Here is a post which is going to give you the complete Manchester United 2018/2019 English Premier League (EPL) Fixtures/schedule. This list is to help all those who will not want to miss any of the Red Devils matches in the upcoming season. Manchester United will kick off the 2018-19 Premier League season at home to Leicester. Jose Mourinho’s bid to win his first title with the club begins against the 2016 champions at Old Trafford. The United manager is determined to mount a genuine title challenge to Manchester City this season and knows he cannot afford to give up any ground early on in the campaign. He has been boosted by a relatively kind start, which sees his side face only one of last season’s top six – Tottenham – in the first eight games. United take on City for the first time on November 10 at the Etihad – and they host Pep Guardiola’s side at Old Trafford March 16. United travel to Liverpool December 15, with the return tie February 23. Mourinho will hope for a similar start to last year when United led the way early on, winning six of their first seven league fixtures. And he will be confident United can burst out of the blocks with games against Leicester, Brighton, Burnley, Watford, Wolves, West Ham and Newcastle in the opening weeks. United have already began their rebuilding ahead of the new season – signing Diogo Dalot from Porto for £17.4m and agreeing a £52m deal for Brazilian midfielder Fred. Drug Addict Pours Hot Water On Mother, Says He Has No Regret..Man Arrested After Third Attempt To Kill Mother Fails Musa Umar of Okada Road, Minna, Niger State, has allegedly poured hot water on his aged mother. Umar was arrested yesterday by the officials of the state Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC). The NSCDC told our correspondent that the 35-year-old suspect, who was on the run for causing grievous bodily injury to his mother by pouring boiling hot water on her, was apprehended by neighbours and handed over to men of the corps. The suspect was believed to always be under the influence of alcohol, believed to be the banned ‘tontolin’ and sometimes cannabis. Umar, however, did not show any sign of remorse for his action. “I actually poured the hot water on her without any genuine reason. I am ok, I don’t regret it,” he said during interrogation. It was learnt that Umar had attempted to kill his mother twice by hitting her with stones and stabbing her with knife. Confirming the arrest, the state NSCDC Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Yahaya, said at the end of investigation the suspect would be prosecuted. Yahaya added that the mother, Mrs. Umar, who was still on admission at an undisclosed private hospital, was responding to treatment. http://kikiotolu.com/drug-addict-pours-hot-water-on-mother-in-minna-says-he-has-no-regret/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 Dominique Fynestboi Ishilove

The Chairman of Board of Trustees, BoT, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Walid Jibrin, has said that there is no plan by the party to change its symbol, the umbrella. He also said that the party’s slogan, “Power to the People” will not be tampered with, adding that any proposal on that will be turned down. Senator Jibrin, who said this in a statement issued in Kaduna yesterday, also vowed that the BoT of the party will stand resolutely against the persecution of its members, including former governor in the name of fighting corruption. Jibrin said, “The BoT is ever ready to stand against any plot to frame PDP leaders, including serving governors, past ministers, past governors and all members. “Please keep the umbrella and our slogan ‘power to the people’ very intact,” he added while congratulating the national chairman of the party “for working hard towards making the party stable.” He also revealed why members of the new BoT have not been constituted, saying it was because the party wanted to meet with the requirement in the amended constitution of the party. The BoT chairman said he is working very hard with the state chairmen and “our six national vice chairmen to bring forth very able, responsible, experienced and respected members into BoT. “Once the exercise is concluded, the new BoT members and already existing members will now be inaugurated,” he stated. http://kikiotolu.com/2019-pdp-speaks-on-changing-symbol-slogan/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 Dominique Fynestboi

