franashi: my baby had it too when she was 3 weeks old .I use sheabutter and skineal like the nurse tld me at the hospital, mix them equal part and apply.one week later the alefo clear. for the mean time did not bath her with hard sponge or try to burst it because when the water touch another spot t will appear there like chickenpox. then later use dusting powder. Thanks. I have been applying shea butter though,i cant get skineal around where i am but i hope to tell his paediatrician on his next appointment. I ll keep applying the shea butter until then and i bathe him with a wash cloth not hard sponge. |

DeeandGLady: Hello my people am back with another question, My Doc has given me a date for appointment via email, Is that email sufficient to be presented at POE if asked for an appointment letter or Do I need a proper letter to use at POE. My Dr. says if I require a letter to obtain entry to the US, I will be charged a fee but If I meet the appointment, the fee will be part of my total OB fee, if I don't it will be none refundable. I intend to use the Doctor, Do I request for the letter and pay fee or I use the email that already states my appointment date. Please I need answers. Thanks again. Use the email since it states your appointment date and the amount required of u by the Dr. I used such at my POE and i was fine. |

What baggage allowance was baby given? Thank u I called BA today to ask them to add an infant ticket to my ticket and i was told i can only do the booking through wakanow because i bought my ticket through wakanow.com. I called wakanow and they gave me a quote of 99k for the baby ticket and that the payment has to be made in Nig before my departure date. I find the ticket amount too pricey, so m asking if dre's anyone that has been in this kinda situation before and ended up getting a ticket to buy for the infant at the airport on the departure date. Thanks |

myst: Hello all, pls who could give me info about the document needed to procure my baby's passport if the dad won't be in the US. I think phema mentioned something about ikeja court dt I read sometime ago but I can't seem to find d page again. Thanks in anticipation. Its called the consent form which you can print out from the US embassy website and then either notorise it b4 u travel to US leaving the baby name and the dates blank or let ur husband notorise it after u ve given birth and have it sent by courier to u in the US. It can be notarised at either the US embassy or by a legal practitioner that has a notary seal. You will need a valid ID card for the notorization. Note that u can only notorise at the embassy after the birth of ur child unlike other legal practitioners that can notorise for u before u travel and it is also important for you to confirm if the state u r birthing at accepts consent forms notarised in places other than the embassy hope this helps |

FinanceFitness: Yes, was allowed. I didn't check mine in, so at each stop they collected them at the airplane door and returned it to the door at landing. I had 2 stops.
Yes, checked in a full 23kg bag for free as baby bag.
Also, if you suspect your bag may be heavier than their limit, better to take an extra bag. At the time, the first extra bag cost about $100 or so, but excess in a bag was $200 or so. Thanks for replying. So all i need to do at check in is to check in our 3 23kg bags and then proceed into the plane with the hand luggage, car seat and the stroller? And then the stroller and car seat would be collected at the entrance of the plane? Is that what you mean? |

