kolafolabi:Dont use the word "controversial"! That Oluwo of a boy is a most silly, randy and useless personae to mount the Traditional stool of Oba. Monarchy in Yorubaland has gone to the Dogs, just look at the calibre of fools that are mounting the Stools, divorcing right left and center, after marrying Oloshos! When did Obas start divorcing? Blasphemy of the highest order, from these heretics who call themselves Obas. Bleaching Oba, Iwo people need to tie this guy and flog th elving daylights out of him. |
healthserve:Let this be a lesson to ALL Southerners and Middle Belters, especially yhe Igbos (no disrespect), that 'In Unity we Stand, Divided, we fall". Igbos that have been saying they would rather support the Northerner for a third term, than support a Southerner in the SW, should have a re-think. Trust me, the North would consider their Cow first as President, before even thinking about any Igbo person! The best, surest and certain route for any Igbo Presidency, lies in an alliance with Yorubas. You can be certain the Yorubas will keep their end of the bargain, as they have demonstrated severally, including with this Buhari administration. You can also be certain that the North will never keep any agreement, more so, not with an Igbo, for the Presidential seat. if they cant keep it with Yorubas, think of what will happen with an Igbo! Let the past be in the past, purge yourselves of anger and hatred of Yorubas, work with them (I hear Sowore has already reached out to Nnamdi Kanu, to see how both nations can work together for their mutual benefit) and break the yoke of these Northerners. They claim all they have to do is throw you some bones and you will come running and begging them! Stop selling yourselves cheap, you deserve better but you cant do it alone or by running towards your mortal enemy. Prove them wrong for the sake of your dignity and your future. regionalism can lead to Biafra but if Regionalism is properly addressed, Biafra actualisation may even become unnecessary afterall, the abuse and failure of REGIONALISM was a catalyst for the agitation for Biafra You have seen what is happening, the same people you think will support Igbo Presidency are already dismantling any igbo possibility! Today, Buhari is registering all the alien Fulanis he imported from Guinea, Sudan, Mali, Senegal, etc, as Nigerians so that he can have a majority of population, using the enforcement of National identity card on them. Yorubas should also be magnanimous and tolerant of Igbos. The Northerners, as epitomised by Buhari, cannot be trusted when it comes to Power. Let those that have ears, use it ot hear, what the spirit is saying. |
Splendor27:God bless you. I am happy that the bolded is coming from a Soldier. it is important that we spread the message within our Units, that when Armed Forces personnel "respect and treat civilians with dignity", the Civilians have no option than to love and respect anyone in Uniform. That is why in the US for example, civilians are ready to do ANYTHING for you, once they knwo you are a veteran or serving personnel. We must educate our Unformed Personnel that "threats, intimidation and humiliation of unarmed civillians" is not what generates respect and love, nor is it a sign of strength by uniformed personnel! Thank you, Victory is from God. |
culturedboss:In Nigeria, we play with fire! When you recruit criminals, cloth them with officialdom and hand them a gun, you have unleashed a monster on the society. From the recuitment process, to the training and work ethics, Nigerian Police (especially), is a haven of criminality. I say this without any disrespect to the tiny fraction of good men in the Uniform and with all sense of responsibility. I have been involved with the same process (recruitment and training), in a foreign country and l know the difference. If we dont start from scratch and overhaul the police infrastructure (men and equipment) of this country, violence will just erupt one day, because the oppressed will not be silent or remain weak, forever. I had a similar experience about twenty years ago! I was taking some equipments to a branch of my office in the East. We were stopped by Policemen on the Benin-Onitsha Express Road. They basically started extorting us, one by one at gun point and l said this is not right. One of them ask me what l can do about it? I said l will report the matter (Uncle was a Commissioner of Police in another state then). As l brought out my phone ( lovely 090 handed to me by the company!), he siezed the phone, slammed it on the floor and it scattered into three pieces, with the battery detached. He said, "look all around you, do you see anyone coming"? I sad "No". He then said "Now, l want you to make your call otherwise l will shoot all of you and declare all of you as armed robbers". At this point, l made a quick mental calculation and realised we are "dead meat" already. I sobbered down and started begging him saying l just wanted to show-off the phone and he should not be offended. Everybody in the bus started emptying their purse into his hand, to calm him down because he had cocked his AK47 and was ready to unleash bullets on us. We begged his colleague who eventaully prevailed on him to "take all the money as compensation" for his anger. That day was the closest l came face-to-face with death and l will never forget it. When l got back and narrated what happened to my Commssioner of Police Uncle, his advice was that "never nake such mistake again, some of these Policemen you see, are killers in uniform and some of them dotn have any value for human life at all". I was shocked because l was expecting righteous anger from him but it seems he has seen enough in his time as a senior police officer, not to be moved by my tale of near death. The strange thing in all these is that the President, the Govt and the Police heirachy keeps living in-denail of this time-bomb, making the problem get even worse. Needless to say, let us understand and act in the proper, requisite manner, that we are being policed the worst form of criminals, the nation can produce...... and we cant do without the Police! ![]() |
