Do people get paid for making nasty comments about a woman's marital status?

Whats her business if a woman is married or not? What's people business if a woman is married or not?

Miserable frustrated people all around. Looking for ways to make others as frustrated as they are.

People have become so foolish and entitled as to think they can shame someone for How they choose to celebrate their birthday.

You have perfectly summarized the nonsense advice here. Had I listened to such nonsense, I would have ended with a man I would by now be very tired of, to say the least. Thank God I was stubborn enough to wait for my own time and on my terms. wink
Lol thanks, like I said, quite scary, grin
I'm glad you followed your brain and your heart and it ended up good for you, smiley I wish op the best no matter what she chooses.
I just didn't like the idea of her making a decision from advice given out of fear(that she won't find another good man) and desperation (for op to lock down her man since she won't get another good one).

Mindfulness:
I will always say it. If it is not a "HELL,YES!" it is a "HELL, NO!".

Marriage is supposed to be a long term commitment so you should be eager to embark on this journey with someone you love and who loves you too. If you are simply looking for some sort of security then it is enough for him to love you and treat you nice.

You may learn to love him in time but you may also grow increasingly intolerant of him because, no, love is not a decision. It is a feeling. It is deep, intense and it is strong. When you love a man, only looking at him gives you pleasure and even years into the marriage, he can easily take your breath away. You smile when you think of him and being together is fun and easy. You feel at home with him and at your best.

Isn't it what we ALL are looking for? This supreme feeling of love? We only settle for less because we give up on the belief that it is possible or for some reason feel unworthy of this kind of love. You have given up on this dream rather early.
Mindfulness:
I think you were and I think I did. And this is the kind of nonsense that makes people settle for less.
Thank you, some of the advice given here was quite scary,
Making it seems as though, he is the last good man on earth and if she doesn't marry him she may(won't) get another guy on earth that is good to her and that she will actually love, so she better hurry up, do the needful and settle for him, It was quite bothersome.
Or acting as though just because she said she doesn't feel love for this guy then she wants one dangerous bad boy that will shatter her heart.

tintingz:
Rushing into marriage hoping things will change is not certain and not a good advice.
Thank you

The market men/women are not receiving minimum wage in the first place, why would they lock their shops? The strike doesn't affect them,
I wonder why NLC should say markets shouldn't open.
SaintLucia:
Wait and see wetin? Today is environmental in all markets. Most self-employed people will never participate in this their useless strike.

The market men/women will soon open their shops after the environmental. Many states are yet to implement the 18k and NLU have not be taking action in states where governors are owning salaries.

Labour Union are so selfish and only fight for their interests, there are many casual workers without letter of employment in Nigeria and labour isn't doing anything about it. There is this issue of age barrier and discrimination where public and private sector will not give you job because of your age even though you are qualified.

These are also part of what labour union should be fighting for. Minimum wage is a constitution if signed into law, at it stand today, not all state can implement what they are fighting for.

True, its wrong to abuse a female and leave the male alone even though both committed the offence together.
I don't even call what they do an offence, but I agree, if people want to take it as an offence then they need to face both genders or to face non at all, the same energy they find to make excuses for men they need to get that same energy to make excuses for women also,
But in this hypocrite society we live in. the females are abused far more than the Men.
True.

A man sleep with many girls and he is praised . while a lady does same and got tagged different demeaning names . true its silly.
Very silly, Very infuriating.

But knowing this fact that the society isn't fair to women should help a woman think twice before venturing into such acts .
Nah this is where we start to disagree, I want women to be allowed to live, live in peace, these rules are ridiculous, and it shouldn't be women bending their backs to please society, one day these backs will break, and I feel the more you bend the more rules they give you to endure, society needs to learn to leave women in peace.
this does not mean am praising a man who engage in promiscuity, such a man as far as am concerned lacks sense. If you know how much some men spent just to get sex of few mins, one will know they are really useless
Lol, well for me I don't really care what anyone does as long as they are not hurting someone else or hurting themselves, if they are OK with what they do and it doesn't hurt anyone(especially women) then let everyone have fun and live their life.

