NYSCNYSC DG Laments Poor State Of Facilities In Orientation Camps by dammy13(op): 5:27am On Apr 05, 2018
Director-General, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig-Gen. Suleiman Kazaure on Wednesday expressed concern over what he called the dilapidated state of facilities in many orientation camps across the country.

Speaking at the opening of the 2018 Batch ‘A’ Pre-orientation Workshop, held in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, Kazaure said that facilities in many of the orientation camps were nothing to write home about.

He, however, commended the Oyo State Government for what he said was its continued support for the NYSC through the provision of standard orientation camp, located in Iseyin, and its routine maintenance.

Kazaure also said that the provision of an enabling environment for the operations of the scheme in the state was commendable.

He said that the law establishing the NYSC scheme placed the responsibility of provision and maintenance of orientation camps on state governments.

Kazaure while speaking further reiterated his call on stakeholders to live up to their statutory responsibility through provision of necessary facilities at orientation camps so as to make the scheme more effective.

He said, “Permit me to use this occasion to remind all stakeholders that the law establishing the NYSC scheme places the responsibility of provision and maintenance of orientation camps with the state governments.

“On this note, I wish to reiterate our call on them to live up to this statutory responsibility. This call has become necessary in view of the dilapidated state of the facilities in many orientation camps.”

He said that the workshop, with the theme: “Achieving the NYSC mandate through an effective orientation course,” was aimed at evaluating previous orientation exercises with a view to mapping out strategies for the successful conduct of the forthcoming one.

He added that the workshop would set the tone for the 2018 Batch ‘A’ orientation course, through the formulation of policies and operational guidelines for all players involved in the conduct of the exercise.

Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo state who was represented by his Deputy, Mr. Moses Adeyemo while declaring the workshop open, acknowledged the pivotal role of orientation exercise in igniting the interest of corps members to render service to their fatherland, being their first point of contact to the scheme.

Ajimobi described the idea of holding periodic review of the NYSC programmes as a step in the right direction.

As a keen watcher of the scheme, Ajimobi expressed happiness that NYSC had continued to live up to the dreams of its founding fathers by grooming youth in the service of the fatherland.

He said, “I am delighted to equally note that the present management of the scheme has made giant strides in making the scheme respond to the dynamics of the society.

“I, therefore, call on the management to consolidate on the many operational innovations it had started.

“Pursuant to the desire of the Oyo State Government to enable the scheme actualize its lofty objectives, we have stepped up efforts geared towards improving the welfare of corps members serving in the state.”

These, he said, include payment of the corps members’ monthly allowances and provision of necessary assistance to the secretariats for the smooth conduct of orientation courses, among others.

SportsWhy Ronaldo Is On Same Level With Pele, Maradona – Buffon by dammy13(op): 2:31pm On Apr 04, 2018
Juventus goalkeeper, Gianluigi Buffon has likened Real Madrid’s star, Cristiano Ronaldo to Pele and Diego Maradona.

He stated this after the Champoins League match between his side and Madrid, on Tuesday night, at Allianz Stadium, Italy.

Ronaldo scored a brace in Los Blancos’ quarterfinal first-leg win over the defending Serie A champions.

The second was a brilliant overhead kick, that left Buffon stranded.

Speaking with Mediaset after the match, the Italian international applauded Ronaldo for his brilliance.

According to Buffon, Ronald has helped his club to achieve much sucesses, a stride he says equates him with the likes of Pele and Maradona.

He said, “Once again today, we’ve all seen what Ronald is, he always has been an incredible footballer who, together with [Lionel] Messi, are inspiring their sides to the greatest successes.

“This means that Ronaldo’s value has to be compared with the likes of Maradona and Pele

“He’s one of those players who can have such a huge influence over the number of games and titles their sides win.

“We’re really disappointed because probably we’re not going to make it through now, and this is a huge regret, but it’s also true that when you face opponents like these, you’ve just got to be able to acknowledge that they simply are too good.