eleojo23:Their impunity flows right from the top! Right down from the actions of this President Buhari, to how he appoints and who he appoints as heads of Security organisations like the Police, dome to the Lance Corpral with a gun, manning illegal checkpoints on our roads, they all work together in synergy, as one unified web of distatsful corruption, notwithstanding the leap service the President mouths about corruption. |
NGpatriot:Shut the F-Up my friend! Saying the TRUTh doesnot equate to hate..... and Yorubas are noted for saying the truth, apart fromthe few like you who have enslaved to your belly. No one hates MC oluomo but the fact remains that he is the head of a murderous organisation that instigates violence amongs its members, with such memebrs used for Political thuggery and as Steet Urchins (agberoo) ......... leading to loss of inocent lives. How can you describe the above as hatred, just because it is an unpallatable truth? |
LabDNA:Nobody hates the Easterner, we all disagree with one another on issues, at times. But Please dont use hungry Youths like that boy, to judge the mentality of the whole SW. Hunger and Poverty has turned the mentality of some "Yoots" upside-down. As long as MC Oluomo can throw them some small cash and send them to stand at Street Junctions/Bus Stops and collect money for him, he is a generous man and deserve their servitude! ![]() That is Bola Tinubu's philosophy that has turned the Yoots of the SW into Street Urchins, Thugs and low-lifes in the last twenty years. Now, hardly can you see one that learns a SKILL, even if he can progress with higher education..... they prefer instant gratification by eitheir become a Political Thug, Agbeero or okada/Maruwa driver. |
imolile:You nailed it brilliantly! (I removed the GEJ part because l am not personally sure of its veracity, without proof.) But that does not take anything away from your post. Nigeria has become a country of the absurd.
|
babyfaceafrica:Nigeria is a very weird and sad place! A country where edical Doctors are the ones going to pay COURTESY Visit to a Tout and Political Thug (yes, just see the way the Doctors are grinning and taking picture-autograghs, like they met President trump in the White House!) Its really sad, Criminals, Miscreants and Agberoo are now celebrated and worshiped, by the highly educated ones! No wonder, if you ask any 8yr old boy in Nigeria, what his ambition is, he would tell you Politician or Chairman of NURTW. Nigerians must thank Tinubu for this radically change, in the value-system of the South West |
chukzyfcbb:I am still wondering what you are trying to communicate Looking at the picture that you attached to your post, l am not suprised at your position. You think that thing can be called a House/property? That is just a slum shack. I am talking about a standard house build on a standard plot of land that has title. not the slum shacks on on inaccessible suqare foot of swamp that you try to flog to extremely desperate and poor people, my friend.. ![]() I wont even accept that piece of trash, if offered to me for free. Just look at the picture again! What sort of clients do you deal with, that require a "property" like that? Certainly not my type. Its sad that you call your self an estate agent and you dont even know the difference between buying "a House" (with your own exclusive perimeter fence and adjoining land) and buying "a Block of Flat" within a building, for #17Million ![]() Finally, you should learn to communicate properly, with well-structured statements that convey meaning. And Yes, l thank you for wasting my time with this distraction of yours! |
chukzyfcbb:A lot of things determine the (rental) Value of a Building, not least of it is its LOCATION! #15Million will build a good house in the creeks of Ikorodu (lnad cost inclusive) and rent will be like #200,000/Annum, maximum. In Bariga (to use the example we are discussing here), #20Million will not even buy you the plot of land. Now, if it were in good lacations around Ebute Metta, plot of land goes for as high as #60- #80Million per plot. So, if you buy such plot of land and build on it, will you be expected to rent it out for #300,000/Annum or #2million/Annum? Also, when renting a house, one will have to chose between living far from the city or living within the city. If you live far, say Ikorodu Creeks, you will probably spend half of your life-time in Lagos traffic, with its attendant issues like traffic robberies, breakdowns in traffic, cost of repair to your vehicle, little sleep, not seeing your children, etc ...but you massively save on Rent. On the other hand, a smart person will rent in areas within the city, especially close to major roads/express (this is why places like Bariga, Iwaya, Ebute Metta, comes to mind, they are a stne throw to the Thrid Mainland Bridge) and expect gains like reaching home very quickly, less wear and tear on their vehicle, business opportunity for thos in trading, lots of family time, etc. This is what you pay for, when you live in such areas and this is why their rents can be very high. |
