Nairaland GeneralYour Favourite Section In Nairaland! by dafman(op): 5:21pm On Mar 09, 2006
Nairaland has got so many parts, you can see a very active member in romance who you'll probably never get to see in sports and you might not know the person is an active member until you stumble into that section, or someone who can't be caught dead outside Bleeprated. So which is your favourite section/sections and why you think you like it so much.

PoliticsRe: Third Term Agenda <Vote, Comments> by dafman(m): 2:33pm On Mar 09, 2006
I'm sick and tired of people talking about reform programs, continuity, completion of projects and other bullshit all in the name of third term, for chrissake didn't he know the limit was two term when he came into power, is obj the smartest dude in the land. And one thing everyone should keep in mind is that if he gets a third term and completes it then the next modaf**ker would extend it to four terms and who knows we might be solving equations to get the number of extensions ----

Music/RadioRe: Favorite Music Genre(s) by dafman(m): 3:40pm On Mar 02, 2006
Rap Music is just so cool, the ability to talk in rymes, the ability to be poetic in rap, the ability to protest in rap, the ability to boast in rap, the ability to be funny in rap. I don't just know if there's any other genre that appeals to me more.
R & B - a distant second

With what NYSC has turned to it has outlived it's usefullness, imagine somebody that studied petroleum engineering being posted to a primary school, it's supposed to be a time to get experience and serve your fatherland with the expertise you gained from school. I hope to serve this september, I sure hope things turn out good. I studied petroleum engineering if i'm posted to any school to teach i'll elope.

PoliticsRe: Niger Delta: What Is The Problem? by dafman(m): 3:15pm On Feb 27, 2006
One thing you guys fail to understand is that Nigeria is about the only country in the world where the region where oil comes from is massively underdeveloped. I was listening to bbc news today and the report was on the province of Alberta in Canada being one of the richest in the regions because there is oil there and they where talking of things they are building in the region, services being provided and all that. All the money they are getting from oil is going to them. But in Nigeria it is the reverse even the 13% they have now they fought tooth and nail to have it. The Normal thing is for the region to have 100% and pay tax to the federal government but they are begging for 50% and senators from other regions are saying no as if it is their area, in some other countries rebels would be controlling the whole region and taking proceeds from the oil.
PoliticsRe: Is Nigeria On The Verge Of Civil War? by dafman(m): 2:52pm On Feb 27, 2006
The problem of Nigeria and nationhood is multifaceted. Nigeria is grouped in blocs, southwest, north, southeast, nigerdelta and the rest, as long as people continue to identify themselves with their regional groupings it will be almost impossible to have a united country. Something has to be done to make the country more or less patterned after the U.K system, different countries with one president.
