- Despite all their "have mouth", over 3million Beerfrauds were slaughtered like chickens, yet they could not do anything about it till today?
-Despite their loud mouth., Flattyheaddys have been begging their Hausa Masters to set them free, since 1967, till date! Who mouth eep?
- Despite all the mouth they have, they are always been under the rule of Mallams, since they misbehaved in 1965!
- Upon all their 'have mouth', they could not storm Kudje prison to release Nnamdi Kanu or even release Andy Ubah who is currently Kudje landlord
- With all their mouth, not a single one of them was able to go and collect their jail-bird leader, Nnamdi... it took two Afonjas to do so!

Lagos state government may demote or sack the principal for allowing someone take this pics and post in social media.
They cannot demote or sack the Principal ...........unless they can prove that:

1.) It is part of his job to prevent anyone from taking pictures within the school premises

2.) In this day and age where anyone carries a Smart phone, that the Principal has the "resources" to watch and Police everyone with a Smart phone, from using it to take pictures in the School Premises.

If the Govt cant prove those two items beyond doubt, then better not attempt any rough-handling of the Principal otherwise, they would get sued and will lose the case => Plenty Money for the Principal in terms of Legal Damages!

I think they would be better served to use such money to repair the School, instead.

"Edited"

If the North forcefully decide to put a running mate in presidential position against the VP, am afraid the ticket will not sell.

Their coerce strategies for the VP to resign will end up hunting them but this is when he (the VP) should remain resolute and allow justice play it's course.

Indeed the cabals are crawling out from their caves knowing their master does not have the wilt to continue.

Note: I don't expect less from some people saying it's master-slave fight but they don't know this is pure politics at play as one or two of their people will b involved no matter what.
In a scenario where Buhari cannot continue in 2019 and Osinbajo is on the ticket for APC, let us look at what may happen;

1.) Lets assume the North feel they cant have their way, what can they do? They can refuse to vote for APC (Osinbajo).

2.) The South will Vote for APC.

3.) Now, the East, out of hatred, may not want to vote for a Yoruba (Osinbajo/APC).

4.) Ofcourse, PDP will not present an Igbo President, so it is safe to say they will present another Northerner.

5.) That Northerner in PDP, will get the North's Vote.

6.) The East/Igbos (unlike what Yorubas/West did in 2011, when they supported/voted Jonathan,an Eastern Candidate, based on "rationality and best interest", against this same Buhari) will rather vote a Northerner in PDP, ....meaning PDP can produce the next President but it will still be a Northerner.

But another crucial decider will be who each party, makes its VeePee.:

a.) If APC with Osinbajo, makes a Northerner its V.P, it may dilute the Northern vote a bit but knowing the North, they ar elike Sheep and treasure being the President more than anything, so they will stil vote the PDP, for a Northern President.

a1.) But if the APC/Osinbajo makes an Easterner its V.P, it may dilute the Eastern Vote for the PDP/Northerner President. How much this can sway the election will now depend on who the East trusts more, to achieve their own personal interest.
From what l know, the Northerner will NEVER allow an Igbo to be President, they still have the events of 1965 on their mind and have vowed that an Easterner must NEVER rule this country.

b.) If PDP/Northerner President, makes an Igbo its V.P. This will certainly add-up to the Northerner votes and may likely produce a winning ticket.
But it will still boils down to whether the Igbos will chose "their long term interest" or will take side with their "hatred for the West/Yorubas".

Long term interest of the Igbos can only be achieved with Yorubas on their side (reason Biafra has never been realisable is simply because Igbos have not had the sense to overcome their hatred for Yorubas.

Igbos/East FEAR the "The Northerners" but HATE the Yorubas.
Yorubas/West DISTRUST both the East and the North but still finds the North manageable, as long as it is not about "Political Power".
Northerners/Hausa/Fulani DETEST/LOATH the Igbos?East but holds the West/Yorubas in contempt, even though they still find them reasonable.

Thus, it is very obvious that Easterners hold the key in 2019 (if they dont "sell" their "influence' as is always the case!).
It will boil down to them deciding whether to vote for based on "Hatred" or to Vote based on "rationality and self preservation".