partnerbizn4:Exactly! If there are more houses, the natural laws of demand and supply will negotiate the price on tenant's behalf, not tryingto use force. Imagine, price of a bag of Rice went up from #9,500 to around #24,000 in the last two months. That is over 250%. We still buy the Rice, right? Aftera, we must eat the Rice. we did not kill the seller nor riot on the Govt. Other products in the market has also gone up in prices, at least double, within th elast one year. Transport costs has also more than doubled, in the last one year, we still enter the Bus, right? Now, if a Landlord who depends entirely on his RENT, for his source of living (assuming that is his own investment just like we all have our own investments and returns) goes to the market and finds that prices have gone up by 250%, that means for him to survive, his "income" or investments must generate an increase of 250% as well. So, in that "mindset", we cant really blame the landlord for wanting to survive on his own investment, what he sells, like Rice sellers, Clothes sellers, meat sellers, Transport operators, e.t.c Otherwise, he would only feed for four months, out of the twelve months of the year! So, what we need to do is build more Govt and private houses, to crash the price of rent while APPEALING to the Landlord to absorb some of the rising cost of living, by suffering some more loss, on the value of his own investment. Fighting him on Social media is just a waste of time and energy. You cant use your own money to buy fast, luxurious cars, travel around the world, enjoy life while someone else uses their to build a house and you expect to leave there for cheap. It does not work that way. Some people really suffer (and some die in the process), to build their own house, in a country where Banks wont give you mortgage to build Everyone should also save towards building their own house, no matter how small it is for a start. Buy land and build a Mini Flat on it and like that you are a Landlord! Then you can tell your Landlord to keep his 100% increase and die of hunger. ![]() |
gbadexy:This is another example of unparraleled Honesty, by this gentleman, @gbadexy! While we are chasing some Contractors and Suppliers for half-delivery of products, missing iron, missing cement, paid-for, yet undone jobs, outright stealing of client's materials, this man noticed that the Client piad for six drums but made a mistake by claiming he paid for five drums! Some other Supplier will simply 'look away" and pretend they did not notice but this honest man who knows that "honesty pays", quickly reminded the Client of his mistake! I can only continue to pray for your continued success, Gbadexy. Our country needs people like you and it is not surprising that your business is growing in leaps and bound! Please keep it up. |
vboss:Dont just be praying, do what is required and for peace of mind, do a little above it as well. How much will the introduction of these Pillars cost you? Compare that Price with the value of your life and your loved ones who will live inside this House. if you think the Pillars cost more, please ignore it. If you think your life and that of your loved ones......and the Peace of mind knowing that even if there was a small Tremor (which happenes regularly, last one in and around Abuja and Niger State, both places on very solid grounds) ...your House wont be one of the ones to collapse on its occupants, then please introduce the Pillars. I have never seen a house collapse because they used too much Cement in it or it has too much Pillars. ![]() |
Sugarkkane:What is Obaseki afraid of, that he is desperate to prevent a rally by his own National Chairman? I thought he said he is the Power broker in Edo state? Obaseki has just realised that it is CHECKMATE, with Ize-Iyamu! Obaseki knows that his second term ambition is toast. He is biting the fingers that fed him. Ize-Iyamu is the Checkmate. |
Davash222:With Rice, you can still find local Rice ...........but with Buhari, na ONE CHANCE! All these Brutaliy, Power drunkeness and Tyranny we are seeing in the system, is a reflection of Buhari himself! When the Goons see the "body language" of their Master, they just cant ressist going haywire. ![]() Also, l dont know if anyone had noticed, Buhair intentionally keeps MUTE, hoping and allowing Problems to fester, with the hope that the ensuing chaos will make him INDISPENSABLE as both parties would destroy themselves and he wuld be there gloating! I have never seen wicked leadership like this before and the Evil men orchestrating these are the Cabals, Funtua, Maaman Daura |
explosiveskull:Even more worrying is that a Man who "walked himself to the hospital UNAIDED" (No Ambulance, No Stretchers, etc) just DIED IN THE HANDS OF DOCTORS! And their is no investigation or Autopsy into the cause of death? If he was "white", the health Services will be scrambling to unravel what happened between his arrival at the hospital and death. And even Nigerian Govt will keep mute like their 'mutted" Jibrin, not asking to be adviced of what went wrong, afteral, he is a Nigerian and we dont value lives around here. ![]() |