“When you’re playing against incredible players, it’s not like you’re making mistakes, when they score so many, you may just be a little bit less precise at times but when you face the best, these things can happen.

“We’re talking about players who can score 500 goals in 10, 12 years of their career.”

PoliticsFG Warns Nigerians Over Imported Rice by dammy13(op): 7:36am On Apr 03, 2018
The Federal Government has warned Nigerians against consumption of imported rice smuggled into the country.

Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, issued this caution during a media briefing in Lagos on Monday.

Mohammed said the government could not guarantee the healthy status of the rice, having spent months on the high seas and warehouses.

He appealed to Nigerians to complement the efforts of the government by consuming only locally-grown and processed rice which he said “is fresher, tastier and healthier’’.

“We don’t know where or how imported rice is made or how old it is. It is reported that most of the rice dumped on us are old and probably rejected. The citizens of those countries do not eat this rice. The citizens of Benin Republic also do not eat it. But they send it to us.

“Unhealthy foods are dangerous to our health. So, let’s eat what we can vouch for,” Mohammed said.

Mohammed said smuggled rice was primarily sourced from Thailand and India and came into Nigeria through the country’s borders with Benin, Niger and Cameroon.

“In Benin Republic, the total demand for white rice (white rice is consumed in Benin, against parboiled rice in Nigeria) is 400,000 MT. Yet, the country with a population of about 11 million imports between one million and 1.2m MT of rice annually,” he said.

“Who are they importing for? Nigerians, of course. In fact, as Nigeria’s rice import falls, Benin’s rice imports increase. Most of the parboiled rice imported by Benin eventually land in Nigeria through smuggling,” he added.

The Minister added that smuggled rice costs between N11,000 and N13,000 per 50kg bag, while Nigerian-processed rice sells for between N14,500 and N15,000 per 50kg bag.

PoliticsEkiti 2018: Senator Raji-rasaki, Fayose’s Ex-deputy, Others Dump PDP For SDP by dammy13(op): 7:14am On Apr 03, 2018
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has lost a former deputy to Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State, Bisi Omoyeni, a senator representing Ekiti Central, Mrs. Fatima Raji-Rasaki, and a former Secretary to the Ekiti State Government, Dare Bejide, to the Social Democratic Party, SDP.

They said their resolve to dump the PDP was because of Fayose’s imposition of his deputy, Prof. Kolapo Olusola, as the anointed candidate of the party for the July 14 governorship election in the state.

They attended the stakeholders’ meeting of the SDP on Monday in Ado Ekiti.

Omoyeni, a former Managing Director of Wema Bank, was in the meeting in person, while the former Nigerian High Commissioner to Canada, Bejide and Raji-Rasaki, were represented by Mr. Yemi Arokodare and Chief Titi Oluwatuyi, respectively.

Omoyeni told the stakeholders not to fear because nobody could intimidate them.

“This party was established by divine creation and it has become the third force. Be rest assured that our people are coming en-masse to this party.

“Any support the party needs to occupy Oke Ayoba (government house) we will render it.

“Most of the aspirants who are still slugging it out in other parties are coming here.

“In fact, 70 per cent of the members of the PDP in Ekiti are moving to the SDP,” he said.

Addressing newsmen, the SDP National Publicity Secretary, Yemi Akinbode, who led other National Working Committee to the meeting, said it was called because of the Ekiti election which he said was strategic to the party.

“This is the first meeting after the inauguration of the interim state working committee of the SDP, because the election is fast approaching and we have little or no time on our hands.

“The leadership of the party at the national level mandated me and others, including Prof. Tunde Adeniran to come to Ekiti State to quickly put together the stakeholders’ meeting to explain to them the vision, programmes as well as the structure of the party and our expectation in the coming governorship election in Ekiti.

“You can see that this is the first meeting and the attendance was good. People are already coming out who ordinarily will not have shown their faces. This is an indication that this is the party to beat.

