Nairaland GeneralRe: A Special Message For A Special Friend by Damsal(f): 1:08pm On Jun 26, 2006
Well i must admit that i don't actually have a best friend or close friend.
i gave up on them since secondary school one person always managed to leave, mainly me beceause i moved about a lot but after my close friend died in secondary school i stopped having best friends and became a lone wolf. but i want to dedicate this to my old friends it's not an original poem so i din't make it up but i was moved by it and i hope if they heard this they would love it too.

It's nice when someone remembers you cheesy
It feels good when somone thinks about you smiley :-
and it feels even better when somone never forgets you kiss kiss

I miss you all. cry cry

I think this is hilarious grin grin. Did those people actually say that clearly when they were searching for wife's they didn't search in the right places. You can't tar every woman with the same brush.

RomanceRe: How Do U Know He/she Is Cheating On U? by Damsal(f): 4:01pm On Jun 24, 2006
eveseh:
when a man is cheating on u,(when he comes home u say darling, can i bring ya food,he'll say no,am Ok i have eaten.
the next day he comes home he's so tired anything u say ,is bad to him,
when u even touch him,he'll shout at u,
(so u will begin to get that feelings in u that something is going on because he aint used to act like that be4,

(u'll know what's up) wink
I thiink Eve has made a good point, but you can also realise that he is cheating on u if he comes home and treats you to gifts or decides to suddenly take you out, this can be obvious if it isn't his usual style the guys who usually conform to this style are those who have the tendedncy to feel gulity and try to make it up by being extremely nice.
RomanceRe: Ideal Man (for the women) by Damsal(f): 1:30pm On Jun 22, 2006
I have met lots of guys and realised that searching for the perfect man is just wishful thinking, also noting the fact that i can't fit all the categories a guy wants in an ideal woman.
I guess all i want in a man is someone who can make me happy, someone who can enlighten me and fuel my conscience not someone who everytime i see i wonder what the hell was going through ma mind when i decided to date him.
RomanceRe: How Soon Should I Start Dating Again by Damsal(f): 1:01pm On Jun 21, 2006
Personally I have always thought that the best way to get over a person was to get into another relationship, this way you think less of the ex and bring your focus and concentration into the present the only problem with this is that there's a possibility of you comparing both guys especially if you are still crazy about your ex which you obviously are. The thing is for you relate positivty to his death and question yourself, that if your husband loved you just as much as you did him would he want for you to be grieving over his death and wallowing in lonliness? (no) i'm sure he want's you to be happy so try to be and since he happens to be dead then you clearly aren't cheating on him (it was till death do you part, not till the ends of eternity)

And i don't believe that you being married and widowed would disturd guys, it would probably stun them but it would not put them off They are Guys for Goodness Sake since you are still young and beautiful as you said then you are definitely not going to be single for long.

RomanceRe: Worst Way A Guy Ever Tried To Chat You Up? by Damsal(op): 8:55pm On Jun 20, 2006
Well beyunce the guy and his sister happen to be my friend so him asking me out was quite surprising and then his sister making the move for him and actually claiming that she was sure i liked her brother was disturbing. I have a brother and would never chat up a girl for him.

And the guy saying i was just like his sister did not place a good image in my mind and that was why i was slightly offended.
RomanceWorst Way A Guy Ever Tried To Chat You Up? by Damsal(op): 7:44pm On Jun 20, 2006
I find it very disturbing that guys think they have to use chat up lines on girls to get their attentions. I once had a guy who was trying to get my opinion on having a relationship with him and after a few seconds loss of words he told me that i was just like his sister, how disturbing was that,  i was instantly turned off not that i was turned on at all.

and on another occasion i had another guy get my number from his sister and text me asking me to go out with him since it was a text, i could just pretend i did not recieve it and ignore it but the next day his sister called me and tried to ask me out for him that i also found quite disturbing. Are guys just uncomfortable or is it just me.

