PoliticsRe: Atiku Injured, Flown To London For Treatment by dafman(m): 1:05pm On Mar 12, 2007
omofineboy:
Fying abroad to treat malaria or ordinary cold to me is no body's business what bothers me on this is if Nigeria's money is used to sponsor such frivolous trips if not am less bothered.
It would be nobody's business if he/she were a private citizen, doesn't it sound ridiculous to you that someone who has governed a state for 8 years or has been v.p for 8 years and who is promising electricity for all, pipeborne water for all, adequate healthcare, quality education if he is elected for a higher position still sends his/her kids abroad for schooling, and goes for treatment abroad.

joshO couldn't have said it better.

These motherfuckers are really taking us for MUGU.

First Yar'adua who has been governor for eight years went abroad for ordinary medical checkup, he could not fix 1 single hospital to world class standard that could handle that in Katsina now he wants to rule the whole country. Now he is promising to do this and do that, if you can't fix the hospitals in your state, how can you fix anything in the country.

A sitting vice president going to London to treat a  dislocation huh what can I say? I mean, what is wrong with us. He will come back and it will be business as usual, nobody asks any questions. There will even be thanskingiving in mosques and churches huh

It might not be in the constitution but pidgin is already an official language in Nigeria, everyone speaks it anyway
TravelRe: No Nigerians Welcome In Tanzania by dafman(m): 12:51pm On Mar 08, 2007
Lawmaina,
Do you know what the population of Nigeria is? out of every 5 africans 1 is a Nigerian. The only reason why it seems like Nigerians engage in more dubious schemes than other africans is because there are many more Nigerians than other africans. Don't go about acting like kenya is one neat, straight and incorruptible nation.

1% of 140 million Nigerians = 1.4 million people

1% of 20 million Ghananians = 200, 000

PoliticsRe: Yar'Adua Is Die by dafman(m): 4:31pm On Mar 07, 2007
Yar'adua situation reminds me of Abacha, about a year before he joined his ancestors, the media was awash with stories that he was sick, what did he do? sending seargeant Rogers after Journalists, now it's Yar'Adua's turn, he's busy inviting people to a squash contest.
TravelRe: Security Measures to Take When Coming Home to Nigeria by dafman(m): 1:33pm On Mar 06, 2007
It amuses me when people talk of coming to Nigeria and act like it's Iraq or Afghanistan, if I weren't in Nigeria, I would be scared stiff. I transit between Warri, Benin and Lagos often, and anytime i'm in these cities and i walk the streets and do everything a normal human being does and am yet to see anything particularly threatening. Now i know that there are crime and all that, but it's not as notorious as it's being made to look like.
TravelRe: No Nigerians Welcome In Tanzania by dafman(m): 1:12pm On Mar 06, 2007
This is really sad, I don't know when africans will learn to love themselves. The Europeans are getting closer and closer everyday to the point of having single currency, single visa for several countries, open borders and all that and african countries are closing their borders, not that there's anything good in them, I mean most of these countries survive by food aid.

EducationF1 Student Visa by dafman(op): 10:44am On Jan 29, 2007
I intend going for U.S F1 student visa interview, I've tried to get information on most of the documents required but there is one that i just don't understand. They say the interviewing officer is to assume that every applicant is an immigrant and it is your duty to prove otherwise, the problem is I don't know what documents exactly is needed to prove that I don't want to immigrate. I've gotten all sorts of info from differents sites and organisations but none seems to be consistent, some say you must have a fat bank account, land document, investment certificates, job offer in your home country when you return, inheritance from your folks, the list goes on.

For those who have passed through this interview, what exactly did you take along with you to prove you are not an intending immigrant? did you have all documents mentioned above?

If no documents are needed then what are you to tell the interviewer to convince him/her that you just want to go study?

Your help would be highly appreciated here.
TravelRe: Ice Skating In Nigeria: At Silverbird Galleria by dafman(m): 8:46pm On Jan 06, 2007
Blackmamba it doesn't have anything to do with colomentality, come to think of it, what in africa is not from the west? We didn't invent electricity nor television, so if we can enjoy entertainment via those media what's wrong with some skiing. Sounds like fun to me.

ICE RINK + TROPICS = cool ,

PoliticsRe: Efcc On Youtube: Nabs 419 Scammers by dafman(m): 9:46am On Oct 26, 2006
Reading some of the racist comments on the youtoube video you will think Nigerians are the worst scammers and spammers. Can you compare the number of spam messages in your inbox to that of 419 messages? all sorts of junk mails clog my inbox daily from stupid american companies, there are even many scam websites that appear to be genuine milking money from gullible Nigerians and other nationals who think you have to pay money to them before you can apply for the Visa Lottery, the official dv lottery website even warns people against such fraudulent websites.

The white people are just dumbfounded that africans can be smart enough to dupe them, that's the reason for all the special attention it's not like we are the country with the highest number of scammers or dupes. Going through the scam mails you even wonder who the criminal is, someone asks you to give him your account so that he can send millions stolen by his country's former leader and you agree. Who's guilty?
