Donnyperry:He said it isn't a loan but an investment. Donnyperry:How do you know he invested on trivialities? Investments can go wrong you know. Even the ones you may have done thorough due diligence on. |
Nice price but would have preferred a 2006 model upward. Well, all the best. |
Keneking:Those guys useless!!!! |
joransky4re:Of course! You can give a new quotation. I can tell you it wasn't a detailed business plan we submitted during the initial application. That was just a summary of It. That is why they now expect us to submit a detailed business plan at the end of the training. |
holysainbj:I can't call your post a dull one. My question for you is - a criminal is apprehended and is now in the custody of the police, the police paraded her and photographs her which is the usual but crude way of our police). So what should the father had done.... Break the photographers camera or stop journalist from reporting the news and pasting the pics on the internet which her father has no control over (of which nobody in this world has control over the anything posted online)? |
Jethrolite:I think you may be expected to pay for the house rent. But I'll help you find out on saturday. |
Keneking:Adeyemi Kayode - a native of Ojoo in Ibadan, Oyo state Ayodele Kayode - a native of Ibadan, in Oyo state Dem use bra or pant cover your eyes?? |
@ Jethrolite, They can but it will depend on the type of business. |
The Lagos Zonal Officer paid us a visit and this is the summary of what he said: - Provision has been made for everyone wanting to access the loan. He went further by saying the money won't finish before it gets to your turn. However, he said he was sure that many at the end of the day won't be able to access the loan. Well you will say his second sentence contradicts the first but he explained why he said so. He explained why it appears BOI has stringent loan requirements. Why that is so is because we have our KYC (Know Your customer) program isn't that detailed as we don't yet have a good database system therefore if lenders abscond with the money, that is the end. He also explained why he said many may not meet the requirement. The reasons he gave are: 1.) You must have contributed something to your business (for startups) and for existing businesses, you must have equity. Equity too applies to startups. No equity, no loan! 2.) You must have nothing less than two guarantors. One is not enough, two is okay while three is allowed. 3.) BOI do not hand cash directly to lenders but the vendors you will be patronising. And they will only make payments after the vendor must have delivered the product and not before. 4.) They won't finance anything that will have to be imported into the country. That's all I can remember for now. According to the official, we should have it at the back of our minds the money is not our share of the national cake that is why its a loan. He only introduced himself today and didn't delve deep into the loan process. He says he will be back to explain the loan process to us in details on saturday. |
Jethrolite:you wey be say light no dey your area. Your AC no get use. Just had their lunch. The food is okay but no be buffet. Its something you eat regularly the only difference is the environment and wares. |
Jethrolite:Lmao Jethro, you won't kill me. Maybe the chilled environment can be counted as one of the frills. |
EHMIR:You don't seem to understand party settings. An average Nigerian wants his/her friends on the same table as them not minding the space it was originally meant to contain. I was at a party on saturday and the guys on the table by my side rearranged the seating arrangement by stuffing additional chairs here and there so as to accommodate their friends. My point is that its a normal thing we do in Nigeria. |
propzncribz:Can I get a self-contained at V.I (somewhere close to the Law School)? My cousin who will be attending Law school needs it. |
akins56:You can pour curses on both of them, that is not my business. But to blame them on the current crisis of Lautech that was started by Oyinlola and Alao-Akala shows you're ignorant on many issues. |
wildchild1:Did you apply and your request wasn't granted?? Many people didn't apply and they are asking to whom were the loans granted... |
I dey tell una say when Buhari finish with this country, people go dey sleep embassy to collect Nigerian visa. Small time now we go dey price 2 bag of rice #1500. Hiploko:Even though I'm optimistic about Nigeria's future but this guy optimism shock me badly I gast to laugh. |

Sharon6:You seem to have forgotten that you can no longer pay for anything denominated in foreign currency with your naira mastercard. And you know those online stores list their products only in foreign currency. Although you can use your dollar debit card, how many Nigerians have domiciliary accounts? |
Its like many of you are ignorant of what is happening in Nigeria. The cars were not imported but made (assembled) in Nigeria. To inform you, Nissan too has a factory that assemble cars in Nigeria just like IVM. Peugeot also. |
I received my in-class training invite this afternoon. |
destinedtee:Although the noise comes on when you switch on your AC (its the compressor that kicks to life) but I don't think it has anything to do with the filling of your AC. Its the belt. Either the belt is a bit slack or a bit tight. When I changed my belt and that squealing noise started, all I did to quench the noise from my belt was to apply grease on the teeth of the belt all through. I did that for 3 straight weeks (once a week) and the noise totally disappeared. I don't know if that is proper but 18 months down the line and the belt is still working perfectly. |
bejeiodus:This is also a way of sensitizing them. I'm sure they will still go over the radio, tv and other conventional sensitizing methods in due course. |
kings09:In as much as your submission is valid, you have to understand the President cannot be at the burial of all fallen soldiers each and everytime they die. That is the job of the Chief of Army Staff as he's the boss of the soldiers and not the President. Let me explain to you, if our President(s) decides to be physical present at the burial of each soldier, the day he has other engagements (you know our President(s) are busy people) and cannot be there during the burial of the next soldier, that may be demoralising as its going to be said that the President deliberately missed the burial. Even when America fought in Iraq, former President Bush wasn't at (all) the burial of all their soldiers. The highest the President can do and should do is to visit the soldiers at the war front and he should do that without delay so as to encourage them. That action will be a real morale booster. |
wink2015:So in a time of mourning like this, the photographer should walk up to the man and tell him to compose and smile for the cameras? |
Moahmed:I refer you to this thread www.nairaland.com/3450531/where-muhammad-abu-ali-killed From the look of where he died, it appears they were shelled with some high level ammunition and not a sneak attack from what you said. Do you now see my point when I said, because he said he was sure (without going to verify) doesn't mean he was correct? |
Moahmed:He could be right yes I agree but my point is how about if he's not right? You and I don't know or don't have verifiable facts to prove he is right. |
SweetJoystick:Very possible!! I had a "no debit order" places on my corporate account some months ago as a result of an inconsistency in my personal accounts information. Assuming I went to the bank or tried to do an online transfer from my phone while the embargo was still placed on my account (which I did severally from my phone but was declined). My bank didn't raise an alarm because EFCC was not involved in my own case. So you see that its very possible. |
xykms101:You so sure without you leaving in front of your phone/computer?? Despite your submission being valid, because you're sure doesn't mean you're correct. |
akaahs:Lol But take for example, you live in a neighbourhood filled with thieves and bad elements. Your house has no gate and is at a risk of visitation by those criminal elements, and you have small money to buy food at home. Will you only buy food to keep at home forgetting that when you buy the food, those criminal elements will come to our house to rob you and therefore prevent you from enjoying your small food? Without security, you will soon be a goner. |
@ onatisi, I tire for our governments. From one government to the other, we are continually sinking. Why there is a wide disparity between FG exchange rate and black market is as a result of government's invisible hold of its own exchange rate. They claim to have floated but that's not totally correct. What we have is a semi float. |
mrvitalis:Let's say I'm looking at medium term and not short term. You and I know that long term can take like forever or never in Nigeria especially when another government gets into power. My point is let's take considerable steps (medium term steps) as we work towards the long term. Nigeria is not yet an ideal society where all things are equal/will be equal. |