The Rivers State Chapter of All Progressives Congress, APC, says Governor Nyesom Wike has turned himself into a “Father Christmas” who shares money at will”, just as the party expressed worry over what it described as the Governor’s penchant for alleged misappropriation of Public funds. The APC added that it has confirmed that Governor Nyesom Wike intends to clear salaries owed Civil Servants in Ekiti state. APC in a statement obtained by DAILY POST and signed by its spokesperson, Chris Finebone claimed that governor Wike, has concluded plans to pay off six months’ salary arrears the government of Ekiti State is owing its workers ahead of the forth coming governorship election in that state. Finebone says the planned clearance of salaries owed by Fayose comes against a decaying secretariat complex where Rivers State civil servants endure untold inconveniences every working day. According to the statement, “Indeed, it comes against the suffering of pensioners owed several months of gratuity and pension. Paradoxically, even political appointees of Gov. Wike are enduring untold hardship, suffering and smiling except for the select cabal popularly referred to as Cardinals. “The APC recalls that after the defeat of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the 2015 presidential elections, Gov. Nyesom Wike effectively took over control of the party nationally and has since been spending billions of naira belonging to Rivers taxpayers to sustain the PDP. “Sadly, we recall that Gov. Wike spent several billions of naira to hold an ill-fated national convention of the party in Port Harcourt in May, 2016. Afterwards, Wike single-handedly sustained the PDP with billions of naira belonging to Rivers people throughout the period the party was under the leadership of Markarfi-led caretaker committee. “Gov. Wike it was who used the resources of Rivers State to fund the protracted legal tussle between the caretaker committee and its factional group led by Senator Ali Modu Sheriff. “Following the victory of the Makarfi-led caretaker committee at the Supreme Court, Gov. Wike, again, bankrolled the national convention of the party that followed in 2017 with Rivers State commonwealth. “This culminated in Wike decimating and silencing the South-West and other leaders in PDP to successfully capture the national structure of PDP by installing his acolyte and stooge, Prince Uche Secondus as the party’s national chairman. “Quite sadly, we note that the decision of Gov. Wike to pay outstanding six months salaries owed to Ekiti State civil servants is coming as part of Wike’s inordinate desire to maintain his position as the leading financier and national leader of PDP. “Whereas other PDP governors are busy developing their states and bettering the standard of living of their people, Gov Wike remains consumed by the obscene and inordinate craving to continue as the little god of PDP. “While no one begrudges him the pursuit of his vane glory, the bitter truth is that Gov Wike is fritting away resources that should be channelled at bettering the lot of the ordinary Rivers people. “We find it hard to believe that a governor that came into office and immediately discontinued and returned Rivers youths on overseas scholarship on account of lack of funds, finds it convenient to playFather Christmas for purely political reasons. We ask: why is it that other PDP governors of equally oil-rich Akwa Ibom and Delta States are not throwing the commonwealth of their people at sustaining and controlling the PDP? “Again, we recall that in his bid to take advantage of the killings in Benue State some months ago, Gov. Wike doled out N500m to Benue State with the sole aim of luring Governor Ortom to join the PDP. “The APC calls on Rivers people to protest the decision of Gov. Nyesom Wike to, once again, embark on this senseless and atrocious decision to spend billions of naira belonging to Rivers people to pay six months outstanding salaries of Ekiti State civil servants while the workers and people of Rivers State are suffering poverty, indignities and penury.” http://kikiotolu.com/wike-planning-to-pay-6-months-salary-arrears-owed-ekiti-workers-apc/

A political pressure group under the aegis of Ekiti Recovery Movement(ERM), has asked Mr Ayodele Fayose to account for how he spent a whopping sum of N251.99b being the amount that accrued to the state as federal allocation and Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) under his reign. The group, which accused the Governor of misappropriating the said sum, also asked him to explain the true wage bill of the state, which he claimed was N2.6 billion instead of N1.8 billion allegedly contained in all the documents from the office of the Accountant General of the State. The group advised Ekiti electorate to vote massively for the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Dr Kayode Fayemi in the July 14 election, regretting that the state has lost its values under the present government. Addressing a press conference in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday, its Coordinator, Mr Olalekan Soyombo, said available statistics from the Federal Ministry of Finance revealed that Ekiti had received an aggregate of N223.99 billion as allocation in the last 43 months after tax and debt deductions, querying why Fayose had found it difficult to pay salary and pensions for the past eight months. Soyombo said it was so pathetic that the State has made an aggregate of N17.2 billion on an average of N400 million monthly under Fayose as IGR, lamenting that the governor allegedly kept the accrual secret He said: “Putting the IGR and federal allocation together in the last 43 months, the PDP government has managed N251.19 billion, outside the Paris Club refunds, capital funds, 13 month budget support funds, excess crude oil among others that this government got under President Muhammadu Buhari’s government. “verifiable facts indicated that the state wage bill is N1.8b inclusive of political appointees on consolidated salary structure . This equals N77.4b only for 43 months. When you subtract the wage bill from the allocation and add to IGR, the state is left with N173.7billion. “If we may ask, what then is making the state government to deny civil servants and teachers their salaries and wages in spite of all these huge resources?” http://kikiotolu.com/explain-how-you-spent-ekitis-n252bn-group-tackles-fayose/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 Dominique Fynestboi Ishilove