“It is instructive that those sending representatives are already here. Bisi Omoyeni is here by himself. That is to show that he is here with us.

“Ambassador Dare Bejide and Arokodare are here and that is to show that more people are still coming and that is an indication that the house that is divided against itself can’t stand and that is to show that the PDP is in trouble.

“Our doors are still open to members from other parties who are willing to join the moving train . Our goal and objective is to win the governorship election in Ekiti come July 14 ,” he said.

RomanceI Married My Lover Despite Her Health Issues, Today She Is The Strongest Woman by dammy13(op): 8:31am On Mar 16, 2018
I wish to write about my relationship start up with my wife someday.

I saw her, I love what I saw and I went for her.

After things started getting serious and beautiful. I planned a move to surprise her and had told her to meet me at a quite place. I was going to propose to her. Before then I had the conviction that she is the one. It was in the night.

Not long she showed up, there were so much of ‘beautiful exchanges’ while we continue to get along, she decided to head up first, I was so interested to hear her talk about things. The love was new!

My heart discontinued when she broke it to me that she was an asthmatic person and not only that, she was always having this frequent chronic stomach pain that had lasted for 7 years. I remained numbed while she tried telling all, my eyes went blur. Those unwanted water busted to made it so. I could not hide my feelings, she told me she was sorry. “Don’t be” I replied. Apparently, she must have seen my love for her burning right inside my eyes. Our meeting had to be discontinued, it was an unpleasant news to deal with. Something inside me said it won’t work. She is going to be a liability. She left first without saying goodbye. That walk home was the longest ever. I cried like a scrawny. That was March 12, 2012.

I prayed about it. I’m not that kind of spiritual holy brother. I only told God why he had allowed me to love someone this much just to make me feel hurt. It was more of ‘charge-prayer’ than a plea. As it is written: God is love, love is God! If it be so, then let love lead

In the morning around 6am, I’d walked about 300m to her place. she woke up to my marriage proposal. One of this days, I will share everything I said to her. It was a “YES” I took it upon myself to come over fear, it was my toughest, greatest and forever the best decision I had taken ever.

She lived with it ( we both lived with it) and i saw it as part of my new life. Not a few who also will read this that rally round for us know what I’m talking about. It was always an unpleasant experience. We got married 2015 Jan 7th after a long wait. Late that year I went to serve in Abia state when I suddenly remember my wife’s health situation having seen someone losing her breath during a March-past. I made a call right away to check on her, and also having failed to ask for while concerning her health and when last she had experience the asthmatic attack. Her reply was beyond belief, she told me the last time she had both the chronic stomach pain and the asthmatic attack was days before our wedding. As at then when I asked, it was 10 months. That is, she didn’t experience any of the pains for 10months.

As I write, it’s 3years and its all gone. Gone forever!

There were somethings she was restricted not to do, not to eat.. That is not the same any longer. Things have changed. And I love it now when she fry me plantain, she couldn’t do that before! It was our first miracle after wedding. Love healed us. God who is also love changed her story.

You see, Those things which are yours, do not lose. People may not look so good, who knows you may be the missing puzzle needed to make their life complete.

Thank you for reading!

PoliticsMy Deputy’s Victory Will Be Easiest In Nigeria’s Political History – Fayose by dammy13(op): 8:50am On Mar 15, 2018
The Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, on Wednesday boasted that the victory of his deputy, Prof Kolapo Olusola in the July 14 governorship poll will be the easiest in the history of the country.

Fayose said his strong political ties with Ekiti electorate and his performance as a governor would make the victory easy for the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The governor also said his government had achieved so much in the area of education owing to the fact that all critical stakeholders in the sector were in collaboration with government, assuring that Olusola would not deviate from the policies he had instituted in the sector.

