opinions & we have a right to stand by it. It is a free world.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada by Cuddlemii: 9:54am On Sep 19, 2011
@nellydee
In as much as you are right but the last time I checked we still have freedom of speech. Those are his opinions, its left for you to digest or disregard. Now your defense is another characteristic of a Nigerian. You have received you visa, probably if you hadn't you would have been furious too. Yes there is a process, the delay or decision given by them can be handled in different ways. You might choose to be civil but you can't speak for others, he must have gone through a lot to warrant such anger. So we should learn to manage people's utterances & understand that we are all peculiar people.

You said they look at character and so on. I don't think all that was necessary, I am sure we all have goals so lets stick to that rather than trade words or analyze the visa process when you are not present in the embassy. So your hearsay or assumption is typical of a Nigerian too as you don't work in the embassy neither do you know their mindset or job. If a consular sat you down to lecture you on the process then that is a different matter if not, face what you are here for.

I am sorry if I sound rude but if you going to be a critic then you had better be ready to be criticized too. Congrats on your visa & I see you have changed your location to Toronto. Nice & best of luck.
RomanceRe: In The Absence Of The Sense Of Touch by Cuddlemii: 9:32am On Sep 19, 2011
emofine:
I believe touch is the most significant of all our senses because it encompasses so many things. . . it is the sense we employ when we want to shield ourselves from harm, experience pleasure or relate to other people etc.

A person who sadly has lost their sense of touch obviously hasn't got the ability to feel again and even if they proceed to hug or hold another they wouldn't even know how much pressure they are applying to the said person

In the absence of the sense of touch I wonder how one can physically manifest their feelings such as love. . .

I'm not even solely talking about intimate relations. . .even a common hug would not do. . .
Well touch is not the most significant senses of all, maybe for romance though. No one would rather loose his or her eyes or nose. So the vision or sight & hearing to me are the more significant. Even romantically, my eyes are better off, how does the touch analyze or observe a human being. The good character & attributes that people keep hammering here as being important can't be noticed or measured with a touch. Do you go around touching people to get to know them or have any form of relations with. Your eyes can see volumes, read body language, see manners & appreciate even without the ears but your touch is useless without the eyes. You can't shield the dangers you can't see or hear about. When someone wants to slap you, you see the person approaching, then you hold the person's hands or slap him/her back. You can't even touch food, you still need to taste it to know its delicious. The sense of touch is the most dependent & functions along with other organ.

A common hug is not attributed to lovers or couples. Its wrong to serve your partner randoms. You partner deserves a special hug and not common hugs.

Just my 2 cents though.

Try serving her a taste of her own concoction as simple as that. They say love is reciprocal.

In between get something doing that you are passionate about, a 4 months old relationship is not worth having sleepless nights over. Of what use is it, when you are having doubts, she might be at home drinking tea with muffins while u stress. Give her a breather and she would be breathing down your throat in no time. If she is not bothered, kick her to the curb!
Religious fanaticism are killing thousands of girls daily.  I was stunned when a pastor told a battered woman she must REMAIN with her husband or God will judge her.  No offense to the bible thumpers, I do not see why a Lovely God will allow his child to remain in a relationship where she can die in the hands of her husband.

I know you didn't mention physical abuse however many unhappy relationships suffered some sort of abuse whether its physical, mental, and emotional.

Now as for marriage, the bible didn't say that you MUST MARRY, the bible states that it is better to be married than burned.  In Matthews, a verse even states women should remain virgins.  Again, when a book is written with 15 different point of views your brain is looking at a big bowl of paper salad.  (confusion)
Mrs Chima, the no non-sense bride. I so much agree that people have to draw the line. Religious people were not born to suffer or harm themselves. if that the case, unbelievers are better off then cos they live for what they believe and not out of exploitation of men that twist the holy book. All the answers are in the religious book, no one should make people feel or act otherwise. Those holy books are all the manual & guide you need to excel.

RomanceRe: Unhappy Relationships: Why Stay In It? by Cuddlemii: 3:08pm On Sep 18, 2011
Hmmmm.  Very good question.

Well from my point of view, people stay in unhappy relationship because they choose too. There are more than a million reason why people stay in an unhappy relationship and can't be listed here. But the very obvious ones are

1) Love- As crazy as it sounds but this four letter words can make someone kill for /because of it. So many silly things people do for it but I won't want to dwell too much on that.

2) Sex- I didn't even know sex was such a weapon until I witnessed a babe kneeling down for her bobo in school, I was told the guy makes her scream, leaves her satisfied or whatever. I think when people find compatibility with people sexually, it affects their reasoning especially ladies. Some ladies find it hard to let go because of the shame of having exposed their unclothedness to a guy or fear of having several men climb them & they don't want to look like a slut or get gossiped about.

3) Pass time (While-Away-Time): Very explicit, rather than stay single keep the partner till a better offer comes along then you step. Why let go when there is no guaranty that you would get a better person. Mostly done by people who took them years to hook someone or fear of ending up alone. They can also be silent or smooth operators who are just doing one leg in, one leg out. In short they are just playing safe.

4) Low self esteem/insecurity: This is very rampant with overweight guys or girls. It’s also rampant with people who are ashamed of how they look or feel their lovers are doing them a favour. Or they have constantly been told they are worthless or ugly. Instead of them to hit the gym or use Vitamin E and baby range products to look presentable, they stick to a partner that constantly reminds them how awful they are. Some people just have complex and feel left out when they are single. Just to escape the ridicule & criticism that comes with being single.

5) Drama queens/kings: Some people just like sloppy or crisscross, gangster relationship where the guy would squeeze their babe's neck or slap them around and call them NaughtyWoman. On the outside you would think she is being abused but she is enjoying it. It turns her on. So sometimes it’s best not to intervene in unhappy relationships. The guy can just say 'hey NaughtyWoman, get me that food and after that get on your toes so I can work your sorry pathetic arse'. To people it’s an unhappy relationship; to them they are in love.

