1. The esan people (Edo central) have always been pro-PDP, come rain, come sun. It has never been divided. The Senator and all the house of reps members from Edo central are PDP.

2 Edo North has always been a strong hold of APC but with the fall of Oshiomole as APC Chairman, that place will be shared. As a matter of fact, the deputy governor (Phillip Shuiabu) has more influence in Edo North than Oshiomole right now. Don't forget that Oshiomole was suspended from APC in his ward, orchestrated by Philip Shuiabu. Oshiomole is on ground in his LG and he was suspended in his ward even as APC chairman?.

3. Edo south has always been pro-PDP. The only Senator from Edo south is PDP. 4 house of reps members represent Edo south, and 3 of them are from PDP. Only one is APC.

Majority of Benin people are behind Obaseki, not because he has really performed excellently, but because of their hatred for Oshiomole and the Lagos kind of god-father stunt he wanted to pull in Edo state.



See, Obaseki will defeat Ize-iyamu hands down. Infact, most Edo people feel it's an aberration for APC to be in Charge in Edo. It's just like saying PDP should be in charge in Borno.