Hey everyone, i had my baby on the 10th of Feb,he's the cutest ever and i cant take my eyes off him. God is so good to me so pls join me in praising him![/quote]Yh,been busy trying to adapt to the new found job. Birth story here. I am a ftm n gave birth on Tue at 38weeks 3days. At my 36weeks Dr's appointment,my Dr did an internal exam for me and said i was 2cm dilated and 60-70% effaced, he was also able to feel my baby's head and told me my baby had lots of hair on his head, lol(that got me blushing) I was happy about this cos my last scan at 32 weeks says my baby was breech n i came here to ask questions about that then. I had diarrhoea all through Sunday and on Monday i felt better, i normally go for a walk everyday and on Monday i walked to and fro a grocery store at about 2pm. I ate and was just watching a prog on TV when i felt little water trickle out of me. I went to the toilet to chk n saw that my underwear was a little wet,i cleaned up n went back to the watching TV. This trickling continued but it was always like a teaspoon at a time so i didnt think of it as my water breaking. I had dinner and about 8pm,i had a pop sound n felt lots of water come down so i ran to the rest room, i knew at that point that my water had broken, i checked the colour and it had some green colour,i became scared immediately cos of the many stuffs i have heard about baby pooping inside mother n all. At that time i wasnt having any form of contractions so i was torn between waiting till contractions start so i wont be sent back home or to go to the hosp cos of the green colour. My hospital was like an hour drive from the house so u can imagine my dilemma. I rang the hospital to tell them i think my water just broke n they insisted i should come in immediately. I went to take a shower and then the contractions started,i packed my hospital bag and got to the hospital at 10:30pm,by the time i got to the hospital, the contractions ve become much. I went to the emergency section and was made to reg and sign some forms, this went on till like 11pm when i was admitted, right dre at the registration area, i requested for a sick bowl and threw up twice. A nurse checked and said i was 4cm dilated but she didnt feel baby's head, that what she touched feels like his tongue or something, she called on another nurse to verify and she said i was already 6cm dilated and that what she touched was definitely the baby's bottom, that was about 11:30pm,they immediately called my Dr and he said i needed to ve a CS for the good of baby and I. I reminded him that he told me that he touched my baby's head at my last appointment and he just smiled and said that my baby just decided to go back breech and we cant question God.I asked him if we can give baby some time and see if he ll turn head down before i reached 10cm but he said he cant take any chances with the rate at which i was progressing. The whole process was explained to me and i was made to sign more papers then immediately wheeled to the theatre. The surgery lasted for like 15-20mins with me being awake all through but didnt feel anything. My baby was brought out at 12:20am,Tue 10th Feb,2015. I am most grateful to God as i port into this next phase. Na real vigilante o, baby is awake all through the night and he has only two duties, that is, sleeping and eating. May God make it easy for everyone of us o. |

cutiereborn: Good afternoon Mamas in the pushing ministry, please for people like us who on a normal day don't take enough water not to talk of now that water tastes like medicine in my mouth and I have never been a fan of water melon, please is CUCUMBER safe to take? That seems like the only water fruit that I enjoy taking. Also is there a way to increase my water intake? Since my doctor mentioned it again on my last visit yesterday. For now, I manage to take atleast a glass of chilled water in a day, warm water or roomtemp is a complete nono. For me,i think u should just eat n drink what u r comfortable with. If u cant go more than 1 cup per day, drink it n take fruits that contain water too. When i was in my first trimester,i couldnt tolerate water too, in sharp contrast to my third trimester wre i can take 10 cups of water in 1hr. I ll advice that u take each day as it comes cos it actually keeps getting better! |

FrankC3: The real enemies of democracy are those who want up to 30million eligible Nigerians to be disenfranchaized just because they feel that they are better poised to win the elections. Democracy is built around some principles and one of them is popular participation. No democrat supports the disenfranchisement of a section of the eligible voters, even when those voters could vote against them. You people should be ashamed of the poverty of principles that characterize your party campaign. Now, tell me, who is desperate? If the security situation of Nigeria has remained the same or even worsened since we ve been planning this election, how would anybody think that postponing it by just a few weeks will change anything? Even the excuse about some eligible Nigerians not gotten their PVCs yet is lame. What is the probability that even 50% of these ppl will get the PVCs at the end of the postponement? I weep for the degree of dumbness in our dear country |

Phema: They want to know two things: 1. Did you declare your birthing intentions during your previous interview (assuming you were pregnant then)? If you weren't pregnant, then this shouldn't be a problem.
2. Did you pay ALL your bills without recourse to any public fund?
If these are in the affirmative, then you are good to go. Don't forget to go with your receipts and Zero balance document.
Goodluck. Hi Phema, pls how did go about buying ur baby's ticket on ur return leg on BA? Was it bought at the airport and how much did u pay? Were u able to use the bassinet or u carried him on ur laps? |

Please which one is appropriate for someone going to give birth over there? Also there is a place that asks this question: Has anyone ever filed an immigrant petition on your behalf with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services?. A cousin of mine about 3 years entered my name for the US visa lottery program. Although I didn't win, does this qualify for me to answer a yes for the question? Please help me out.
