A woman can not get pregnant at 50. Women that are even reaching menopause at 45- 48 these days. At 50 a woman has stopped producing eggs and even if she does they are totally useless. Most of the women that get pregnant at 50 do so after freezing their eggs at an earllier age or through artificial insemination. Most can't not even keep the pregnancy because they mostly suffer miscarriage. You are the one that doesn't know what she's saying. A woman can not naturally get pregnant and give birth to a healthy baby at 50. The chance is less than 1% earlier I mistakenly said 5% after checking I saw that it's even less than 1%.

the main issue here is that, in Nigeria, people ARE NOT/CANNOT consider themselves happy unless they are married....while in the west, marriage is just marriage, and certainly NOT the benchmark for happiness.

Marriage is a benchmark for happiness the world over. Married couples have been shown by different studies to be happier, more fulfilled and live longer than single people. These are scientific studies not my opinion .

Ladies in the west want to get married at the same rate that their grand mothers wanted to, but it is the men that don't want to marry them. Ladies in the west still dream about marriage. Don't decieve yourself. It's just that the men see no reason to marry the ladies in the west because of many reasons. But ladies in the west still crave for marriage and see themselves as empty if they are not married and don't have kids.

Getting married and having kids is almost like a biological function to most women. It gives them satisfaction that most things can not.

Getting married is the number one goal of majority of women all over the world....a woman can have the whole wealth but if she is still single without a child, she will feel so unhappy and cheated by nature, it is not only applicable to Nigerian women but to all women of all races and it is not their fault, it is nature's making

Marriage and having kids is almost a biological function for women. I've seen a 37 years old white lady crying because she isn't married and doesn't have a child at her age. I've never seen a man do that ever! Japanese women are crying and complaining that Japanese men don't want to marry them or impregnate them. The women are seriously complaining while the men are just running away. It's it's not a problem to them they won't be complaining. Same in scandanavia.

We have rich ladies who still live miserably just because they are single at maybe 40 or 40something, it has nothing to do with financial lack....yes in Nigeria most ladies see marriage as short cut to end poverty and to flee from family sufferings....but not in all cases like he claim. There are rich, independent Nigerian ladies tired of being single and searching for genuine men to love and marry....to them, its not about money but love and companionship.

In China, rich single ladies do hire guys to act as their fiance's when visiting their parents during one particular festive period in China....I have an Australian lady, a bank executive who has been scammed severally by men; both Australian men and others, which made her turn to black guys before she fell again for Nigerian guys living in Malaysia....she was in total pains and was even considering suicide....I have countless of such encounters during my relationship counseling period but he is here talking thrash he pulled form his skull

Many women will give up some luxury just to have a family. It is almost biological to them. All these women that keep sending money to Internet lovers that keep defrauding them are doing it because they are lonely and unfullfilled. He should come here are see how senior ladies (35 and above) are hustling for guys to either marry then or give them children. They'll even pay for it.

The family unit in the west has totally broken down. They can't even live with each other anymore. 50-60% of their marriages each year end up in divorce.

The existence of evil clearly shows there is no God that cares anywhere. Take for instance the killing of the over 200 people in Plateau state few weeks ago. Some of them were worshipping and praying inside the church while the fulani herdsmen came and killed them. If we are to go by what the Bible says and assume that it is true, then their God was there with them and allowed it to happen under his watch because according to the bible, "where two or 3 are gathered in my name, I am there with them". Since all of them were gathered in his name and he was there with them but allowed them to be slaughtered. It means he was happy to see that happen because no parent will allow his children to be slaughtered like that under his watch and Christians tell us that God is their father.

This singular action shows that either the God they worship is wicked aND was happy watching them being slaughtered or he doesn't exist.

I'll go with the latter because God remains an imaginary human idea.

I was born into an atheistic home too and I can argue that, even by your write up, that being born in a religious home and an atheistic home are both very different things.

In a religious home you are forced to believe in god. Religious parents beat, starve, torture and can even disown their children for not attending church or mosque whereas in an atheist home you learn to view things with skepticism and like you mentioned your father made you read on such topics.

As an atheist parent the only thing I do for my kids is make them question whatever belief they pick up from society and research on those topics.

As an atheist I don't force my children to be atheist. Religious people foce their kids to be religious just like them. My two daughters are Christians even though am an atheist. My wife is now much less religious than she used to be(she hardly attends church maybe it's because we are now living outside Nigeria ). My daughters are much less religious than I was when I was their age cos our up bringing is quite different. But over all atheist are more liberal and don't force their beliefs on their kids like Christians.

My home was atheistic when I arrived in it. Though both had Bibles, neither parent went to Church or prayed at the time, as they were too busy learning and earning their way. Ma was a nurse. Double pay on Sunday was more important than Church. And Pa a lawyer, was prepared to reason any illogicality out the park. You mentioned ordinary Father Christmas and you'd get books to read on the topic!

I was introduced to God when I arrived in Nigeria. Everyone did God! It was alien to me, but going to Church was the only way to get out of the house on a boring Sunday. So I became a church junky and reading the Bible just became the next logical step being that I am a reader anyway. What else after all does one do when the transformer in front of the house blows up and we got no power for three months. I began to understand how people around me reasoned when all my mates swore blind that oyinbo rats talk.

I think being born into an atheist home is similar to being born into a religious home except your ideology would be atheistic as opposed to religious. You get taught the path you should trod, and only the brave depart from it.