A former governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko is set to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to re-join his former party, Labour Party (LP). It was reported that the former governor, who was elected as governor of the state on the platform of LP in 2007 and 2012 before he joined PDP in 2014, has concluded plans to dump the party, over his displeasure with the outcome of the convention that produced Prince Uche Secondus-led National Working Committee of the PDP last December. Mimiko, was said to be irked by the treatment meted out to him during the congress of the party by the Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike and governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state. Tribune Online reports that the defection of the former Ondo governor was confirmed by his close political ally. He said “Mimiko will formally join LP on Thursday, June 14, 2018, though I am not authorised to announce this but I can confirm to you that Mimiko will dump PDP any moment from now. “The former governor would make his intention known at his political ward in Ondo town on June 6 before the state declaration billed for June 14 ahead of the 2019 general elections. “We have been having series of meetings at Oga’s(Dr. Mimiko) residence in the last few months where he informed his supporters across the state about his movement to Labour Party. “He is expected to meet his people in Ondo at the ward level on June 6 and intimate them of his imminent defection and by June 14, all things being equal, he will make his official declaration at the state level. “It will interest you that people in the 18 local government areas of the state, including some of his aides and political appointees, have shown their readiness to join him to move to the party,” the newspaper was told. http://kikiotolu.com/former-ondo-gov-mimiko-set-to-dump-pdp-for-labour-party/

The Kolapo Olusola Campaign Organisation (KOCO) the campaign organization of the Ekiti state deputy governor and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Prof Kolapo Olusola has told the governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, to face governance in his state instead of “wasting public funds” on the Ekiti State governorship election, which it said the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Dr. Kayode Fayemi can never win. The campaign organization, which described Governor Akeredolu’s coming to Ekiti to market Fayemi as “a failure advertising another failure,” reiterated that “Ekiti is not a state to be taken by force and annexed to Ondo State by anyone. We have never served a foreign god and we are not going to start now.” KOCO insisted, in a statement issued on Monday by its Director of Media and Publicity, Lere Olayinka, that the Ondo State governor must be held responsible for the alleged invasion of Ekiti State with thugs and over 150 armed policemen on Friday, leading to the shooting at the APC secretariat and Ojumose area of Ado-Ekiti that left many people injured. Olayinka asked; “Is Governor Akeredolu now happy with himself that after he led thugs and armed policemen to Ekiti in support of Fayemi, nine people are in hospital, three in critical condition, including Hon. Michael Opeyemi Bamidele and Ekiti State is now in the news for negative reasons?” The statement read; “We wish to draw the attention of Nigerians to the involvement of the Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu in the plot by the APC to unleash terror on Ekiti and its people as part of the grand plot to forcefully take over the State, having realized that the party’s cannot regain power through the ballots. “Last week Friday, Governor Akeredolu mobilized over 150 armed policemen and several thugs from Akure, Ondo State to accompany the APC governorship candidate, Dr. Kayode Fayemi to Ado Ekiti, thereby throwing Ekiti State that has been peaceful since the advent of Governor Ayodele Fayose’s government into chaos. “The thugs were led by one Jacob Adebo (popularly known Idajo), who is the Chairman of the National Union of Transport Workers (NURTW) in Ondo State. This same Idajo was allegedly involved in the various attacks on Hon. Opeyemi Bamidele in 2014, especially on September 19, 2014 when his political movement, Bibiire Coalition was launched in Ado Ekiti. “These thugs brought to Ekiti courtesy of Governor Akeredolu were the ones that went on rampage at Ojumose area of Ado Ekiti on Friday, destroying canopies and chairs in front of the residence of late Prince Adegoke. One of the Teargas canisters fired by the policemen that accompanied the thugs hit a Taxi driver, Odeyemi Olumide badly injuring him. He is now receiving treatment at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, alongside others who were shot at the APC secretariat. “Backed by Governor Akeredolu, Idajo had early last month attempted to cause disharmony among drivers in Ekiti State by attempting a takeover of the unions by a dissident group. “It should be noted that the Ondo State Governor had reportedly boasted that he was ready to spend two months allocation of his State to ensure that Fayemi is imposed on the people of Ekiti, and we wish to ask what his interest is. “However, let it be said expressly that if he likes, he can deploy one year income of Ondo State to finance Fayemi’s election, it will lead to failure because Ekiti people cannot be bought by anyone.” While telling the Ondo governor to devote his attention and resources to restoring good governance in his state, Olayinka said; “Instead of devoting his time and resources to the Ekiti election, which Dr. Fayemi; his stooge can never win, shouldn’t Governor Akeredolu be concerned with at least, returning Ondo State to how he met it in 2017? Or does it gladden his heart that all the good things his government met in the State have been destroyed to the extent that pregnant women had to go on the streets to protest against the astronomical increase in the cost of delivery? “More than 15 months as governor, Akeredolu cannot boast of a single achievement in Ondo State apart from commissioning billboards. Yet, his priority is sponsoring thugs to Ekiti with millions of naira. “Workers are still being owed months of unpaid salaries, despite huge resources accruing to Ondo State from the federation account. Forinstance, workers at the State owned polytechnic, Rufus Giwa Polytechnic are being owed 10 months salary. “Also, in Ondo State under Governor Akeredolu, the farm of elder statesman, Chief Olu Falae and several other indigenes of Ondo State were attacked by herdsmen, while he looked the other way. “Therefore, Governor Akeredolu coming to Ekiti to market Fayemi is like a failure advertising another failure, it won’t work! “Let it be reiterated that Ekiti is not a state to be taken by force and annexed to Ondo State by anyone. We have never served a foreign god and we are not going to start now. “The governor should be reminded that this is Ekiti of 2018, which is under a competent leader, Ayo Fayose, not that of 2010 when he used his position to influence the Appeal court judgment in favour of Fayemi. “Therefore, it is our counsel that Governor Akeredolu should leave Ekiti people alone to choose their leader. He should face governance in Ondo State that has retrogressed since he assumed office.” http://kikiotolu.com/ekiti-2018-failed-governor-cant-sell-failed-candidate-to-ekiti-voters-pdp-tells-gov-akeredolu/

