Some aspects of evolution are factual. I do not accept the theory completely but to deny that some aspects of it are true is to not know what you are talking about. Transfer of genetic material is true. Mutation is true. Adaptation is true, evolution is based on some of these factual principles. The theory is full of supposition and hypothesis which I find unconvincing. But the theory is more important and usefull to human beings as opposed to creationism. Drugs and vaccines have been invented using the principles of evolution. Nothing has ever been created on the principles that God created man from dust and woman from man's ribs or that God spoke plants into existence using Hebrew.

I would have quit a long time ago if it was a myth. Im probably more skeptical than most of you.
Evev during the past centuries when science thought it got it right and the bible got it wrong, more findings have changed the position of science overtime to eventually confirm biblical accounts.
The Bible is not a science textbook and does not attempt to explain science to us, that job is meant for scientists, but based on their findings we can judge which religion is true.

So you cant possibly ask me to point out scientific findings in the bible.
You can only bring the findings and lets correlate.

As for man, Science has still not gotten fully where life or humans came from, maybe they'll get it in the next century. And trust me, It still wont be able to disprove the bible.

The bible is not a scientific book so I wonder why some of you keep going down the scientific route claiming that some scientific findings can be traced to the bible. Science and religion are two very different fields, they have very little in common. Science doesn't know how life came from but as for human decent genetics has helped us a lot to trace the human tree and if we came down from only one man and one woman as the bible claims, genetic markers can help us trace it, so far it shows that humans did not come down from only one man and one woman. In the bible other people also imagined and invented their own Gods, that is all there is to it about the existence of other Gods. Gods are man made ideas that is why there are many different Gods and religions. I have no belief as to the causality of the universe. I do not know, you claim to know that the universe was created by some entity the ancient Hebrews imagined, provide evidence to show that their assumptions and imaginations are true. You seem to be struggling with some issues, just the other day you opened a thread on how to know the true religion. Thats hypocritically contradictry to your "validity and invalidity" claims.

The idea behind the thread was to show that all religions are equally valid which the thread proved, no body could come up with any objective and testable proof to show us that his/her religion is true while the others are false.

Where exactly did you get your facts from, what did you read, who did you ask questions, who taught you? As appealing as the answers you got from these sources might sound, they sure will have a significant effect in your life.

Which holy spirit directs the christians to interpret the bible differently? I wouldn't want to sound as if am against Catholics but the one thing am sure of is that the truth about God and Christianity without hypocrisy is in the bible and you don't need anyone to reveal the deep things of God to you. You can know him on your own and have a personal relationship with him.
Check out the what Jesus told the Samaritan woman at the well in John 4 : 19-24.
Feed on his word and you can then go back in meekness and humility and ask your priests questions on things bothering your doctrine with what the bible actually says.

There is nothing like knowing God on your own through the bible, it is a big lie. If I bring a bible verse to you and bring another christian who is a genuine believer, chances are very high that the two of you will interpret the verse or story differently. That is exactly why we have so many different sects and denominations within the christian religion, because everything all boils down to personal interpretations.
