For those who knows the state CID umuagu will agree with me is that it is impossible to attack that station and go Scot free ,but after today I sincerely believe that this UGM are well organized, imagine burning a state CID with the best police personnel in abia state.nah wah o umuahia dey hot lik dis I be won run go imo state my mum state buh dat place nah battle ground. I blame the police on this,is now they need the people the most cos next station to raise down is police headquarters ibeku then umuahia will enter into chaos God pls protect us even our governor don run dey sleep for military barrack ohaofia , umuahia dey hot like dis,( reporting from umuahia )
My brother, I don't know that place but see, if you know how lackidasical the police and other security agents are, life go tire you.. I travelled from Lagos to benin by road and I observed, they were only out for money. Nothing more, the security architecture of this country has failed bro.. It has, and our political leaders feel they are safe because they've got escorts, sad.

Governor sleeping in Barracks, what has he done to empower the security agents, not Hilux, the lies they tell themselves within the security circles is alarming, they play down this incidents and tell themselves it's nothing.

By now bro, we should be seeing drills, special training of men, tactical teams on standby.. but we see police further brutalizing the police, mass arrest and killing the people, police get too many flaws abeg.

Kingpin1000:
Growing up in PH in the late 90s and early 2000s was tough.. the battle was between Secondary schools. Those days na Men dey go secondary school. In town( old PHC) it was between Stella Maris college AKA suffer man college (SMC) Vs the rest ( Enitonia high school, comprehensive and Baptist) the boys of those schools no get chill. I could remember during Abacha's regime transport, was increased from 5 naira to 20 naira( from mile 1 to town vice versa) that was the only time that all the secondary schools came together and worked as one body to reduce the transportation fare. That day both commercial and private vehicles had to put green leaves on their vehicles to show solidarity with students if not your car will be destroyed.. I guess this was one of the reasons that attracted cultism into secondary schools. There was a time that every family in PHC had a cult member, it was as bad as that. The major reason was intimidation and pair influence. Diobu was majorly conquered by Bobos while town was owned by Germans ( viking affiliates I.e JVC, Icelanders, Greenlanders). When you move from diobu to town you are considered an enemy whether you belong or not. You may be tagged a spy and if caught only God or Orientation can save you. Many young men had to join frats so as to belong to a family were they run to when being intimidated because Police will not help you. Your father may arrest the cultists but you will soon see them outside again. When they come for you this time they may maim you or if you are not lucky kill you and run away.
Many of us had no other option than belong. There were fights between streets and if you were hit and you do not belong to the street confranternity no one will retaliate. I thank God PHC is a better place today
The police has been useless since forever!

Element of surprise...?
That's what the are trained for. No criminal will come knocking before attacking. So they should expect the surprise.

With the current man power of our police, they can't successfully defend each station across the east. What I expect is from them to vacate every station and consolidate their man power in protecting the state HQ. Cos right now, the are spread so thin and can't effectively defend themselves. So instead of loosing more men in an already lost battle, they should consolidate and defend the HQ.
Thank you Sir, when last did a son of a nobody call on the police for an emergency and they responded? When last did you see the police respond to a robbery in your area on time to apprehend the criminals? when last did any bank robbery in Nigeria get foiled by the Police? When last did the police carried a detailed investigation for the son of a nobody to help him get justice?

What we see today is the rot that has eaten deep, a grown cancer for years! The political class only care about themselves and not the masses. We have had peace because Nigerians are peaceful people not because we have had security. In this time and day we can't have emergency numbers running and working well?

In the South-East by now with the rise insecurity, almost every state should have been an integrated framework of communication between security operatives, whereby each Police station can easily link up to the next in case of an emergencies and get back up racing down. I saw in Enugu, an attack on a station that happen around 1am by 8am, the corpse of police officers killed where still on the ground! Their own guys didn't turn up for their colleagues.

The Government has forever failed us, it's sad.. these men don't care for us or for the men on the front line, a clear example we just saw the father of the Nation failing to pay his respect at the burial of the Chief of army staff, how do you want the followers in terms of Governors to act now?

They have failed they have always failed it's just showing now I pray God helps us.

Very soon, men would ambush government convoys and the aided would disappear... Their lives don't matter, so needless to waste it for a bastar.d.

One of the things compounding safety issues for the police, is the way they handle relationship with the masses, the masses hate( I intentionally didn't use dislike) the police.
An average Nigerian has no problem watching the police been assaulted.
One of the ways to nip this this attacks that an intelligent person predict would soon spread to other regions I think stations were burnt in Lagos and Niger state, is for the police to immediately change their civilian-polce relationship. Be more active in their duty of protecting the masses, and prosecution of erring officers, they should stop acting like slave drivers.
These peace of advice(s) while good for the general masses, will help police personnel live longer .
We have more brains than the people in Power, I just can't solve these equation, 'aren't we suppose to have the best in these position'? Nigeria is blessed with brains, I can't help but blame Nepotism, corruption and politics.