Surgeons who attended to ex-House member Hon. Opeyemi Bamidele after he was shot have removed 2 bullets from hsi body. Bamidele is now said to be in a stable condition after the five hour surgery. He was one of the 6 people who were hit when a mobile policeman opened fire in the direction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi at the party’s secretariat, Ado Ekiti. Fayemi was, at the time, surrounded by many party faithfuls including Bamidele. He and the other victims were rushed to the hospital. He immediately went under the knife to remove the bullets. One of the bullets was removed from his abdominal region and the other from his leg. The APC insisted yesterday that Friday’s shooting was all about eliminating Fayemi even as the police said it was a case of accidental discharge. But they said they have in their custody the policeman and a politician said to have taken him to the APC secretariat. The Nation gathered that Bamidele’s surgery was carried out by an eight man team including four consultants. It started at about 7pm and lasted till 12 midnight. Besides, Bamidele also received blood transfusion on admission to replenish the blood he had lost following the shooting. Bamidele’s media aide, Ahmed Salami, yesterday dismissed speculations that he was in coma. “Let me assure our supporters in Ekiti and other concerned Nigerians that Bamidele is not in coma. He has regained consciousness and is fast recuperating due to prompt and the intensive medical treatment he received thereafter. “It is true that Bamidele has passed through major surgeries and the bullets have been removed from his abdominal region and leg.” http://kikiotolu.com/hon-opeyemi-bamidele-wakes-up-from-coma-after-surgeons-remove-2-bullets-from-his-body-in-5-hour-surgery/