Though, the PDP has not conducted its primary, the governor has anointed Olusola as his preferred candidate, which had pitted him against the Minister of Works, Dayo Adeyeye, Senator Biodun Olujimi and other contenders in the party.

Fayose spoke in Ado Ekiti during an interaction with stakeholders in education sector, which included Parents Teachers’ Association (PTA), teachers and the workers in the Ministry of education.

At the occasion, Fayose was invested as the Grand Patron of National Parent Teachers’ Association of Nigeria, Ekiti chapter.

Fayose, who officially presented Olusola to the stakeholders said: “Deputy governor Olusola’s victory will be easiest in the country’s political history, because I have not deviated from the ideals that people considered to bring me back in 2014.”

He said Ekiti was ranked 35th when he came in NECO in 2014 and that he has been able to bring the result to first position in 2016 and 2017 through series of motivations for teachers.

“But let me say this, your victory is not in the hands of politicians, I have even told those around me. It is in the hands of Ekiti people, I mean the electorate.

“Ekiti people are very resolute people. If they say they don’t want you that is the end. If they like you, you will see it. If they hate you, they won’t hide it, so you can see that they like me with the way they have been relating with this government.

“You will see how they will help you on the day of election. You will see how they will vote and stand by their votes”, Fayose said.

Assuring his deputy that the victory had become a task accomplished, Fayose said: “Don’t worry yourself about your victory, you had already
won.”

“What you should concern yourself with is how to lead this people the way I have been doing”, he said.

Fayose advised the federal government to forget about shame and partisanship and come to Ekiti and learn how he had been able to overcome the menace of herdsmen and how the state had been coming first in public examinations like NECO.

“These APC government is devilish. They said they have routed Boko Haram but they kept killing people on daily basis. They should forget about enmity and come to Ekiti and learn the proper art of governance”, he said.

Earlier, the PTA Chairman in Ekiti State, Mr Samuel Adeola Osadare, promised that all the stakeholders will continue to partner with the government to make Ekiti the cynosure of all eyes in the education sector.

PoliticsEkiti Workers Kick Against Planned Anti-buhari Rally by dammy13(op): 7:02am On Jan 28, 2018
Workers in Ekiti State have kicked against an alleged plan to coerce them into a public protest against President Muhammadu Buhari and his administration.

They claimed that the rally was planned to protest against the alleged stoppage of the N1.3 billion monthly Budget Support Fund (BSF) by the Federal Government with effect from December 2017.

BSF is a fund set aside by the Federal Government to assist the 36 States of the Federation in the payment of workers’ salaries.

A section of the state work force, the Enlightened Workers Forum (EWF) condemned alleged moves to drag civil servants into a public protest scheduled for Monday, January 29.

EWF in a statement on Saturday by its State Coordinator, Mr. Mike Bamidele, accused the state Trade Union Congress (TUC) Chairman, Comrade Odunayo Adesoye, of being the arrowhead of the plot to recruit and draft workers into the rally. Bamidele said workers are apolitical and non-partisan and should not be dragged into politics under whatever guise.

Responding, the Trade Union Congress (TUC) Chairman in Ekiti State, Comrade Odunayo Adesoye, has denied being part of the plan to stage a rally against the alleged stoppage of Budget Support Funds (BSF) to the Ayo Fayose administration.

Adesoye who spoke in a telephone chat with The Nation, described the Enlightened Workers’ Forum (EWF) which made the allegation as a “faceless group.”

PoliticsHouse Of Rep Ask IG Of Police To Arrest Globacom CEO, Mike Adenuga by dammy13(op): 12:41pm On Jan 26, 2018
The Inspector General of Nigerian Police, Ibrahim Idris, has been urged by a federal House of Representatives ad-hoc panel to arrest the chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of Globacom Nigeria, Mike Adenuga.

According to TheCable, the billionaire businessman was accused of “repeatedly” failing to honour the invitation of the panel, which is investigating operational activities and services of telecommunication companies in the country.