6) Power of beauty: Some people can donate their last pint of blood to date a fine girl or boy. In fact I know girls who don't mind any treatment as far as the guy is extraordinarily fine so as to show him off amongst their peers. Some would even tell you they want fine babies so they can take the poo been fed to them. That's why you see some babes ordering or bossing guys around because they know the guys are with them for their looks.

7) Religious Fanaticism: The world has re-written & remixed the bible or Quran. I am still searching for the bible verse that says you must marry or be in a relationship. I thought the bone of contention was salvation & righteousness. A lot of people stay in unhappy relationship & marriage because they are obeying God or they don't want their pastor or Alfa to use them as examples for fornication. So they apply the slap me, I give you the other cheek to slap & even serve you cocktails for a job well done. So much hypocritical lifestyles like pastors can allow their own children go through hell.

cool  Power of deceit & lies.

9) Money being the root of all evil is the major cause. Observe most rich babes and wives; tell them to take their sun glasses off. All that glitter is not gold. Most people go into relationship & marriage for the wrong reasons as such they reap what they sowed. As simple as ABC, we all understand what I am talking about.

10) Value: People don't value their life, health, wealth & future. If they do, then there would be low level for casualties, high BP, hypertension etc.

11) Destiny: some were born lucky, some were not. All fingers are not equal so not everyone would get the best out of life. It is head they brought to the world. Some people's destinies were already used by their parents and all for wealth etc. Some it was just written that way but in other aspects, they excel. To some, it’s part of the experience. Such is life, what will be, will be. (Aiski olu ka lu ku ototo, kadara olukaluku ototo, agbelubu, sababi)

BusinessRe: 'RUNS' Business In Nigeria: A Multi-billion Naira Industry? by Cuddlemii:
Its not a new phenomenon in the world so I am not taken aback or astonished. It has been in inception since civilization, most of these women have graduated to being housewives with kids now and nothing happened to them. The question we must ask ourselves is the cause of all these. Its the human nature & wants/desires. Human beings are greedy & are never content. Runs is not only for ladies, men do it. I heard some guys sleep with top shots for money and they meet early in the morning on Saturday some where in Ikeja. These men have female lovers, wives, partners etc yet they want to feel those crispy notes in their hands. Even in western countries, we have ladies who render services to the Forbes 100 billionaires, athletes, musicians etc. All those groupies, escort services etc. Just that the western way is far more expensive due to the currency value. I also heard of a Nigerian governor in the south that flies in Brazilian babes at will. It happens everywhere. Most entertainers too do it, you think they live solely on their acting fees alone? They have a certain standard they have set for themselves & they need to maintain it even if they have to bed a cripple or a man with sores they have to lick.

The likes of Chikwuelu, Ita Giwa, Nike Oshinowo etc all did it at some point to get to where they are. Just that runs pass runs so obviously their own level is top on the hierarchy. These women have also retired now but recruit babes as in pimping to those top politician. They now use young bloods to rejuvenate their system. This has been in existence even during the military era, where babes are taken to married officers. Some of these babes were probably beaten or killed when they could not stand the aggression. I also heard a lot of ladies get killed on the ship by those captain and are thrown into the ocean, lagoon or whatever. Some babes in those high profile hostels around unilag get their pictures submitted to pimps for the highest bidder to choose. Some Osu or Lasu babes do some diabolic stuff called sin gbere (A yoruba term for an incision or injection done by an herbalist in a lady's private part so as to drain the pocket of these men). There is also Ikeke-idi (waist beads with special powers, those babes that wear them exposing it for people admire their flat tummy, beads & exposed g-strings especially on bikes). So its not a new thing. Pastors are even in it as well, those ones wear sunglasses ahead of time to the hotel to await their conquest. The writer referred to cheap money. I don't think 20k would get runs babes sleeping around when a 16 years old babe handles more than that for mere weaves. These runs babes are getting way more than that. Some are even from rich homes but just want adventure and extra funds. I guess money is never enough for some ladies. Some ladies are so over protected at home & thrown into those private university so they don't know left from right, they just go with the flow.

Most women are also lazy, always looking for shortcuts and not willing to work hard for their money. To an extent, the economy is not fair as money is not in circulation but siphoned and fetched to one fraction of the society leaving the others longing for it or desperate to partake. Though its not enough reason to be silly but how do these ladies know what is right or wrong in Nigeria when all we hear are preaching of why to stay a virgin or abstain from sex, how far has that lecture gotten us. Only gets youths curious & rebellious. Independence & empowerment should be taught to youths more often so people know their values and how to turn those values to reality.

Parents also need to take it easy on the whip & concentrate on a relationship with their kids. Nigerians have instilled the rod system on parents that they don't even relate with their children except when they misbehave. Some parents even curse their children that Oniranu, Ko ni da fun e, Oni se orire, olori bu, Eni ti wan sasi (Abusive Yoruba words for Useless child, It won't be better for you, Cursed child etc) You never know the angels passing. Parents should learn to pray for their children even while in the womb and prophesy to the child. Even while growing up, they should bless the kids and pray for them. Some children have been born to believe they are worthless by their parents. Parents also need to struggle to get a career for themselves even if its selling pepper, some parent's leave all the burden to these Runs babes. Why didn't the parents invest, some parents are so flamboyant that they blow up all their money and expect their daughters to slam 50 men and bring the cash home. Some mothers even taught their daughters how to fend or provide for the family because they were lazy in their time too & only know that way of life. Women should get industrious, even if you are not a millionaire, at least die with integrity so that your daughters can emulate you as their role model.