what you have said I have addressed countless times all over NL even under this thread, I can't begin repeating myself. I am sure u also address things as they arise and give a particular angle in that moment. So I may not talk about men here but I always do,
OK then.
in the end they are the real problems but fact is they get away with these acts,
How do they get away with these acts though? Isn't it when people refuse to call them the same names they call ladies and instead give these men passes for no other reason than their gender? Just like you tried to do tbh.
While Ladies Get Tagged Hoes,
Once again, Tagged hoes by who? It's human beings that give them these tags, Won't it stop if people just stop tagging them ONLY as hoes and instead give the tag to all genders or to none at all?
or get pregnant or have to abort, so who carries the bigger burden?
But I don't think all these girls came to you to complain about their pregnancy or abortion, or put their "burden" of pregnancy or abortion on you, though, sooo.... Why are you bothered?
Hope u get the point.
I got your point smiley but I have issues with it
As for ur last question, I dnt understand what ur asking.
Was just wondering why you cared about how many people a lady has slept with, it would only make sense if you are gay or bi, or pan and have a specific lady as a partner and you are interested in that specific lady's history, then it would make sense
However personally I dnt want to end up with someone with a ridiculous body count, like has slept with all his female friends, neighbors, married friends etc. Abeg, I can't be trying to be upright and end up with that kind of male hoe! So it matters to me,
This is cool,
I dnt mean u have to begin telling how and where u did what but that kind of history of excess can't be hidden. If I know I will rather shift.
Cool also

NO. Very wrong. What is happening to our moral compass! Small thing a lady is called Hoe, yet some dumb ass ladies are saying yes. So how many guys will u sleep with in the name of cohabiting before u marry lass lass. I can't comman be preaching. Morally, wrong. Religiously, wrong.
Where is your anger and sermon towards the men? Aren't they hoes too?
Aren't the men dumb asses too for sleeping with the ladies too?
How many girls will these dumb ass men sleep with in the name of cohabiting before they marry lass lass?
And Why the hell are you interested in how many people someone (who isn't your partner) has slept with in the first place?

I can't support her first statement on Jesus and feminism, but I do support her second statement right here.
She made a lot of sense

A member of the audience pointed out that men and women were created differently, therefore it is flawed to say they are equal.

He said:

In reply, Chimamanda explained that men and women are indeed different, but equal.

Okay, this post touched me small embarassed
I don't know if it's more of what you posted or if it's the way it's written,
I Think it's the way you write.

IamLEGEND1:
This, right here, is our problem. it's not like we lack the ability to empathize with others who are unlike us, we just choose not to.
To accept homosexuality as simply an alternative lifestyle means accepting your own lifestyle isn't the only right one, and isn't necessarily better than that of the other person. This opens up a whole can of worms for some people that they aren't ready to deal with, so all the bottled-up insecurities just come rushing out.

I'll give you an example. it's not the same thing, but I hope it gives you some insight into how this whole thing works.

See, back when I was younger, I went to a boarding school where we all went to the kitchen, got our foods and returned to the hostels to eat. Now, I'm left-handed, and to some people, that is taboo. I had a friend who had nothing to eat that day and I offered him my food. We got our spoons and settled down to eat, then he saw me trying to reach into the dish with my left hand.
He quickly dragged the whole plate away and said we wouldn't eat if I didn't switch back to my right hand. this guy was twice my size and I clearly couldn't fight him if I tried, but I stood my ground and said no to his demands. Don't forget that this was my food but because he thinks he's the one using the 'right' hand, he has a right to dominate and tell me how to eat my food. Another guy, older, overhead us and stepped in, but can you guess whose side he was on? Of course you can , and you did. He took the other guy's side and his reason for that was because he too used his left hand once but with his parents 'guidance' (AKA beating) he learned to use his right, so why can't I?
I was born left-handed, but someone who was born right-handed finds it hard to believe that I just grew up to find myself the way I am, just like he was.

In the end I forfeited my food to this guy. That is what overwhelming opposition with a sense of right can do to you.
But as I got older, I made it a point to use my left hand as often and as publicly as I can. Make I see who go yarn me dust.

maybe that experience has shaped how I see things today, I don't know, but anybody's lifestyle that clearly has nothing to do with me and doesn't hurt me is fine by me.

You should try it sometimes, letting go of all that hate frees up a lot of emotional disk space, I promise.
Romance › Re: How Can I Ask My Girlfriend To Leave My House After 3 Months? by Daeylar(f): 8:55am On Sep 24, 2018
sassysure:
A man that loves a wife like this lady is battling with very low self esteem. If she starts work or hustling, she will be richer than me, men will admire her more, I won't be able to monitor her movement etc. So many disguise on taking care of the children anthem to hide such insecurity.
Yeah I agree with you on that, some or maybe few men have the kind of mindset you outlined above, I really don't think that's why all men who live that way do so, some may just not mind taking care of their woman and have no self esteem issues.

And I must agree with you, most of the ladies want such life.
As long as the man is going out there and bringing in the mo money, they are good. Top it with a car, what else do they need?
.
Lol, I don't know about them, grin
