esdajo: House, this is the email I sent to the embassy on Monday after the experience I had during the interview when I was asked if I had applied before and the reason for the refusal and the way the Asian looking lady reacted and dropped my passport and said I was free to go:
DEAR SIR/MA,
SEQUEL TO YOUR LETTER DATED OCTOBER 30, 2014 REGARDING MY ABILITY TO RE-APPLY FOR A STUDENT VISA IF I SO WISH SINCE I WAS AND AM NOT UNDER ANY BAN WHATSOEVER DESPITE MY INTERNATIONAL PASSPORT BEING DECLARED NON-VISA COMPATIBLE AND THEREAFTER SENT TO THE NIGERIAN IMMIGRATION SERVICE.
I SECURED ANOTHER PASSPORT AND REAPPLIED FOR A NEW INTERVIEW DATE AFTER DEFERRING MY ADMISSION UNTIL SUMMER 2015. AS A MATTER OF FACT, I WAS AT THE EMBASSY TODAY AND I WAS INTERVIEWED BY THE ASIAN LOOKING LADY.
THE INTERVIEW WAS RATHER INTERACTIVE BUT WHEN SHE ASKED IF I HAVE EVER APPLIED TO ANY SCHENGEN COUNTRY FOR A VISA? I RESPONDED IN THE NEGATIVE BUT QUICKLY STATED THAT I HAVE BEEN TO THE GERMAN EMBASSY BEFORE AND I TOLD HER MY APPLICATION WAS INITIALLY REJECTED ON ACCOUNT OF MY PASSPORT BEING NON-VISA COMPATIBLE. SHE THEN ASKED ME TO EXPLAIN WHAT I MEANT BY THAT AND I TOLD HER MY FORMER PASSPORT CONTAINED ONE GENUINE VISA AND ENTRY AND EXIT STAMPS AS WELL AS A FAKE ONE WITH STAMPS AS WELL. IMMEDIATELY, SHE ABRUPTLY ENDED THE CONVERSATION AND DROPPED MY PASSPORT ON THE COUNTER AND TOLD ME THAT I CAN GO.
I DO NOT UNDERSTAND IF I DID ANYTHING WRONG BY SAYING THE TRUTH AS I EVEN STATED SAME ON MY APPLICATION FORM WHERE THAT SAME QUESTIONED WAS ASKED. AS MUCH AS SHE HAS THE RIGHT TO REACT AS A NORMAL HUMAN BEING, HER GESTURE WAS RATHER INTIMIDATING AND IN ALL FAIRNESS, I AM AFRAID MY FRESH APPLICATION WOULD BE CONSIDERED ON ITS MERITS RATHER THAN ON SENTIMENTS BASED ON A PAST MISTAKE THAT HAS BEEN RECTIFIED.
KINDLY USE YOUR GOOD OFFICE TO LOOK INTO MY COMPLAINT AS I AM NOT AT EASE AT ALL AT THE MOMENT. MY NEW PASSPORT NUMBER IS -------- AND MY NAME IS --------- AND MY DATE OF BIRTH IS ------
THANKS FOR YOUR USUAL CO-OPERATION.
REGARDS, -------------------
Dear Sir,
thank you for your e-mail.
Your visa application was received yesterday and I already had the opportunity to have a look into your file.
I can assure you that there is no need to worry since the refusal does not affect the current application if everything else is alright.
I forwarded the application to the Aliens Authority in Germany yesterday and am now awaiting their reply.
I will get back to you as soon as I receive any response from them.
Thank you for your patience in the meantime.
Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Sincerely yours,
Im Auftrag

dencotech: All the process of furthering my studies in Germany ranging from application to the university, getting an admission offer to opening a student Blocked Account was hitch-free until Visa Interview where I bleeped up full time.
Am yet to understand wot really came over me. My fuckups include:
1. I went to the embassy to submit my visa documents without knowing that the interview would follow immediately.
2. I dared to visit the embassy without being prepared as I could not provide clear answers to 90 percent of the questions thrown to me by the highly accommodating consular. Funny things like not knowing the name of the German president, the details of the master courses am going for, the no of states in Germany etc. Were my unbelievable crimes among others. This took place on the 17th of Dec.
Funny again, as am writing now, 1 no practically 120 percent of the questions dat would be thrown at me. I can guide anyone going for student visa to. Get his/her visa. But the thing is dat there's no second chance.
I got an email to appear at the embassy. When I got there on the 5th of January, I saw my colleagues beaming with smiles collecting their Visas amidst "congratulations" while I got a well articulated "rejection letter" from the embassy. Now am supposed to be in Germany before March 13th.
The attending consular told me that I could apply again. I rushed home and re-applied. Now I have to wait for ages to get an appointment letter from the embassy. For now, am drinking it off cos of the frustration my visa rejection came with. However with ur prayers I hope to come back and share how I got my Visa finally. Dat's when I can type and write well. For now am inebrieted with liquor of sadness, frustration and in deed, I've emptied lots of bottles in my stomach. Sorry, there is a thread for German Student visa here already dealing with every questions you could ever imagine relating to the student visa procurement and even life on arrival in Germany. Find it out and then read via it very vividly between lines. I assure you would NEVER be denied if you follow it. Success rate there is 95% so far.. God Bless You. Thank me later! |

