ephizywizy:How long it will take before your case is processed (before they issue your visa) will depend on your wife's nationality. Family immigration (reunification) visa processing time for Nigerians is currently 10 months according to udi website. It was initially 4 - 6 months when I applied but was changed in October 2021. You can never get them to grant it to you on time. They will issue it when they are ready to issue it. Although you can ask for your case to be prioritized but you must have VERY STRONG reasons why they should move your case above those that applied before you. I deliberately emphasized very strong reasons. If you have children, you must all submit your DNA samples. If not, you may still be required to submit your sample. The test is conducted to verify if there is actually a relationship between you all (husband/wife or father/mother/child). This applies to you if you are citizens of African countries, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and some countries who have poor birth certificate records. I believe your wife would have sent her living expenses 126,000 nok. You as the spouse will then have to document (show that you have 161,000 nok) in your bank account. You are only exempted from the income requirement if you and your wife are EU citizens. |
@Arinze001, see you in Norge. |
Its the same thing they did in Lagos @ Ogudu-Alapere expressway corridor. They are just useless!! |
WUdec:He said in the history of Ekiti State. It may be the largest but of course very small in quantity. I think the headline was jusy put out to generate traffic. |
FarahAideed:Something that is not up to 6 satchets of N20 cowbell milk. |
Arinze001:Congrats dude! Haven't received anything. If I don't, its Unilag's fault. Arinze001:That was before their strike. At first, they couldn't find my file. Then to give me Statement of result na wahala. |
Arinze001:Unilag fast? I laugh!!! If I don't get notified that I have been admitted, it will be because of them. I applied for transcript in November, it didn't get to Norway until February. Thats fast right? |
Dumebi213:No I was not or I should say I have not been notified I was admitted but my wife was admitted. |
licia3:I believe the bank statement should be in the applicants name and the bank should be domiciled in the country he/she is a resident of. So if he resides in Nigeria, the statement of account should be of a Nigerian bank. |
Efair12:Just send a direct mail to me. I do not know how sending mails through nairaland works. |
@ Efair12 Its in my profile. Pls indicate when you send an email. |
@ Efair12 Congratulations! Now to answer Uis does not have to document for your family. Infact they don't! All you have to do is as you are applying to udi for yourself, your family too sends in their application which involves your husband documenting through his bank statement a sum of Nok 150,129 (273,648 nok - your already sent 123,519 nok). By doing this, when udi processes your application, they process your family's at the same time. If you're going to be given a visa, they would give your family too the same time. Initially, I thought I was going to go first then my family joins me later if I was the one admitted but I realized you can all go at the same time. Its the same requirement. So why do you have to wait for nothing less than six months when you can as well go at the same time. Have you applied for housing? |
@ Arinze001 She was offered the course i chose for her as the first choice which is Service Leadership in International Business. By God's grace, you will be granted admission. |
My wife has been granted admission to Uis. Even though Uia and Uit has not gotten back to me with regards to my own application, we will just immediately do a family reunification (which includes myself and the kids) when she is applying for her own study permit. Therefore, I don't mind if the schools I applied to don't offer me admission. |
You guys should at least read and digest the news piece before commenting. I knew I was going to see a sensational headline like this. The media is part of the problem in the world today. Posting a different headline different from the body of the report itself. Knowing gullible people will not read the news itself. Its not true the Reps refused to adopt the 2014 report. The rep who advised they stepped down the motion for the house to call for the report because it was PROCEDURRALY WRONG for the house as a whole to call for the report when there was already a commitee (Constitution review Committee) saddled with the task of getting the report and had already been working on the report as well as getting input from many quarters. It was a simple matter of wrong procedure. The intention of the Reps is not to step down the report. |
simplePOS:FRSC which is in charge of safety on Nigerian roads gave you data, you are still asking for source?? Is it CNN, NAFDAC, Punch Newspaper or Red Cross you expect this sort of data from?? |
skyblueking:Are you a crook?? Thats on a lighter note but why would you register sim A with one name then sim B with a slightly different name from the first sim.? |