CRAYOLA:
Damsal, with all due respect I would accuse you of ignorance regarding your above post. Firstly even satisfied girls cheat on their boyfriends, the girls descrbed above do it mainly as a means of survival and to a lesser extent, greed.
It's okay taking blood tests, but you can't take test every week, can you? , and it is also very naive to think the amount of time e.t.c a girl spends with you will confirm her infidelity. Most girls can sleep with two brothers and none of them will suspect a thang my dear friend!
Satisfied girls? i don't think so if you had it all, what would you be searching for. When i said unsatisfied i meant both financially and sexually. I do not believe that it's the boyfriends duty to fulfil the financial aspect, or sexual aspect (as i am a christian) but to make up for that a lot has to be done.
And don't even say that you woudn't be aware if your girlfriend was spending more time with another even if they were brothers, there would be shifted attention and affection. That even in a crowded room would be obvious.
HealthRe: Exercise And Life Expectancy by Damsal(f): 11:43am On Jun 20, 2006
The amount of fat you carry in nigeria is actually to determine how wealthy or well fed you are. (or so i want to believe) Also the hectic lifestyle of nigerians keep many in shape e.g the girls who have to hawk things on the street.
Causing them to ignore the idea that exercise is necessary when they do it on a daily basis. Nigerian have not learn't the importance of excercise (that includes me) because many are of slim weight who consider excercise to be for people of a larger size.

The point is many nigerian's have not yet died from obesity and so many are not aware of the problems
RomanceRe: "runs Babes" The Happening Chicks On Campus: by Damsal(f): 11:26am On Jun 20, 2006
hey, i think a girl who goes around spreading love is clearly not satisfied her boyfriend should be to blame, but then again it's pretty obvious when a girl is cheating on you, what she says to you the way she reacts to you and the amount of time she spends with you will tell. And that's even what Amebo's are there for.

About Aids/Hiv the guys should take a bleeding blood test before you jump into bed with the first cheap hooker you come across just becasue she's pretty and young don't mean she's clean. Any one who catches something is to blame because there was always a chance of you preventing it why do you think they created condoms to decorate the bedside table?
HealthRe: Kidney Donor Needed Urgently <Too Late> by Damsal(f): 11:07am On Jun 20, 2006
tell me a little about him and where he lives also his blood type i might consider giving him one of mine i don't think i'm in great need of one.

RomanceRe: Is It True About Ladies. by Damsal(f): 11:02am On Jun 20, 2006
I guess that's a quite true about girls, but if you press the wrong button a girl would only spark if she's not crazy about you. If she is, there's always another chance.

And comparing girls to a cell phone boy get another anology, I personally believe that that's how guys view girl's like phones that have to be charged (sexually) and credit has to be bought into (spending money) and has to be changed as soon as a new model comes out. I think i'll find it more pleasing being compared to an Angel.

And about boy's i don't want to be biased but that is so freaking true "ti yen oba gba fi si le, obirin kun ta"
RomanceRe: "runs Babes" The Happening Chicks On Campus: by Damsal(f): 8:51am On Jun 20, 2006
Have you actually come in contact with one of theses 'babes' or did you just do a lot of research on them.

Anyway answering your question on if their marriages stand a chance of living long or die a quick death. I believe that after a while you grow up and stop wanting things you have always found interesting at one pont in your life. Theses girls grow tired of living double lives and look for husbands to settle down with, but theres a fifty/fifty percent chance that if the marriage becomes boring and cannot fuel her excitement then there's a possibility of her continuing her early days escapads. smiley smiley

FoodRe: Why Do Girls Have To Cook? by Damsal(f): 7:38pm On Jun 16, 2006
i understand what you mean svs, why do girls have to conform to the idea that it is ideal for them to do the cooking can't guys get of their lazy behinds and hit the kitchen. I'm the only girl and whenever i come home from college i have to start worrying about what the hell my brothers and dad have to eat because they all have the bright idea to wait for me to come home and cook, i've been cooking since i was 16 then it was fun now it's just hell, i have to sit in lessons and worry about the fact that there is no pepper at home or my dad wants to eat moi-moi when i have bleeding homework to do.
If marriage turns out to be anything like ths then i might have to pass on it.

RomanceRe: Good Job Or Good Wife: Which Is Harder To Find? by Damsal(f): 12:11pm On Jun 14, 2006
i personally think that guys who are searching for gals keep looking in all the wrong places. You do realise that there are thousands of gals in churches and in offices (those ones usually have jobs). Stop looking in places such as parties and night clubs, not that those girls are bad in anyway they might just really need that drink or want to dance, but a girl you find in a club four nights in a row you might want to over look. Actually i'd over look a guy i met in a club four nights in a row doesn't he have a life. undecided

And about finding a job being easier than finding a woman of course what do you think? we are humans with intellect, finding that right person who thinks on the same wave length as you do is not easy but finding a job in a particular area only requires you to reseach in that area. And about having kids out of wed-lock you might want to reconsider, i know a little girl who always cries saying that she wants her mum and dad to be a family again, do you know what future impact i'ts going to have on her and by the way she's only seven.