It was gathered that at its sitting on Thursday, chairman of the panel, Ahmed Abu, described Adenuga’s “refusal” to appear before the lawmakers as an “affront to the legislature”.

He said: “A situation where the parliament will invite an agency or organisation and then it won’t come, then we’re going nowhere.

“Some people feel they are too big; that they are above the law. I’m making reference to Mr Mike Adenuga, the chairman of Glo.

“The amount of disrespect he has for the parliament is unacceptable. Yes, he’s a billionaire, but that doesn’t mean anything. Anybody can be a billionaire in the right atmosphere.”

He said from available documents to the panel, Glo owes the federal government a total of N16.7 billion.

“The committee hereby resolves that an arrest warrant be issued against the chairman of Globacom. I want to put things on record. I’m going to make direct statement to EFCC and ICPC. This is a man you should go after.”

Speaking earlier, Abdulrahman Shuaibu, a member of the panel, moved a motion that an arrest warrant should be issued against Adenuga.

He said Ibrahim Idris, inspector-general of police, should be asked to produce the Glo CEO on February 15.

Crime3-week Old Baby In Coma After Father’s Hot Slap by dammy13(op): 9:09am On Jan 17, 2018
A 32-year-old man identified as Edet Asuquo, has fled his home in the Idi Araba area of Lagos State after he nearly killed his 3-week-old baby, Gift Asuquo, with slap.

Edet, who did not want a girl child, was alleged to have said he didn’t see her usefulness and threatened to kill her.

According to Punch, Edet and the baby’s mother, Rosemary Kingsley, both indigenes of Calabar, Cross River State, were only dating when the woman became pregnant.

Rosemary was reported to have packed into the suspect’s apartment on Ayinla Street after she was delivered of the baby.

Edet, a bus conductor, however, was said to have been angry that his lover gave birth to a girl and not a boy as he expected, which resulted in frequent disagreements between them.

The baby was reported to be hungry and was crying when the father allegedly slapped her.

She was said to have convulsed due to the severity of the assault and was rushed to a medical centre for treatment.

The hospital workers informed the Lagos State Office of the Public Defender of the matter, and the agency contacted the police at the Itire division.

But by the time the police got to the house, the suspect had ran away.

PoliticsFayose’s White Paper, Failed Desperation To Nail Fayemi, Says APC by dammy13(op): 4:09pm On Jan 16, 2018
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State has described Monday’s White Paper on the probe panel report on former Governor Kayode Fayemi’s administration as a desperate bid by Governor Ayodele Fayose to embarrass the former governor.

It described Fayose’s action as a failed desperation that “cannot stand the test of judicial scrutiny in both form and content”.

Fayose had set up a judicial commission of enquiry to probe Fayemi’s administration notably to unravel how Fayemi allegedly embezzled N852m SUBEB cash loan obtained from Access Bank.

Fayemi kicked against the composition of the panel in court, sitting partisanship of members who were allegedly PDP members and some civil servants that served under Fayose’s authority, which made their membership suspect to a fair hearing.

The Access Bank appeared before the panel to exonerate Fayemi, explaining that Fayemi never stole that but that it (the bank) took back the loan to its vault when the state government failed to firm up agreement on loan repayment.

Nevertheless, the panel turned in its verdict holding Fayemi culpable and, subsequently, Fayose raised a panel to come up with a White Paper, which yesterday banned Fayemi and his Commissioner of Finance, Dapo Kolawole, from holding public offices for 10 years.

But in a reaction by the Publicity Secretary, Taiwo Olatunbosun, the party described both the panel and White Paper as a kangaroo stunt to nail Fayemi, saying the verdict would not stand in the face of illegality that went into the exercise.

Olatunbosun described Fayose as “a man who cannot survive in a society where the law works”, regretting that even lawyers in his government failed to teach him some basic tenets of how law works in placing ban on Nigerian citizens to hold public office.