The above are my own permutations, l may be wrong though. undecided undecided

Politics › Re: Father Blames Ambode And APC After His 8-Day-Old Baby Died In Traffic by Daboomb: 6:09pm On May 11, 2017
Nigeman:
Mad man, is it Ambode that caused his son's death?

Lagos Roads have been experiencing Gridlock before and after independence.

Ambode is trying change the face of Lagos by constructing road networks and someone out there causing. The prayers of other Lagosians erase the curse.

I sympathise with him.
You are way so,so stewpid!

It is He-Goats like you, people who talk first before engaging their brain, that make Leaders behave anyhow.
Now let me break it down for you:

1.) That their have been traffic hold-ups in Lagos since 1957, is not the issue here. The Boy who died was not born in 1957 or whatever.

2.) The Governor is the Chief Law officer of the State and as such, "the buck stops at his table". He is held responsible for whatever happens (official issues) in the state.
3.) Ambode is the Governor of Lagos, he is an APC member and APC is in-charge of Lagos state and its "state apparatus".

4.) The Gridlock of that particular day, on that particular road, was caused because APC was having a convention nearby to that road.

5.) As expected, the large influx of PC members and vehicles, reduced the chances of any free flow of traffic on that road.

6.) When a child is sick, the parents have a duty to seek medical attention for him. This Dad, did exactly that.

7.) It is not the responsibility of a private Citizen, to ensure that the roads are free and motorable. That is the responsibility of Govt...headed by Ambode
8.) Ambode and his Govt, FAILED this Dad because they did not perform their duties, nay keeping the road free and motorable for private.

9) While this is not holding Governor Ambode PERSONALLY liable for the death of the infant (at least, as a Governor, he has IMMUNITY!), the fact that "the state and its agencies" shirked in their responsibility, to make the road passable for other road users, they have what in "law', is called Vicarious liability".

10.) Those who organised the convention, have a "duty of care" to other road users: They should have made arraignments for "traffic management" and even more, should have made arraignments for "EMERGENCY EVACUATION"...wherever an emergency like the case of this boy arises.
In saner climes, the Ambulance, Fire Brigade and even Air Ambulance, will be on standby, for emergencies.

11.) Imagine, if a House was on fire and the fire engine got to that point, is it not going to "snail through" the same traffic, being held up until the house gets razed to the floor?
Those who organised that Convention are not only brainless, they are careless and need to be punished by law.
(This is not about partisan politics as l also voted APC in the last election.)

12.) When you want to "infringe" on public space you should get a permit, pay an amount that will in-turn be used to bear the cost of "emergency and alternative solutions" to the problems your actions are likely to cause for other users of that public space.

All these were not done...the father was unaware that the road was blocked...there wasn't any emergency evacuation alternative (like air ambulance) for the sick infant... father tried all his best but had to watch with his own eyes, as his son gradually gave up the ghost because some Political touts needed space to slug it out over political office!

Same thing happened last week, at the Ibadan-end of the Toll gate when Two Buses were involved in a HEAD-ON COLLISION because of diversion created by Road Repair works! No Sign to indicate that another vehicle is using your lane and coming in the opposite direction nor anything to organise and manage the "overtaking" in the shared lane

I have seen a whole two Kilometer Over-head bridge (flyover) built over an "8-lane express Road" with another four lanes of road emptying into that same road at the junction that the flyover was meant to cater for, without blocking the road entirely and Not a single accident occurred while the work was started and finished within a record time.
The reason is that those who are doing the roadworks know that they would be in serious trouble, should an accident occur at that place, which can be attributed to their road works they are doing.

They did EVERYTHING humanly possible - created new diversions, marked it properly, installed temporary traffic lights and where not possible, had dangerous spots manned by "human traffic controllers" that directed and passed traffic in an orderly fashion.

They ensured that there are no dangerous puts or manholes that could injure anyone, they placed enough "fluorescent Caution Signs" at the approach to the road works and did everything possible to ensure that everyone felt that they (roadworks company) are "responsible for their actions" at that spot.

But in Nigeria, "Life is cheap and can be wasted". Even the Life Citizens (like you) are too dumb and too cheap to be worthy of being preserved, hence your silly defence of the Governor, without using your brain first.

