like Nefertitiram said in earlier post, stories like these make me keeping thanking God for my host and praying for her, she was my bestie in sec sch (now sister) I stayed with her for 4months in a one bedroom apartment, she left her bed for me all thru my stay and slept on the couch, she made me schedule all my docs appointments for 10/10:30am and drove me thru and fro b4 she left for work, whenever we went grocery shopping I insisted on paying half at least so as not to be living off her, though she refused sometimes, she cooked and stored food for me in her refrigerator, whenever she wasn't available, she got some1 to drive me shopping, though I did 90% of my shopping online( I did that in order not to stress her) she called me on her lunch break everyday she was at work just to be sure I was fine, we prayed together sometimes, when my hubby came she left her car for him for easy movement, I can go on and on,and to think she is still single and wasn't even jealous, when I was leaving, I was in tears cos she was just so good to me, I just kept praying for her, since I left in June, we talk almost everyday, staying with her made us closer, I just bless God for her,

Just like you, i also had a great time with my hosts. This is a family that consists of a grandma,son and grandchildren. I had never met them until i went to US to give birth. I was introduced to them by my brother's friend who happens to be the grandma's daughter. They made me feel home away from home. The hospital and the Dr i used were in another city that was like 1 hr drive from dre house. I was driven to n fro my Dr's appointment all through my 3 months stay with them. They never gave me attitude, whn i arrived their home, the uncle bought winter clothings for me and made me write a list of things i crave whenever they were going grocery shopping. When i had my baby, they organised a mini christening party for me(they r muslims while i am a xtian) and invited their friends that gave me loads of gifts and cash. I gave birth during the US tax refund thing and cos the uncle always change his children's wardrobe at this time, he also bought loads of clothes worth almost 1k dollars for my baby. He bought his carseat and even bought me too clothes. When i was coming back, i gave the grandma money but she rejected it and said she feels like i am paying her for hosting me. This is a woman that ll stay awake all night and cater for my baby while i sleep,she only wakes me when he needs to breastfeed. I lost my father while i was in the US and that whole family were there for me like they knew me from Adams. They needed to send some stuffs to naija which i was prepared to help them bring and pay for extra luggage but they followed me to the airport and didnt allow me pay, the uncle made the payment himself. I cant finishing saying all what i enjoyed. I just pray to God to help me to be able to repay this kindness to them. We have since become family friends and they keep telling me to bring my baby next year n spend time with them. I and my family speak with them regularly now. Sorry if i bore u with this heart pouring!

Yh you still have to count the 28days even if dere is 100million naira in the account. Thats the UKVI rule

If the money has been there 28days or more.. you can print the statement starting from 28 days before the day you apply. Its better if its more than. As long as the start date of the statement is at least 28 days before the end date/date of application online then you are fine.
E.g you apply today 21st sept. Your bank statement should be dated from 24th aug-21st sept. It can even start way before 24th aug, the earlier the better. Some ppl use 6, 3 or 2 months bank statement.

Hello house,I ve a friend that is a single mother of 2 and she works with the Fed govt and earns 70k monthly. Her inlaws however give her up to 120k monthly for her n her children's upkeep and they also pay her children's school fees. She would like to apply for a visit visa. She spends like 50k on living expenses and therefore saves up o 120k monthly. She has a bal of 1.1m in her account now and would be staying in a hotel when she travels.
1. Do u think she stands a chance?
2. How does she explain the monies her inlaws pay into her account monthly?

Phew!!!! Because I know it's not easy to host someone for 3 months regardless of what the host's intentions are. Feed the person, take them to doctor's appointment, etc especially in a foreign land.


With regards to my sister in law she has had two filing seasons since I gave birth and she hasn't used it. Will keep checking whenever I remember. My point is not everyone has bad intentions or is a fraud

My story is just like urs, i got my visa when i was barely a month pregnant and it was gotten to attend a prog in US. I wasnt asked if i was pregnant during my interview and i didnt tell the VO i was pregnant. I had very terrible morning sickness at the time of the prog so i couldnt travel. I decided to use the vusa for child birth and i sent a change of intent letter to the embassy,got the custom reply and travelled with it. My POE was dallas and it was bliss, so i dont think u ve any problems. Try send a letter to the embassy n explain why u couldnt go for the graduation. Also,choose a POE like Dallas or JFK.

The orange juice will not suffice. He needs to drink water by all means. Try sipping cups, bottles, spoons or directly from a cup. My son prefers to drink water from the cup like an adult. Some babies prefer spoon . He just has to drink a lot of water once he starts solids.

Sis pls stop d banana asap. I was introduced to a diet when my baby was stooling (BRAT) its banana,rice,apple sauce and toast(bread). Its meant to firm up d poop which it did. If a baby is constipated those 4 food will only aggravate d situation.
Give him more water (but don't go overboard with the water pls) and breastmilk, he'll poop, prune juice is great too.

dnt dilute the orange juice. squeeze half of it and give him first thing in d mornings. u can puy small warm water to make it a bit warm. it works. my boy was constipated yesterday, I squeeze the juice of a whole orange nd he took it. he pooped immediately and he was fine. meanwhile I gv my boy orange everyday. whn he is constipated, I gv first thing in d morning. and he takes warm water in d morning. its a routine. he wont take anythingbuntil he takes his water. he is six months plus. so pls encourage him to take water.

Hello mamas,my six month old plus that i just introduced solids to passes hard stool and he may even go like 3-4days b4 straining and passing the stool. I make sure i give him fresh orange juice mixed with water or mashed bananas every afternoon but he is still constipated. The foods i just introduced to him are pap,boiled egg,fish,mashed potatoes. I also give him water to drink though he doesnt like drinking water but i thought the orange should suffice. What else can i do to help him soften the stools? Thanks

Y should he sponsor u when u ve a job? U may not even spend up to 250k for ur travelling expenses but u need to demonstrate that u can conveniently afford it before the ECO else u ll be seen as a potential "runaway"

She's 5months pregnant already and wants to go have her baby in Texas.

She can explain to the VO that she was single as at the time of the filling the application form but she's now married and would like to have her baby in the US.
