I have same issue. But it happens only when I accelerate hard.

I once used a long rod to pluck some mangoes in our compound and totally unaware of live low tension electricity cables around.

Long story short, that rod touched some of the cables with a loud spark and bright lights but I wasn't shocked. I still cannot explain that experience till this very day.

The rod bridged the L and N wires together at the same time. This allowed potentially fatal electric current to safely flow to the power source directly instead of through your body to the ground. You were very lucky.

Let the mechanic get the no-start issue to occur again. Then check for fuel supply while that is happening from the fuel hose. Hope no aftermarket security is installed on the car?

A scan is good but I suggest you check all your fuses first. The AC guy must have caused an electrical short which he will NEVER admit. I suspect it happened while he was testing the compressor clutch with their stupid 17th century method.

Just locate the fuse box and check all the fuses and hope the problem is there. Pay attention to those controlling the devices that are not working and also the brake lights (I assume your brake lights too are not working when you press the brake pedal, that's probably why the gear stick doesn't leave park).

Battery is drained. Did you test with another battery?

I wonder why mechanics hardly realize most idling problems are caused by dirty throttle body, valve or vacuum leak.
Let your mechanic clean your throttle body & check around the engine for removed tiny vacuum hoses.

Do you remove your battery terminals frequently?

If yes, consider not doing that or wait for the car to idle for 5 minutes after reconnecting the battery without touching the pedal at all after first start.

if no, let your mechanic clean the engine's throttle body.

Online search indicates a Light Failure Sensor module damage or wiring problem could cause your problem if other things pointed out checks out.

The only way to disable the light is to remove its bulb behind the panel or block it but I recommend you just ignore the light.

2. Are you sure you replaced the bulbs you changed with the right wattage?
That instrument cluster warning is essential. Don't remove it. It's part of what makes your car different from 1984 benz 200.

To be clear, does the light come on when you press the brake pedal or when you turn on the headlights?

This will only work if the thief knows exactly where you hanged your keys and he is within the operating distance of the fob which is quite small.
I guess a solution is to always keep your fob away from outside facing walls and windows and probably buy some sort of radio shield.

What car do you drive? Age sometimes affect some critical linkages or sensors that affects shift timing and quality.

The fourth generation is too ugly. I love the 3rd gen.

It's a bad practice. You will wear out the transmission bands prematurely.

I can confirm that roads are really generally bad in Ogun state.

The quality of life is better, economy is poorer though.

Anyone that lives comfortably in other less stressful states like osun, ondo ekiti etc will not appreciate the peace of mind he HSS until he comes to Lagos. Lagosians have made hard life look like a normal life. If you can't learn to run after korope or keke napep, they will tell you that u can't live in Lagos. Someone saw my carrying my son and how he's fond of me, she said my son doesn't know anything that in Lagos he will be on his own when his dad and mum have left early in the morning until late at night.
