So many people were denied, there were more denials but I just thank God. Some people actually crammed their transcript and it worked against them. Try not to sound like you crammed anything, just let it come naturally.

Please my wife interview F2 visa interview is coming up this month but we have issue with her name

The name on her passport is her maiden name and that was what was used to prepare her I-20. But she has done change of name and she filled her new name on ds-160. Please I hope this will not cause any problem.

I mailed the international office to change her name to her new name but they said the policy is that they should use only verified names and names are verified through passport.

Please what do you think we should do

DS 160 form is supposed to be filled using the name on the passport so she should sharply go and fill a new DS 160 form

Sevis fee is supposed to be paid not later than three days before the appointment date. They may not be able to confirm it at the embassy

Click on that drop down where you have interview appointment, request emergency appointment is part of the options there

When one wants to reschedule, do I cancel current appointment or just click reschedule appointment? And how true is it that one can only get later date when rescheduling?

I think you have to cancel one before you can be able to reschedule.
Not true, you can get a nearer date however be sure there is a nearer date available before you cancel your present appointment

It has to be paid by somebody in the USA. If you don’t have relatives that can help, contact Fairheart or Walspring here on NL. They help people do the payment. It’s $350 and must be paid latest by 3 days before your appointment date. You can book appointment without it though and then pay before you go for the appointment

I'm trying to schedule an appointment and what I can see is "There are currently no appointments available ". Please can someone assist me on what to do so I can see dates or the reason for the message.

This happened to me and I just went ahead to use another email address to open a new profile and I was able to See and book my appointment date. After registering, you will be asked to upload the data page of your passport so that they can merge your previous profile with the new one. I uploaded and they replied me the next working day, so I just went ahead to book a date.

Of course you can move your appointment from 7th June but no one can guarantee that you will get an available date in June.

I made payment and booked appointment last year before the pandemic for a b1 visa and now I'm planning on changing to f1 visa. The visa fee is higher now but my receipt is still valid. How do I pay the balance left.

A new Ds-160 has been filled already to change to f1 Visa class

Also will there be any issues changing from one visa class to another.

If they released Wednesday dates then I suppose they are now ready to work on Wednesdays. All Wednesday’s in June were opened by them so I guess you are safe to choose it.

There are hotels around but it depends on your preference.

*Demlis hotel can be found inside the Federal Civil service club and it's along Awolowo road. Just a few minutes walk(1km or less) from the embassy or you find a means to get there.
Price range: 6-10k

*Bayland guest house is another hotel located at 54 Forsythe Street and less than 8 mins to us embassy.
Price range: 5-8k

Westwood Hotel Ikoyi located at Awolowo road too.
Price range: Unknown

Atlantic Hotel: Location is very close to USE
Less than 8 mins

It looks like you are filling the part where it’s asking if you made concrete plans and you answered yes, that’s the only place you could be asked for date of arrival and date of departure. If this is correct, you do not have to answer yes to that part.

Also about the employment, hope you would be able to defend yourself if you are asked for the proof of the business you want to claim?

Yes, you can. Just make sure you update the correct application ID on your profile latest by 3 days before your interview appointment date.

I have gotten I-20 from 2 schools but yet to get from the very school I will like to attend. Can I use one of the I-20s I have with me to book appointment So as to get an early date while I wait for the the school I want to attend to send theirs? Would I be able to change it after I have booked appointment?

Hello all, so I chose B category(B1/B2) while making payment for my visa fee. Will I be able to use it for my interview seeing that it’s B1/B2 that’s on my receipt?

You must have some money in your BSC where they will deduct their transfer charges from or you won’t be able to do your transfer. Just convert like 2$ to bsc and then transfer the remaining 25$. It should go through