Olatunbosun said: “All Nigerians know that Fayose is recklessly lawless and cannot survive in societies where the law works.

“His so-called White Paper is not only laughable but also a disgrace to all Ekiti people home and abroad with the way that Fayose has taken ignorance, vendetta and debauchery to a ridiculous level because we knew all along that this is what Fayose wanted to do.

“We had expected his Attorney General, if he knows his onions, to have advised him that only a competent court of law can bar Nigerians from holding public office under the Nigerian Constitution.

“A situation where Fayose assembled PDP members and pliable civil servants as a panel with a strict directive to indict Fayemi at all costs and thereafter issue a White Paper banning him from holding public office cannot hold water in a society where the law works.

“With the way he is conducting himself desperately to stop Fayemi from holding public office, we are convinced that Fayose is seriously going through a political haemorrhage and therefore his resorting to political desperation and unconstitutional means to nail our leader and a serving Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by any means possible.

“Neither Fayose nor Ekiti State Government has the power to bar or prevent Dr Fayemi or any other citizen from holding public office but a competent court of law. Such wishful thinking cannot stand judicial scrutiny and we advert Fayose and his pitiable undertakers to read the Supreme Court judgment and Atiku Abubakar in similar matter.”

APC spokesman said that by his “so-called White Paper that cannot over-rule the Supreme Court judgment as a precedent, Fayose has demonstrated recklessness, lawlessness and display of executive rascality arising from his ignorance of the law, constitution and total disregard for the rule of law”.

He added: “It is now glaring that despite Fayose’s empty boasts daily that Dr. Fayemi is a paperweight politician who is not popular at home , the governor’s latest action has proved that the reverse is the case, as this barbaric action to halt the political career of a shining Ekiti star has shown that Fayemi is in league of nightmare Fayose has to contend with.

“It is an irony that Fayose who is supposed to be banned from holding public office because of the plethora of criminal and financial misappropriation cases hanging on his neck is the one unilaterally banning somebody who held public office as governor without any blemish and is currently holding that of a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and has performed excellently well as shown by the ‘Award of Public Excellence’ trophy bestowed on him by credible corporate organisations.

“We expect someone occupying such an exalted position of a governor like Fayose to be properly briefed and educated on the limitations of his powers as the head of the executive arm of government primarily to formulate policy and implement laws rather than interpreting the law and worst still, assuming the position of a judge in a matter involving him as a party.

“We are not going to lose any sleep over a biased political report by a panel of PDP members set up by a PDP governor for the purpose of framing up our leader as a way of settling political scores.

“This is executive recklessness and political rascality taken too far by Fayose and his kangaroo panel. We wonder where he got the power to bar a leading member of the opposition in a democracy.

“We wish to assure our party members and the good people of Ekiti State that the so-called White Paper recommendation by Fayose’s kangaroo panel is not worth more than the paper on which it is written and this shall be challenged in a court of law and we are confident that this shall be quashed because there is no legal precedent or basis for it in the history of our country.

“We also plead with Nigerians to bear with Ekiti people in this moment of our governor’s lawlessness that has negative implication for the integrity of Ekiti people in choosing their leader.

“We also wish to remind Fayose that his immunity will expire in October and must be prepared to resume trials on his many criminal cases, including those pending in various courts.”

Politics‘PDP Created More Poverty, Unemployment In Ekiti’ - APC Governorship Aspirant by dammy13(op): 8:49am On Jan 16, 2018
An All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Ekiti State, Mr. Kola Alabi, has said the high rate of unemployment in the state is “unfortunate and unacceptable”.

He promised to create jobs for the teeming youths with investment in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), solid minerals and agriculture, if elected APC candidate in its primary and governor in this year’s election.

The APC chieftain said his Nine-Point Agenda was carefully put together to get Ekiti out of the woods and improve the people’s standard of living.

He identified the components of the agenda as Education, Health, Job Creation, Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Development, Land Reforms, Agriculture, Infrastructure and Transparency in Governance.

