Hello everyone, kindly advise me on what to do.
My phone, Umidigi A5 Pro screen is having ghost touches and more often will not respond to touch unless you lock and unlock. I have to lock and unlock severally before I can type anything. It's really frustrating. The phone is nine months old but because of careful usage, looks like a month old phone.
Please what can I do to remedy the problem?

I will make a general answer since I cannot quote everyone, one by one.
Screen touch issues i.e ghost touches, mistouches and flickering touches as described by those here can be attributed to a few facts and it combines with our usage on most umidigi devices.
These errors I have discovered spans most legacy devices especially the midrange versions and that's that precipitation and moisture easily sips into the screen compartment of the phone, so sweat and water splashes easily gets in cos the glue used in holding the screen in place isn't well put together.
My Umidigi one still works well but unfortunately it screen literally fell off, and I think it's based on the fact that I swear alot, so the sweat Linda weakened the glue and one day the screen just fell out.
Had to take it to a tech guy to glue it back together. And since then it's been a sturdy device no worries whatsoever.

So my advice is watch the way u handle Ur device around moisture, especially when u're sweating and when u have water around Ur device.

I thought I was the only one experiencing it. You would have to lock and unlock the phone a million times before you could type anything. I did a factory reset thinking it would solve the problem rather it worsened especially with this last update. This is my second experience with unpopular brands, first was Innjoo and now Umidigi though Umidigi is relatively cheaper than the money I wasted on that Innjoo. My major reason of going for Umidigi was the Glo's 4G Band 28 & having 3 slots for dual SIM & SD card. I lost all my files on that reset yet the problem persists. Have I learnt my lesson, time will tell.

Just wasted 510MB of data to update A5 Pro, yet it wasn't Android 10. The worst part of it, is that I downloaded the first one and it failed to install. Had to download a second time wasting over 1GB of data to end up with same Android 9. E no give me joy at all.

Innjoo Fire Plus. My worst experience in phone. Screen stopped being responsive within 3 months and that was the end. It had a very nice camera though.

He's right. Those are the two major flaws of this phone. That's the phone I'm using right now. Been using it since August 2nd, 2019.