0monnak0da:Are you for real? She has a Masters Degree, in addition to other certifications in the cosmetic industry. |
It is very sad, not about Aisha travails (which l hold Buhari responsible for) but the fact that Nigerians have been scammed! Nigerians voted for Buhari to be President but he DELEGATED the Post to three members of the Aso Rock cabal, led by Mamman Daura! Why did Daura not just pick up the APC Ticket so we can know exactly who we are voting for? All these Presidency by Deception, is the worst Corruption Ngeria has experienced to date. |
erico2k2:The "basics" can be got from any Advanced textbook on Physics but the details is not what he can teach here on Nairaland! ![]() Nuclear Fusion/Fission are advanced topics but the basics is that by splitting the atoms of radioactive nuclie Uranium,, you generate energy through conversion of matter to energy, in a Nuclear Reactor. That energy is harnessed and coverted to electricity. |
Dedetwo:Again, your worries are well founded but the mistake you are making is that those countries dismantling their Nuclear Power plants have already taken advantage of its cheap, heavy and steady Power of electricity and they are now DEVELOPED, why would they still stick ot the risk involved when they have achieved most of their aims and are now in "Maintenance Mode", which can be done with more expensive but safer energy source? Its all about the "economics and balancing of risks". Just because some are dismantling, does not mean we must copy them and not build. |
Simplyleo:You may be right on your worries about SAFETY ISSUES, bearing in mind Nigerians legendary prospensity for short-cuts and tardiness but Nigerians are not from Mars and if we are to grow our economy, Power is the First Problem we must solve. There are alternative sources of energy but take it from me that NOT ONE SINGLE INDUSTRIALISED NATION HAS BECOME INDUSTRIALISED WITHOUT HAVING AT LEAST ONE NUCLEAR POWER PLANT. NOT ONE, ANDNIGERIA WONT BE AN EXCEPTION. Nuclear Power source is the fastest and the cheapest (in-terms of return on investment) source of electricity and we must embrace it, if we are to cross over to the league of industrialis(ing) nation or even "developing" nations. What we need to do is to mitigate against the risks involved. Even Japan, despite their advancement and knack for dilligence, they still had "an accident", so it is not entirely about how dilligent we can be. We just need to seek help, make sure we deal with saboteurs (Politicians and Civil Servants who collect Bribe to subvert safety measures, by firing squad!) and deliver a safe Nuclear plant. I am not sure if Russia or China are our best options but we all know that the Europeans and Americans wont want us to have it because they see our development and advancement as innimal to their own foreign policy on theblack people, especially Nigerians because that would reudce the amount of influence they have on us and Black Africans in general, so going to them might also mean an endless wait for delivery, nto to mention their flip-flop on policies. Maybe we can have a consortium of contractors from bot "East and West" such that the "East" (Russia/China) builds, while the West (Germany, Canada or another European company) Vets and ensure safety and rule-management. But the bottom lin eis that we need to act fast and get it built, before looting Politicians who cannot deliver the Lagos Ibadan expressway since 1999., steal the money again. |
One thing that has become obvious is that these financial scams are perpetrated with the connivance of Bank Staff and the Police in some instances. First Bank is especially notorious for this conspiracy and if you have any appreciable amount of money, please move it out of Firs bank and take it elsewhere. It is not possible for a scammer to clone your ATM card and your BVN, without the connivance of the staff of the bank. Also, when these scams are discovered, the Bank staff then seek to cover-up the account where the money was transfered to, thereby protecting the identity fo the scammers (which shows they are working together). Even when the matter is reported to the Police, they start demanding for half of the amount you have already being scammed, before they can start investigation, which l think should be first and foremost, identifyimg who owns the account where the money went. (A simple, preliminary identification of that account owner would have stopped a lot of anguish!). How do you expect say somebody whose whole account has been drained, to now cough out say 200K for you, before you can make effort to stop the scam? What manner fo Police and Bank staff do we have nowadays? One of my employee was scammed that way and the above is what transpired after! Corruption is killing this country and those fighting their one-sided corruption fight are not helping matters because it is getting worse. |
optimus106:Children of Anger and Hatred! Leave Yoruba matter alone and focus on how to stop the gully erosion in your backyard. But if you dont care about that, try and do something about the PHYTON that keeps DANCING with your people or is that one caused by Yorubas too? Brainless punks.