Nollywood actor Ramsey Nouah, has credited the ban imposed on a select list of top actors over a decade ago with giving birth to the wave of Nollywood movies in cinemas. Speaking to Pulse as part of the promotional tours for his new movie, Crazy People days ago, the ‘76 actor said the impact of the ban paved way for the cinema era being witnessed at present. “That’s the bridge between the Nollywood that we had and the new Nollywood, which is the cinemas,” he said while acting to the ban of actors better known as the G8, made up of Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Richard Mofe Damijo, Genevieve Nnaji, Emeka Ike, Ramsey Nouah, Nkem Owoh, Stella Damasus and Jim Iyke. Alleged to be charging exorbitant fees because they were the preferred names in the idnsutry at the time, the marketers decided to ban the actors from starring in a movie for one year, a decision that didn’t just polarise the industry but infuriated loyal fans. “So that bracket gave birth to the cinema. The cinema started and then we started making movies for the cinemas since the DVD market was beginning to think that they owned it [all] and could decide to turn someone’s life around,” Nouah, who shot to limelight over 20 years ago, said.“We just delved into it [cinema business] and as you can see, an alternative market. Now the DVD market is almost dead and gone. There’s so much piracy going on there. It’s not a regulated market so even if you make your big movies and you want to take it to DVD, it’s selling little or nothing,” he added. Also touching on being relevant on the Nigerian entertainment scene several years after making his debut, he said it is all about passion. “I love the art and I give it my all. So that has really helped, sailed me through and made me constant. And I go with the tide. I flow with the demography of the generation that has been from that time till now. It has really aided me a lot. And of course, as I said, because I am passion-driven, I go for very good jobs. I pick my characters and my script so I can stay relevant,” he enthused. http://kikiotolu.com/how-ban-of-g8-actors-births-wave-of-nollywood-movies-in-cinemas/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 Dominique Fynestboi Ishilove

The Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has reacted to the signing of the ‘Not Too Young To Run’ bill by President Muhammadu Buhari. Fayose said by signing the bill, Buhari should remind himself that he was “Too Old To Run,” hence he should vacate the office of the President for the youths. In a series of tweets, the governor said the country needs to be “totally returned to the youths who own the future of Nigeria.” The tweet reads, “I commend the youths who championed the “Not Too Young To Run” agitation and urge them not to relent because it is not yet uhuru. “We must totally return the country to the youths who own the future of Nigeria. Here in Ekiti, if you are above 40 years, you can’t be LG councillor. “We must have a Nigeria where anyone who is qualified to vote can also be voted for, not this hypocritical signing of “Not Too Young To Run” Bill by the same President who said our youths are lazy and must not run against him in 2019. “Today in Ekiti, the PDP Deputy governorship candidate is 39 year old. He became chairman of Ado LG at 35. “On the contrary, the APC deputy governorship candidate is 74 year old. He was chairman of Ado LG 25 years ago. “The future of Nigeria belongs to the youths and we must handover the country to them without restrictions. “If at 18, you are old enough to choose, you must also be seen as old enough to be chosen. “Lastly, our President who signed the “Not Too Young To Run” should be reminded that at his very old age, he is also “Too old To Run.” He should leave the stage for the younger generation of Nigerians.” Recall that Buhari had yesterday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja signed the bill into law. http://kikiotolu.com/by-signing-not-too-old-to-run-bill-buhari-has-declared-he-is-too-old-to-run-fayose/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 Dominique Fynestboi Ishilove

MultiChoice Africa, has announced the take-off of its Talent Factory, MTF, to further boost the already flourishing creative industries in the continent. The Pan-African social investment initiative is a three-part initiative, which commenced with the launch of regional academy in Lagos, would also has academies in Kenya and Zambia. Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, held in Lagos, Wednesday, the Managing Director, MultiChoice Nigeria, Mr. John Ugbe, said the need to shift attention to the creative industry was vital, as the continent’s development had long been defined by investment in other industries, thereby neglecting the creative industry’s potential. “The African development story has long been defined by investment in the vast mineral wealth on the continent, leaving our creative industries to fend for themselves on the fringes of economic development for far too long. Ogbe said the launch of MTF forms part of the company’s new strategy of furthering this investment through creating shared value by using its core business resources, people, skills and networks to affect a positive change in society. According to him, being MultiChoice’s 25th year of operations in Nigeria, this project will concertize what it stands for as an organization, as it lays a foundation that will foster economic growth for tomorrow’s leaders. Speaking further, MutiChoice boss said the MTF initiative would deliver three touch points; the MTF academies, Masterclasses and the MTF Portal. The first to be launched is the MTF Academy, a 12-month educational programme, aimed at furnishing 60 deserving, young and talented people who want to work and earn a living in the film and television production. Also, speaking at the event, award-winning film maker, Femi Odugbemi, who is MTF Academy Director for West Africa, said “We must consciously build capacity so that our next generation film makers and producers can also create wealth and create employment by being entrepreneurs as well.