Belly213: Wooooowww.......thanks be to God.......Glory Glory Glory.......I got the sweet mail on Tuesday......I collected on Wednesday and travelled that Wednesday and arrived on Thursday.
All be praise be to God......... I really want to thank all those God used in this forum to touch my life n that of others.....u were wonderful........
My story in summary..... I found daad around July n found this forum around August after intense googling n research. Before that I have googled almost 260 schools using Wikipedia n the process was so slow because there was no search criteria for streamlining your search like Daad. So the search was vague. I found about my school in this forum and I must confess the application was kinda easy, compared to most schools I applied for...initially I was looking for summer semester 2015 but due to the application extension of my school it was possible for me to get admission.....my interview was kinda late and the visa was granted quickly....probably due to my quick enrollment deadline. I also had an issue of variation of age of my WAEC certificate and WAec refused to change it because I don't have a well registered birth certificate...even though I show them d first waec certificate I wrote from my alma mater and secondary school documents with my correct date of birth. ( when I didn't make english from my alma mater waec, I re registered for waec in a state government school and everything about my date of birth was wrong, day, month and year and since I made all the subjects in this waec that is what I used....but if I had seen my certificate earlier on I would have re written waec but I saw it about 10 years later...I was using my statement all this while)....but with a simple affidavit,....the embassy accepted....I really thank God.....d questions were the same thing u have read in this forum.... To the newbies in this forum please try n read....I have read all the pages in this forum...interesting ones, boring ones, intelligent, repeated ones etc it was a great experience. To others especially those that has been a major inspiration I wish you all the best and Gods mercies....you r all interesting.... All the best. Its God. We thank him for your life. Its well with you, glo in Germany IJN, AMEN! |

Well to the visa hopefuls (not forgetting me too), God go answer our prayers although I understand the pressure wey dey the waiting period cannot be kept constant under Charles' law. Well, it has pushed a lot of us to attempt so many heroic and bold steps and may be sometimes funny steps too. One of us here, (no names mentioned buy him moniker starts with D) in a bid to reach the Alien office in charge of his district in order to make them process his documents fast, dug more than he expected..he was given the name of a true alien and here is the result of his enquiries in the image below.
He almost ran out of the home really mad because the date given by this our 'alien' was beyond the deadline stipulated by the school. Moral if my post; Do your very best and leave the rest to God.... Enjoy the chat below. See u too jare my bruder. God bless plenty! |

Oh the embassy, God bless germans, the lady in charge of my file, was so kind and concern about my health after she read my email l sent to her . my school also never ceased senting me mail every now and then to know about my well being and that they are praying for me, the proffersor sent a very wonderful mail to the embassy that makes me to wonder why I deserve this favor, my amazing sister who never looked back spending her money on every move we make,l have not spend one naira since I started this journey till now,how can I ever pay back this woman who is more than a mother to me, God bless her with all the good things of life. Amen Ooooooh, what a wonderful end Betty.shows that God surely completes whatever he begins in any1's life. Rayhut: for unregistered mail it will take about 3weeks maximum,it will reach Germany, Nigerian postal system has changed for good, I used Nipost unregistered to sent a letter to Sweden, the letter reach sweden after 2weeks and 4days. Posted the letter in surulere office in lagos and it is not registered. The letter may not reach by November 15th because it is less than 3weeks. And same way, that unregistered letter may not even arrive destination untill about 3 months..i've experienced this before ok? So,the point is,use registered services cos, that would arrive on time(10working days) as i've experienced that. Therefore, I can say thayt, the competence of the so-called Nipost isn't what we should theorize but still should still remain an 'uncertainty' as today they cud deliver fast and tomorrow, they may not. My 2 spoons. |

kennycanny: Pls generally speaking, is Nipost reliable to deliver my transcript within weeks. My school gave me option of using courier to send my transcript which ll cost about 13k each and I want to apply to about 4 schools. Cost of transcript is 5k each too. This money no easy. Anybody with experience on Nipost regular should advice pls. You should have read at least 2 pages backward as full info about this was trashed. Anyway, you can use the Nipost regular but ensure it is registered so they could give you a tracking for it. Should arrive Germo within 10 working days approximately, cost between 450 - 1000Naira. Hope this helps.. |