That is what Nigeria in general, had been reduced to...and that is what clowns like you are happy with and applaud, as good governance.
Thunder fire you.

NB: I feel so much sympathy for this Dad, l can imagine how you felt, watching what you and your wife laboured and suffered for, dying without any help, right there in your presence. Its really a trauma. may the heaven heal you and your wife and give you another baby, though that would not be a replacement..... That Child that died is irreplaceable and he could have been anything in future. But take heart.

did you insure it ?

i have posted about insurance several times.

it seems expensive but it is worth it.

Sorry for your loss Bro.
Not necessarily a total loss.

Every Car driving on the Road has one form of insurance or the other (3rd party, Fire and theft, Comprehensive, e.t.c)
`
Agreed, if he had comprehensive insurance (assuming our Insurance Coys are not as fraudulent as they are as of today), he can make a CLAIM and be compensated to a certain percentage of the loss, without all the hassles of court (though, l dont know which is easier; hassles of court ...or trying to get a Nigerian Insurer to reimburse a loss)

The "bad side' of this is that:
1.) His Premium will rise dramatically such that it will appear his insurance company only "loaned" him the money he claimed (got paid back!).
2.) What he will be paid by the insurance company, will be less some deductions, by the insurance company and he will have to make up the rest.

Not a "particularly very good" result either.

He can get paid, for the damage on a "private basis".
Car Talk › Re: How My Car Was Wrecked Due The Carelessness Of A Police Officer. Advice Please! by Daboomb: 12:01pm On Apr 29, 2017
Synord:
Contact a lawyer first.. if possible, get one of the eye witnesses to accompany you and corroborate your claim..

Do u have access to this truck driver ?? if so, contact him also because he is a prime witness..

Make sure what the driver ,witness and yourself write includes the part of the police officer dragging the car with them..

If possible, engage in a conversation challenging them about the report of the eye witness and carefully record it on your mobile..

if also possible, request to see the dpo himself of the office as he may be more ready to deal with any officer involve and ensure your car gets back to position !!!
You have said well...

Though, you might need to re-arrange the order of what he should do.

1.) Get details of the truck (locate it, take pictures of where it impacted your vehicle with its plate number showing, take picture of the driver too)
2.) Take picture of the parking position of your car, (showing that it was not obstructing the road), the damages to it and get an "Estimate Total Cost of Repair" from a professional Auto~Shop)

3.) Accost the Driver and ask him if he will repair your vehicle by himself or if he thinks the Policeman should be held responsible for the repair (record this conversation)
Expect him to decline to repair it and blame it on the Policeman... in doing so, he will explain how the Policeman was struggling the steering with him, voluntarily) Try and let him tell you the details of the Police man. Ask him if he can identify him, if he sees him.
If he agrees to pay the cost of repair, let him sign an undertaking, with a Witness.

4.) Get his phone number and say you will call him back. Conform that it rings on his phone before you leave his presence.

5.) Send him a Text, repeating what you asked verbally in #3 above.
You want him to re-explain what happened, but now in a Text-form, as a reply.

6.) Take the above to a good and smart Lawyer (So many woo-woo Lawyers can spoil a good case while a good Lawyer can even win you a bad case! )

7.) With your Lawyer in-tow, go to the station and make a formal complain. Your Lawyer should ask to see the DPO.
Let your Lawyer explain what happened and ask "if" the Policeman is willing to bear the cost of repair (They will also decline).
Let your Lawyer tell them you will be filling a Civil case and joining the Police Force (and Police man), as defendant.

Your Lawyer should apply to the Courts for Damages to your Vehicle, loss to you for not been able to use it, cost of litigation, due to negligence on the part of the driver and Police, dangerous driving, e.t.c

Now, this is what "may" happen:

a.) Police will arrest he driver and FORCE him to repair your vehicle or pay the cost of repair.
b.) The Driver too, if he is smart, may engage a Lawyer and sue the Police man as well.
As it were, Driver will drag Policeman, just as your are dragging the Driver.
At the end of the day, your vehicle must be repaired.

