Indeed men have responsibilities in pregnancies but the first level of exposure/risk is on the woman. This record has been played over and over again and the expectation should be since men don't own up to their responsibilities she wont be the vessel that brings a fatherless child to this world.

Personally, in my dealing with anyone i evaluate where the risk lies and ensure i mitigate it especially where it weighs heavily on my side. I think her advice is meant to inspire younger ladies. I guess someone needs to ask the young men to understand the implication of their actions.

The child is only fatherless if the baby daddy is dead though, as long as he is alive. He has no excuse. He must, MUST take care of that child, however, if people feel that the baby daddy can do whatever he likes. I came here to laugh but she actually made a bit of sense. Better to get divorced than to be in a toxic marriage.

The rise in the rate of divorce in Nigeria is a VERY POSITIVE thing. We should be celebrating the end of toxic marriages. You know, like throwing parties.
And the rate of divorce will continue to rise till mad people stop getting married, sort their issues out and cure themselves before thinking about marriage.