|
SarkinYarki:Dont blame the Proff too much, Buhari fooled a lot us us since 2015, with his fake ear pain, fake sickness, fake anti corruption fight and fake 'lam now a democrat'. It is just taking the Proff a longer time to come to terms with reality, probably due to old gae. He will get there very soon, like the rest of us "Sai Buhari" bridgage. |
mu2sa2:Oooh Sharrap, you bunch of Peodophiles and Suicide bombers! Nigeria has spent no less than half on her income in the last few years, trying to bring commonsense to you people in the North. They build Schools, pay you to attend the schools, bring food to the Schools, put A.C inside the classes.....yet you would not attend but prefer to be sleeping with Camels, underage girsl and blow yourselves up so you can go and sleep with a virgin in Neverland. You see what it means to be a true "shit-people'? |
DonFreshmoney:Honestly, MOST of you Yiibo people are IRREDEEMABLE! What if it turns out that the jet belongs to Onyeama of Air Peace or is he not the one the US Govt just indicted for fraud and has been declared wanted by the US federal Agents? Why not just hold your filthy tongue instead of using it to eat feaces ..openly? There is no need to infuse tribe into your post because your own tribesmen are not saints. I am not a fan of Tinubu just as l am not a fan of any corrupt person or politician. As a Nigerian, you Yiibos should be more interested in defending our collective interest against "outsiders" but l am always shocked when l see Yiibo people disparaging thei fellow Nigerians from other tribes, to foreigners! The foreigners nod their head in agreement and then hiss at the foolish Yiibo man, who thinks he is making himself acceptable to the whiteman. What he does not know is that the foreigners are now able to differentiate the tribes of Nigeria, through their names and physical features. ![]() Would you ever see a White person disparaging his fellow whiteman (even when caught red-handed in a criminal activity!) ..to a black man? be wise and stop riddiculing yourself and exposing your foolishness. |
glowingflame7: We are all DSS fans now abi you want to start another round of witch-hunting?You are also hereby declared a fugitive by DSS ![]() |
Even as we all agree that this buhari is a tribal bigot, a clanish despot and a tyrant, wecan all see that he cares ONLY about his own Northern (Fulani) people. Every Federal Director General and Head of Security Outfits is currently held by Northerners/Fulanis ONLY, with their poor level of education. The question we must ask is that: WHAT DID THE SOUTHERN PRESIDENTS DO FOR SOUTHERNERS? What did OBASANJO that i smaking noise now, do for Ogun state or for the other Southern States of Nigeria.....apart from amassing wealth for himself? What did Goodluck JONATHAN do for Bayelsa, Otuoke or other states in Southern Nigeria........ apart from allowing Northerners to steal and loot, in his name? So, most of problems of Southerners can be traced to the foolish leaders they produce in Southern Nigeria. Just look at Tinubu for example, he is ready and selling out his own people, just for his own personal , selfish ambition! I hope the Southerners have learnt their lesson, when they also get into power, they must ensure that they "empower" their own people, appoint them as Heads of all Security Agencies to protect their regime, Director Generals of all Govt Agencies and develop their own region as well, if the Northerners like, they should make all the noise they can. Worst that will happen is for the country to break-up. |
planetx:Now you know why Buhari sponsored that his Senator brother to try pass the Hate Speeh Bill. If that Bill was law, by now all of you posting on this thread, though saying the truth, as long as Buhari does not like it, y'all dead. He will use the law and his DSS to first lock you up indefinitely in prison, before snuffing the life out of you. Buhari is a a tyrant, a Dictator and a danger to Nigeria's Unity. |
isthatso:And if someone did not amend the constitution of Nigeria to abolish regionalism, when he was Prime Minister, because he hoped to rule over the whole country, we wont be saddled with all these Political Parasites! But that is by the way, we need to be forward-thinking and try to undo the damage we have allowed this Almanjeris to inflict on our collective sensibilities. Let us vote as one block (not minding their attempt to divide us, even if it means making sacrifices we would never have thought of making) and get these Cows where they belong. #Hate*Truth*Speech Say no to silencing dissenting opinion. Buhari is a tyrant and a dictator. |
Gazzy88:It is Tinubu's GREED, OVER_AMBITOUSNES and SELFISHNESS that is making him mute when he should be talking, especially when he throws his own people under the bus, for selfish personal gains. Tinubu has becoem irrelevant, he can continue to asist Buhari to hound Osinbajo and Sowore, he would NEVER become President of Nigeria, never Recall his famous "it is not only Fulanis that are kidnappers", when Fulani Kidnappers killed the daughet of Pa Ayo Fashaoranti, (Funke), despite eye witness accounts/ ![]() BTW: Stop struggling to claim to be Yoruba, they dont write in on ofrehead or advertise it, as you are doing. Bloody imposter! ![]() |