Note: It is unlawful to refuse to stop, when stopped by a Police Officer (as in real Police, not these criminals in uniform...but they are still "Police" all the same) ......... Driver Commits an offence
It is also unlawful to struggle the steering-wheel with the Driver of a moving Vehicle, irrespective of the situation (there are other legal ways to bring the vehicle to a stop)...........Police Man commits an offence.

fortifiedng:
Police arraigns alleged Sterling Bank Whistle-blower, Blogger

The Nigeria Police Force has arraigned a self-acclaimed whistleblower, Dennis Ukpabi, and a blogger, Fejiro Oliver, for cyber stalking.

It was learnt that Ukpabi, who is a former employee of Sterling Bank Plc, was arrested for publishing a book titled, ‘The Whistleblower’, in which he accused some employees of the bank – Adekanla Desalu, Eguru Nyenke, Janet Akpan and Kojusola Ajao – of fraud.

Ukpabi also alleged that after exposing the fraud in the bank, one of his colleagues involved in the fraud was promoted because she was dating an executive director at the bank.

Ukpabi and Oliver were arraigned before a Federal High Court in Lagos on Friday on five charges bordering on alleged acts of ‘cyber stalking’, which are said to be punishable under the provisions of Section 24 of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition and Prevention etc) Act, 2015.

The first charge read, “That you Dennis Ukpabi and Tega Oghenero between 1st – 13th February, 2017 in Lagos within the jurisdiction of Federal High Court, conspired together to commit felonies, namely, knowingly and intentionally sending intimidated, hatred, insulting and needless anxiety messages and thereby committing an offence punishable under section 27 (1) (b) of Cybercrime (prohibition, prevention etc Act 2015).”

Another charge read that the accused sent offensive messages to Desalu, Busola Awosile, Nyenke and Adeyemi Odubiyi, which are said to be ‘’punishable under section 24 (1) (b) of Cybercrime (prohibition, prevention etc Act 2015.’’

The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The prosecution counsel, who is also a Superintendent of Police, Mr. J. Oloruntoba, asked the court to remand the defendants in prison custody. Frantic efforts were made by lawyers representing the two defendants; Mrs. Kitan and Mr. Inibehe Effiong, to persuade the court to admit them to bail.

Effiong, who is a human rights lawyer, informed the court that the defendants were accosted by the police and arraigned surreptitiously without proper and adequate notice.

The trial judge, Justice Mohammed Idris, asked the defendants’ counsel to bring a formal application for bail and promised to hear it expeditiously.

The judge remanded them in Ikoyi Prison

http://tweemk..com/2017/04/police-arraigns-alleged-sterling-bank.html
First, these charges are BAILABLE...and the accused should be offered bail.
On this ground, remanding them in prison gives the impression that a lot of "Big men"`, including Senators are Judges in our society, are bent on "killing" the whistle-blowing culture. This is sad indeed.
The crime is not a criminal offence because at worst case, it bothers on Slander or Libel, as the case may be.
Its Civil case, the Police should have no hand in it.

On the other hand, these Lawyers (especially the Human Rights Lawyers) should be up to the task.

The case was taken to the High Court and any Lawyer worth his salt should know that "Oral" bail application is not allowed in the High Court.
It has to be "Written and Pleaded"
(and BTW, except the Judge uses wisdom, it is usually not done on same day...so Kudje straight! grin)`````````````

Finally, looking at the charges, it is obvious they have nothing to do with the Whistle-blower.
These trump-up charges are just a fight back, using corrupt Police, to intimidate the Whistle-blower.

Fed Govt needs to pay very close attention to Judges (and Police) that are used to frustrate whistle-blowers.

Corruption is doing press-Ups and fighting back.
Citizens need to be strong and fight back too

Jakumo:
Nigeria's area boys, "sympathizers" and jobless "good Samaritans" will launch a riot over nothing.

Motorcycle rider gets hit by a car : Riot, burn dozens of cars, and rob motorists trying to flee the scene.

Mentally unstable old woman gets lost in the street : Riot, call the woman a witch, beat her to death and set her alight before a baying mob.

Manchester United loses a home game at Old Trafford in far away UK : Riot in Lagos, burn down TV viewing shacks, and attack passers-by.

Some fat rich guy dies : Riot and rob motorists for the whole day, kidnapping victims slow to make their escape, so as to claim ransom later.

