Lagos is just what it is to we that are born and bred there.
When I went for my youth service in Kogi state, it was something else.. I couldn't envisage the kinda life they're living there. It got to a point I started daydreaming about my Lagos.
What's going on in Lagos isn't sane but it's parts and parsle of those of us in Lagos.
Just imagine a Lagos without traffic congestion, pick pocketting, Rushing to board vehicles and all kinds of pollution, would it be Lagos again?

After paying a conductor, he'll still ask u "owo da n beyen? If you're a true Lagosian u know the perfect reply to that..
Also a true Lagosian knows out to squeeze himself among crowds without being delayed, but the end result can be dire, one of ur belongings may have grown feet during that tussle..
U wanna buy stuffs in Computer village, Alaba international market, or Tejuosho market etc? Then u must be 99% smart, that doesn't mean u can't be cheated cos the remaining 1% goes a long way.
Lagos is the capital of hustle, if u are very rugged, smart and not lazy you'll definitely succeed here.
Though every Lagosian is smart but no one is the smartest. If u think u are, one day ur experience will make u concede that u aren't.
How about settlements of street boys..? You drove one fancy car to a particular area(hood) and u expect boys not to collect their entitlements? Tell me where u gonna park ur car or who would secure it for u, bro! Your N500 will go a long way in ensuring maximum security for ur car, they'll overdo the security work self.. If u no settle, u and ur car are on ur own (Oyo).. Ur tires, side mirror etc will disappear, and if u ask anyone about it, u will hear ( se o fi somi ni) "did u tell me to secure it for u?
How about the term "leave am, na my person"?
If u setlle guys consistently, it's rare before harm will befall u in any part of Lagos, guys will always have ur back, trust me, this have saved many people from serious dangers.
Lastly any Lagos driver, motorcyclist,or trycyclist who hasn't insulted, cursed or fought another driver etc is either new in Lagos or is busy cruising around without a particular destination, or don't care if anything happens to his vehicle ( even the most holy pastors and Imams aren't left out)..

I'm no longer staying there and Naira has depreciated compare to when I was there..
I000 naira is now equivalent to 1000cfa..
I believe u can still see a house for 15000cfa monthly, their internet is normal u either subscribe to moov, glo or MTN network..
As for electricity, it's kinda high too depending on what u use, also they pay for water over there, I mean water bill

Benin Republic..
Schooled there, went there in 2010 and it cost me less that 1k naira to get there..
Travelled to and fro in space of 4 and half years, I also visited on different after graduating on different occasions till now.
Visited Nigerian embassy to Benin Rep, visited their National assembly, Biblioteque National (national library), broke their law by playing football at man bowl of their national stadium alongside fellow Nigerian students (thoough we were chased out by Gendarmes when we are about to round up), Watched as Nigeria won the 2012 African athletics championship with pride as I we sang to our national anthem.
Lived in their capital (Porto Novo) in places like Agbokou, Adjina, Avakpar etc..
Was able to learn a little french, club numerously in both Cotonou and Porto Novo, visited some of their beaches (Havannah and Littoral plage etc), had some escapades with their big tittted girls..

Visited Ghana on a field trip from school in 2012, Accra precisely, spent less than a week, we chattered a bus so I can't say the precise amount that got us there.

Went clubbing in Togo (Lome) sometime around 2013 or so.. Cost a thousand plus from Benin republic (Mille franc +)
