Politics / Re: Do Our Political Parties Have Ideologies? by DanjaNinja(m): 1:58am On Dec 04, 2019 |
mikezuruki: Interestingly, I had this same thoughts A couple of days ago. In summary, our political parties don’t have any ideologies. Ideologies usually originate from Philosophy, logic and a touch of pragmatism. Ours is nation where religion and culture reigns supreme. Original thinking and questioning the status quo is considered blasphemy. A nation without guiding ideologies and thinkers cannot grow. That’s why Nigeria is currently messed up - No guiding Ideologies. On a side note, why did you choose the Republican ideology? Do you live in America? The current republicans in the us are not really republicans but libertarians. The Original republicans had great intentions. The abolition of slavery, the reconstruction era as well as the new deal were largely Republican efforts. The current republicans(mostly libertarians) are a cancer to America. Their current ideolology of small government, the worship and preservation of capitalist at the expense of social fabric in addition to the subtle but visible believe in “all man for himself” is why America is where it is today. As for me, I have chosen to align with Democratic socialists cos I believe a nation is as strong as its weakest link. Also, capitalism if left unchecked would consume itself. 1 Like |

And your response was to hurl insults without providing any meaningful response or context. Smh. And the sad part, you don’t even live in America. You have no idea on the reality on ground, yet you have an opinion based on what? Ignorance? Smh. Na Poverty of the mInd Dey worry you. Biko go and buy fuel and charge your phone. 3 Likes |

Hi all, i hope you are all doing well. Please, i need help on how to advise two people who sought my counsel. Let's call them Ayo and Tunde. Ayo wants has a bachelors in political science and plans to do a masters in political science/any related degree in the us, as a stepping stone to eventually migrating to America. Tunde on the other hand, has a bachelors in Business Admin and also wants to pursue a masters degree in a related field as a means of eventually permanently living in america. Both guys want to use their education as means of eventually living in America. This is quite normal and does happen often. Thing is, i had a bachelors in Electrical/Elect Engineering from Nigeria and did my Masters in Computer Science here in the U.S. Let’s just say i’m Fortunate enough to be in a situation where I can work without needing a visa/authorization. Since i don't have any experience with Business admin, political science or working on h1b, i'm finding it hard advising these guys as i dont know how the job market as well as the visa for these major work in the us. Additionally, with the current climate where american companies are relunctant to hire international students (h1b issues), especially non stem based majors, what should i advise these guys to study? Should i advise them to switch to stem based courses as this would enable them more easily get jobs in the future or should i encourage them to continue with their current majors? Please note, the end game for these guys it to legally become us residents sometime in the future. What would you recommend? Thank you. 4 Likes 1 Share |

This is absolutely spot on and backed by actual research. I've been advising friends for a long time to give up microwave due to it's harmful effects. I stopped using it a long time ago. My initial fear was that heating up food would take longer. That turned out to be untrue. Heating up food with a regular pot turned ou t to be just fine and quick. 2 Likes |

Hi Everyone, i greet you all. Please i got a request for information on my I-485. I was told the NPC issued Attestation of Birth is not a sufficient substitute for a birth Certificate. I was born before 1992 and as such can only get an attestation of birth from NPC. Please, if there is anyone in the house who had similar experience, please let me know how you were able to resolve this issue. Thanks in advance. @blowjobs |

Politics / Re: UN Recognises Aba Women’s Riot On World Women’s Day by DanjaNinja(m): 2:08pm On Mar 08, 2018 |
Gone are those days when Integrity and a sense of community was alive. The women knew they had the power to effect change and they used that power wisely. What do we have today? The complete opposite. The average Naija babe would rather "Slay", watch big brother or focus on getting married. On how to make the nation better? How does that one concern her? Remember, evil thrives when good men/women do nothing. P.s: Dear Nigeria, you deserve your current situation. How can you improve when everyone is singularly concerned about themselves. It's so ingrained in our subconscious that we have a name for it - "I better pass my neighbor" 3 Likes |