Two men get in a street fight : Riot, label one of the combatants a genital thief, beat him to death, steal his wallet, and set him aflame.

Nigeria's streets are crawling with very hungry and very angry people all stalking about on a hair-trigger, while fervently PRAYING for ANY excuse to lash out in rage and join a lynch mob to kill somebody, anybody, in primal vengeance for a frustrated life of poverty and petty jealousy aimed at ANYONE who appears well fed.
This is Epic!
The bolded part worries me a lot.

Even if their grouse was against "those who rob them daily, of their future", maybe l would have granted them a pardon but for Poor, irate street urchins and armed robbers, to keep descending on fellow, poor commoners, ......while pretending not to see the looters and Sarakis in our society...makes me think "Poverty is a disease" that affects the brain mostly

Those are his political touts

Its God that gives life.

That is why we should thank Him everyday we wake up.
But shouldn't we be interested in an AUTOPSY first, before rushing to bury people within a few hours of being pronounced dead?

I understand that "Muslim injunction" but based on that, should Muslim Doctors not have perfected a way of doing the Autopsy within a few hours of death such that the injunction to bury before sun-down, is adhered to, without being a clog in the ability to establish a FACTUAL CAUSE OF DEATH, thus preventing all these ignorant and misguided 'Yoots' from displaying their crass madness?

People have even be noticed to wake-up from a coma, thought to be death, due to a temporary stop in the heart beat.... in their Coffins! grin undecided

If these "Yoots" have proof that he was murdered, why dont they hand such over to the Police for investigation?

Honestly, "Yoots" of this country have been a big disappointment since Babangida came to Power

My parents' ancestry is Carribean but I was born in the USA until we moved to Canada. Easy to understand.

Also I only wanted to visit West Africa for experience. I have already seen the Carribean
Your choice of Haiti, the Carribean least developed country, means nothing. You can right over to the Dr, which is also Carribean and find they live better than Nigerians. Or Trinidad, or Grenada or Jamaica even. You speak of poverty but Nigerians live on 1$ a day. That's poverty
Look, just feck-off, l am not in your league!

If your "Caribbean" was good as you claimed, your parents wont run-off to have a baby in America, or would at least have brought you back and you wont be hopping from one country to another!

Speaking of $1/day, your brain cannot phantom the idea that "how much you live on", depends on the price/cost of goods and services in that particular place!

If a 3bed house is rented for an average of #300,000/annum or 12months (#25,000/Month) in Nigeria...this is an equivalent of about $600 per year or $50 per Month), the same type of accommodation will rent for an average of $2,000 per month (#1,000,000 per month) or 12Million Naira per annum in America.
Now do the maths!
Money that would pay for same type of accommodation ...for 4years in Nigeria, being spent on accommodation for just ONE MONTH in Dollar Country...and you want to compare people in both countries, using same indices! grin grin

So you see, surviving on $1 a day does not make you Poor!
It just makes "cost of living" cheaper...and you could actually be living better and buy more things on that $1, than someone who lives $300 a day!

I am from Grenada and Trinidad paternally. I know of your stupid tribal squabbles because, after deciding I want to vacation in West Africa, I lurked this forum for a long time. It is easy to understand your conflicts after only a shorty study time. You're not unique.

Whites did enslave us in plantations, sure, but we have been free of it hundreds of years now, the whites gone or dead by our own hands as Dessaline defeated Bonaparte Napoleon's army in Haiti. Tell me, Nigerian, how did you earn your freedom from colonialism?

Begging, that's how. We took ours and, despite our small we population, black Americans and Carribean have overshadowed Nigerians ever since. You have billionaires but children beg on your streets lepers. You call me slave, yet I have done more, accomplished more and stand higher than you, Nigerian.
And maternally, you claimed to be American and then later, Canadian! shocked shocked

You see why l said you are "internally confused and so mess-up"?
Your problem is deep and stems from a deep-seated identity Crisis!
grin grin

So, it was in West Africa you chose to "Holiday", not even in your native, pristine "Caribbeans"?

Why dont you go and help them in Haiti and cure their Cholera and poverty first..... instead of focusing on Nigeria with some rabid madness?

If Nigeria is giving you nightmares, go see a shrink-head. undecided