Anybody that watch this without pitying Nigerian security system is wicked. Look how these people have been operating freely for hours, but after dem finish their operation or maybe by tomorrow, the military will come there to block road and start harassing innocent men, women and children.

What happened to response time? How can a group of gunmen be so free to operate in such environment, despite the high militarization of biafra territory, yet no single resistance from the Nigerian state. When I tell people that Nigeria has no security they jeer at me, but watching this clip (for those with brain) will reveal the poor state of Nigerian security.
No bi lie bro!

That shows you the level of support they get.....can BH get such support without forcing people?
Yes ma, in 2009 they got support when they started, they were only killing Christians and wealthy Southern's, they were cheered and hailed.

Just as we see here, Nigeria is bad, I hate it here but blood only begets more blood. Don't forget.

Owerri is trending on Twitter, the feeds from there breaks my heart, how did we get it so wrong in this country? The years of corruption, lack of adequate training, planning for the security of the populace has seen insecurity in alarming levels, taking over the country. One clip caught my attention tho, the policemen came, I saw policeman dismount from Hilux and jeeps, walking casually without cover. We should by now be applying tactics from the NE here, I have seen the tactics of these UGM and I tell you, they aren't hard to counter. At least in that state by now they should have procured nothing less than 4 APC for the police force, two drones and a tactical team of at least 50 CTU well trained men, they would Counter these attacks easily. I can't say much here from Google maps alone, we can counter, block and eliminate threats.

I saw a guy under the scorching sun at Festac, close to Mega Chicken round about, he had a banner in his hands as I hurriedly drove by, I looked at it and it read along the lines of ' We Mourn, we may never be able to repay them for their sacrifices, may all the souls of our faithful departed Heroes rest in peace.'

In my car, I saluted...I was almost moved to tears.

Some more bad news from a few days ago lads. We've lost one of our ATR-42 ISR/ELNIT aircraft to a runway accident two days ago. There were no fatalities thankfully. Apparently the plane's wing struck some vegetation when taxiing down the runway. From the extensive damage, the airframe is probably going to be written off.
Which Vegetation again nahuhhuh?

I have just finished watching the videos online on the killing in Umuahia, Abia state and the videos I saw left me with so much disappointment. We never learn, do we?? I saw the Nigerian army on the streets, why undecided? with their Cobra APC, Hilux vehicles and all what's not, doing what? Harrassment of civilians, people raising hands to pass, I saw policemen on the street with long timbers, iron bars and sticks chasing people into their houses terrorizing civilians, same civilians that would have been critical assets in fusing together pieces of the true situation leading to the death of the slain officer of Nigerian police force. Critical pieces of intelligence and information have been destroyed by their unnecessary, unintelligent and barbaric show of force, the people now see the police and the security agencies as terrorist rather than patriots, friends, colleagues, neighbours and of course; fellow Nigerians.

Do we have brains in Nigeria intelligence services? do we have brains in power? do we have brains amongst the security agencies at all? The answer is no!, no and a capital letter no.What would I have done differently? I think this approach is better.

My own perspective;

In an already tensed situation, the goal right now is to investigate, arrest and bring the culprits to book, right?. In this instance, A team of four police hilux arriving the scene and men of the Nigerian mobile force(NPF) also comprising of detectives disembarks securing the parameter, the Nigerian army Cobra APC and a tactical reinforcement team just meters away incase of attacks from #UGM, situated at least away from the scene as backup where bullets start flying. The particular traffic lane where the incident took place will be cordon off to allow reduced vehicular traffic, collect the information and also to prevent attack from the unknown gunmen because they might surely attack.

A drone should be sent out as an eye on the sky to provide reconnaissance Incase of any attack on this location by UGM (By now every governor should be buying drones for the NPF) as detectives fan out with note pads, asking residents politely with same attitude of marketing officers quizzing shop owners and everyone around the crime scene what they saw, heard or imagined happened, who where the perpetrators?, how many in number? Guns they carried?, what where they wearing?, what was their getaway vehicle like?, Who did they kidnap?, why was the slain officer killed?.... Etc.

Which would have yielded more results and respect?

If that info is TRUE, I ask.........

Does the Nigerian military not understand the significance of ISWAP and BH merging or ISWAP controlling areas surrounding Maiduguri?

The plan is to COMPLETELY SURROUND Maiduguri and the indifference of the decision makers is helping those bastards achieve their aim.

Even if the number of trucks moved was exaggerated, the number of troops and men needed to attack(let alone overwhelm) BH is too large to go unnoticed by intelligence.
We still dey on cruise mode with this war.
Listen bro, for them to be attacking themselves means only one thing, they don't give a fvck about the Nigerian Army! You can't have a strong enemy and be concerned about piecemeal (NA).