hollaytan: hello house please i want to have an idea of posting.... wannna send my documents to german schools, will like u to give me the procedures and cost of the postage, time with which it will get to the destination..cheap ones o Oga or madam? walk into any post office or courier service nearest to you and tell them you want to do that. They would weight your parcel ask specific destination and content of parcel and then tell you the cost. The cost usually would depend on the weight and type(content) of the parcel, the type of service you want to use and also the destination the parcel would be heading to. Prices ranges from 250Naira to 15000Naira depending on the factors stated above. However, using Nipost registered service could be between 450Naira to 1000Naira(70% possibility to track shipment transit online and takes approx 10working days to arrive destination), Nipost unregistered service usually around 250Naira to 350Naira(cannot track shipment transit online and could take 3weeks or more or may not even arrive destination forever sef), Nipost express courier usually between 3k-7k,still depends on the factors earlier stated (100% guaranteed self online tracking and arrives within 4-7days). DHL, Fedex, et'al (all those big men express courier them), could cost between 7k-15k, and still depends on those aforementioned factors and usually arrives destination between 3-5days max.(100% guaranteed self online tracking possible). I really hope this guides. Thank You! |

tossbal4real: To all the Veterans in the house, this is me saying thank you and God bless you. I picked up my visa yesterday at the German embassy.
I was interviewed on the 4th of September and I sent a reminder email to the VO (the nice Chinese looking Lady) who interviewed me on the 30th. She replied with the usual Alien issue delay and I held my peace. On the 10th of October (My fifth week running) I felt led to send a reminder email to the VO basically to find out how far and to inform her that my lectures were starting on Monday the 13th and I had several deadlines to meet up with, to God be the glory she replied me saying my visa was ready to be issue and to come with the travel insurance and all.
To all those who are waiting for the good news, my prayer for you is that your expectation shall not be cut short. To all freshers in the house, my suggestion would be that you read as much as you can on this thread and empower yourself with the adequate knowledge you need to succeed because knowledge indeed is power. To all those who are currently facing one challenge or the other, nothing good comes easy. Trust in God and forge ahead because all these are just ingredients to make your story sweeter.
Wish you all the very best of God in your respective careers, let's make Nigeria proud and contribute our own quota to repairing the damaged image we have in the face of the international community because I believe in the New Nigeria that we would build; Good People, Great Nation.
Shalom!!!!

Oh my goodness! Jesus Christ! People are still as backwards as this? Robbing people? Oh my goodness!!! That devil is a liar, Amen! The lord that has started a good work in you will surely complete it also in Jesus name,Amen. Please, start by obtaining an affidavit for the experience. This affidavit should contain everything lost then go ahead to get another passport meanwhile, you should email the embassy also explaining what happened then, they should advice their own part regards obtaining another visa. Moreso, email your school because I still doubt the possibility of getting all your originals from their respective places such that, you could use photocopies where necessary with the support of the sworn affidavit. Nevertheless,'if' you estimate delay times, the public hols, etc, you 'may' decide to reschedule your flight by some days/week(s) more as the case may be. My sister,it is well in Jesus Name.. Please kindly tell me name of bank, even though euro has fallen to 208 as for today.....so 215 is still high but I wouldn't mind if I don't see an option till weekend( I learnt that on Fridays Euro is usually at lowest for the week in question ie last Friday it was 202.2). naijaobi: what u'll transfer is 8090 euros oo..not 8040. You transfer 8090, db bank collects 50 leaving you with 8040. If you transfer only 8040, they'll still collect there 50 leaving u with 7990 euros which is not the correct amount expected to be in a blocked account. @ 9jaobi, oh yes I know but just missed that part out of it. Many thanks for the chip-in anyway! |

graciousme: Thanks. The bank refused me Form A. They said the recipient name is my name rather than the school name. Tried explaining the blocked account stuff to no avail. I decided to move the money to another bank and alas I would be charged like 40k. CBN regulations of 10,000dollars limit per day also limited the amount I could deposit or transfer.
In all,God is faithful. @ Graciousme, I would suggest you try 'Tayoslayers' opinion(try another branch of the union bank), 'if' you would have the time because,I personally went to their branch yesterday for same enquiries and they confirmed its possibility moving the cash over to the DB via a normal savings account(with all documentations involved stating the transfer purpose, etc) @ a rate of 215 and the lady said the charges would be approximately 64 dollars(equivalent in naira) for the 8040Euros.. She was very excited and wanted me to do it urgently(seems them they find customers) and even collected my phone number promising she would call me if I dont come back for the transaction since I promised getting back to her within the week. Sometimes,it is obvious some staffs are very more knowledgeable than others either within same or different bank and/or branches cos, similar thing happened again to me when I asked someone in Firstbank and she said its possible meanwhile another said its not possible using the form A, and that I cant even buy foreign currencies using a valid visa and ticket reservation because of already having a Naira mastercard..So, just try to check another branch to see if there could be anyway out because that would save cost to a very large extent: That's, 'if' you have got the time... Stay Blessed! |