According to him, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) administration created more poverty and threw many people into the labour market through its “harsh and anti-people policies”.

Alabi spoke on Sunday evening at his home in Ikere-Ekiti while hosting his supporters from the 16 local government areas at a New Year get-together.

The ICT entrepreneur said he would create a structure for job bureaux in every local government area to link job seekers with job opportunities.

He promised to leverage ICT as an enabler for jobs and incentives for investors to develop a Technology City in Ekiti State.

Alabi also pledged to offer tax incentives/refunds to organisations that create at least 100 new jobs every year.

The APC chieftrain pledged to launch a Small Business Loan Guarantee Scheme in partnership with commercial lenders to improve access to finance for SMEs.

He expressed confidence in winning the APC ticket at the April primary and the July 14 governorship election to provide quality leadership.

A White Paper released by Ekiti State Government has barred a former governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, from holding a public office in the state for 10 years.

The state also barred his former Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Dapo Kolawole, for the same number of years.

The duo were barred based on the report of the Ekiti Judicial Commission of Inquiry, which indicted them over alleged mismanagement of the state’s finances between October 2010 and 2014.

Fayemi, now a Minister of Mines and Steel Development, was the governor during the stated period.

The report declared them “as unfit to hold any public office in the state.”

PoliticsEkiti Must Look Beyond Federal Allocation ― Ambassador Ayodeji Ayodele by dammy13(op): 8:00am On Jan 15, 2018
A former Nigerian envoy to Greece and chieftain of Mega Progressive Peoples Party, Ambassador Ayodeji Ayodele, has decried the dependence of Ekiti State and many others on federal allocation for their economic survival and suggested the development of the agricultural sector for the sustenance of the state’s economy.

Ambassador Ayodele said while addressing the executive and members of Mega Progressive Peoples Party in Ado Ekiti, that Ekiti State had the potential to sustain its economy without relying on just federal allocation to ensure good governance.

He said “Ekiti does not have oil but we have fertile land for farming, which can give us better chance to compete with any other state. There is dignity in hard work to sustain yourself.”

Ayodele, who was conducting a tour of some council areas in the state, said development of agriculture was a sure way of lifting Ekiti out of its current poor economic state, addressing poverty among the populace and set the state on the path of prosperity.

He told the people that he was aspiring to govern Ekiti State on the platform of Mega Party of Nigeria and said he was aspiring to bring a government that would truly care for the generality of the people, especially the youth and the aged “and to reduce the effect of attendant poverty in the land.”

He charged the people to elect a candidate he said would govern the state with integrity, saying only Mega Party of Nigeria had such persons in its fold.

He called for support for the party in the July 14 election.

CelebritiesImdb Apologizes For Wrong Inclusion Of Funke Akindele Name Into Avengers Cast by dammy13(op): 4:03pm On Jan 14, 2018
If she was to appear, the fuzz would have started a long time before now. The filming of the movie is already over, so it wouldn’t be possible to fire her now!

The feature on IMDb was removed after a member of the cast of Jenifa’s Diary (Adewale Demehin, who played the role of Josiah the Cabdriver) messaged the help desk to tell them they must be have been a mistake somewhere.

The whole thing would have dragged down her (Funke Akindele’s) name down, just as much as it raised it up. And the Nigerian Media industry did not even bother to verify from her before publishing the news, everyone referred to IMDb, but no one went to ask aunty Funke.

IMDb sent a response to Adewale last night, informing him that they had taken it down, and apologized. They have also promised to launch an investigation to find out who included her name to the list.

Nigerians sha. See how you guys are blasting the lady, saying it’s her village people and such… Una doh o!

The whole thing probably started from an Irish dude named Kevin Anthony Carney. So, leave aunty Funke alone. Face the guy, he’s on Facebook. And don’t say, “why did she not come out to deny it…” Did any of you go to meet her to verify the info?