nextBIGthing:I am sure you are not up to 30 years of age & if you are, you are not up to 35 years. So therefore, the chances you are suffering from diabetes, high BP, serious diseases or any middle or old age related ailment is low. Hence your body was able to fight off the covid symptoms without any medication as a result of your balanced immune system normal for your age. For people that are suffering from the ailments listed above and several other illnesses. If covid manages to infiltrate their bodies, their immune system which is not as strong as yours might not be able to protect their bodies thereby causing death. Covid in it self is not deadly but when someone with an underlying medical condition contracts it, he/she might not survive it as a result of a weak immune system. Just because you survived it, majority of Nigerians (Nigeria has a huge young population) survive it doesn't mean it's not deadly. I believe you now have an understanding why you survived it and some might not. |
bash8936:You obviously do not know what you are saying. He is not do one jare. |
Coronavirus84:He gave you a job but na you still kill the man. Na wah o!!! |
"He who lives by the sword, Dies by the sword." Thats the inscription on the shirt of the one wearing red. I guess he is living out what is written on the t-shirt. |
Bluffly:I wonder o.. Maybe they are under American Police not Nigerian Police. |
laiperi:You sha wan hype us sha!! Who tell you say African men are not crazy?? The issue is not the skin colour but the presence of guns. Give a man a gun, annoy him a little and watch if he wont use the gun or not. Do you know how many black men have killed their partners over a little issue and are serving life or waiting for their execution likewise white men?? Forget skin colour, the motive is what usually determines the sentence. |
@ Arinze01 See as i dey look you with side eye.. Do not be deceived!! Thats not the final statistics for 2020. How can just 8 people apply out of the usual number of thousands?? The data will be coming out little by little as the schools just reopened. Also dont forget that this year is a peculiar year as a result of the corona virus. Many students may not be able to make it down to Norway until beginning of second semester. Some schools have announced first semester will be taken online. Therefore the data on those that met for studies will definitely be impacted. Year 2020 final statistics should be updated in November. In the mean time, work with the years preceeding 2020. |
@ Dumebi213, Arinze01 and fellow prospective applicants. Check the statistics for higher education in Norway including the number of applicants for your interested courses, number of people offered admission and other statistics at https://dbh.nsd.uib.no/ (use on chrome browser so it can be translated to english) Hope this valuable information helps you have an idea of the acceptance rate of your interested courses. Do not let the number of applicants and acceptance rate dampen your spirit. Also, do not forget that not everyone granted admission eventually accepts the admission therefore you definitely stand a chance in your choice course. As Arinze01 earlier said, no one here has a say or can predict application outcome. Just apply to all schools that matches your bsc requirements and hope for the best. You should be amongst the lucky ones granted admission. All the best guys... |
trinityconcept:According to the statistics, For Public Health @ NTNU in 2018 - 491 people applied, 105 was offered admission, 75 accepted while only 60 met for the start of studies. In 2019 - 438 people applied, 35 was offered admission, 25 accepted while only 20 met for the start of studies. @ Dumebi213 and Arinze01, Norway too has where you can check. The data is public knowledge. |
@ Dumebi213 I was going to let him know that. He should not get too excited about selecting a "yeye course." @ trinityconcept, what do you originally plan on studying and not your "yeye course" backup program?? Let me help you find out how many other applicants you may likely be competing against. |
@ amaka157 A friend of mine moved from Oslo to the U.K then finally to Canada after his Msc. I think the exposure they get in Norge coupled with the education opens more doors for someone. I think people leave Norge to Canada because of the great economy, how immigration friendly they and also no language barrier. |
trinityconcept:Most schools request for a 2.1 and above because of the competitiveness of getting admission in some of their programmes. But dont be scared. Even with a 1.0 gp (i am obviously joking) you can gain admission to some programmes e.g Bsc/Mc English, Bsc/Msc Primary School Teacher and some other courses that do not get too many applicants. While with 3.08, you definitely will not get into Psychology, Aviation, some serious engineering courses and other most sought after courses. Ultimately, you gaining admission depends on the number of applicants also seeking for a place in that same programme/school. With your 3.08 you may not stand a chance and also with your 3.08, you should be admitted to a programme. It all depends on the number you are competing with for a place. |
Adex2442:If you want to apply for Bsc with HND, I believe you will start from Year 1. I dont think it's like Nigeria whereby you can gain admission to Bsc thru Direct Entry with your HND. Secondly, I also believe they do not accept PGD for masters. I have read through their education system from A -Z and there is no where I saw Bsc top-up programme (PGD) being mentioned. All I have said above is mere speculation. Mail the admission officers of the programmes you are interested in so they can clear all your doubt. |
Adex2442:All public schools (state colleges and universities) are tuition free though you pay a small token for department stuffs while private universities charge tuition. You cannot use hnd to appy for Masters. Its only acceptable if you want to apply for a bachelor programme. |
CertifiedGee:The stuff gave me headache.I am serious! |
