RomanceRe: Was I Wrong To Reject His Money? by dartsidius7(m): 7:20am On Dec 18, 2013
if I knew your bf, I would advice him to get you to sign a pre-nupt. if he is considering marriage. Why?

cos you did not consider him stingy when he did not have.
Cos, you like most women seem to quantify and calculate your man's worth without putting into consideration the fact that the car he is driving might have been bought with a car loan which he is still paying and still has to settle siblings, family and you.
Cos,, you have folks too, ask them for money. Ask your brother how he spends for his girlfriend.
Cos you still manage to tax a guy that's currently building a house cry . No mercy.
Cos he is not your father.

I once made some miscalculations with my money and bought a couple of things in anticipation of some funds I was expecting that did not come in on time. A girl that I used to give 5k for cab fare anytime she comes to visit (and she lives 20 minutes away oo, and came over like twice a week) saw those things and asked me for some money, thinking that I was buoyant at that particular period, where as, I had to burrow from my sister to survive till pay day. She actually called me stingy. cheesy (fvcking amazing)
I would understand if you want to dump him for cheating. But then all you will have left is optimism and hope that the next guy you will meet would spend on you and not cheat. (30 % chance)

The way I see it, you will dump him when you meet a richer guy.

NOWWWW, there are many sides to this story, 1. He might not even see you as a gf (only as lord of the ring). 2. He might not want to spend well until he has met your folks. 3. He just might be an A55, cos bad as e bad, a niccar has got to spend sometimes na (bdays, vals, etc)

Either way, if yyou are not happy with the way he is, Leave him.

And please stop all that crap about not being after his money, If you weren't concerned about his money, this thread wont even exist.

Even as couples, there have been times when my mum (God bless you mummy, Love you) would ask my dad for money and he would complain.

Oh and one more thing, How much is that unreasonable amount.? OP, go and make your own money and then nobody can do shakara for you. grin
EducationRe: Unemployability Of Nigerian Graduates by dartsidius7(m): 4:12am On Dec 09, 2013
hitlab: Its just so sickling to hear such demoralising remarks about nigerian graduates. These same persons(just so fortunate to be what they are now) are the ones who victimize undergraduates in class. I remember a lecturer already apportioned percentages to the supposed outcome of a course he was teaching for the first time, saying: "only 5% will av A in this course 10% B , 20% C others will carry the course" and believe me it was exactly so. Did they ever ask Why is it that if a Nigerian undergraduate gets an oppurtunity to school abroad in a better learning environment makes the best grade & break records? Really Nigerian graduate have suffered.
My two kobos for Nigerian graduate is empower yourself in a little way you can & you will make it as time goes on.
Peace
You took the words right out of my mouth. My thoughts exactly. Thank you very much. The same graduates and undergrads that they call slow still manage to pull some crazy scams(am not saying its a good thing). I think more of the blame should be placed on the system that produces the gradates..

osisey2010: To be employable in Nigeria;
-You must put GOD first
-You must understand the Nigerian market
-You must be very ready to work hard
-You must be ready for insults
-Humility, Hardwork, discipline, loyalty, passion and focus is required
-You must have listened to a couple of GEJ's speech -LOL

I rest my case for now
You are right.

I think more needs be done in terms of curbing their lawlessness. They don't obey traffic laws .(and for some funny reason, don't get arrested by lastma officials), they drive recklessly, most of them are usually under the influence, they make money but never maintain their buses. I dont think fatigue is the major cause of their accidents. but the fact is that, unlike factory workers that work for 12 hours at the risk and detriment of thier own health, whatever affects the Danfo driver puts not just his passengers at risk but other road users too. The idea of of insuring the passengers is lovely. I think the government should limit the activities of the touts too. If their association does not do something to control them, the government would come out with tougher policies that will affect them.[b]I think more needs be done in terms of curbing their lawlessness. you have got to be F**king kidding me. The same f**king NLC that made peeps come out to protest over subsidy removal only to go and snitch on us behind our backs. I say f**k NLC, they can eat a big black D**k for all I care. Bloody whankers.
Plus, won't this law mean that states would be able to determine their minimum wages and thereby make it competitve and aid migration to other parts of the country. If lagos wants to pay me 5mill per annum and cost of living will eat 3mill and ebonyi state is willing to pay 6mill and cost of living will eat 1mill, I think I will be willing to relocate.just saying.

PoliticsRe: Lagos Cancels Lekki-epe Expressway Concession by dartsidius7(m): 8:54am On Aug 29, 2013
Now how much has been generated from this road for the past 3 years. Lets be conservative and say about 500,000 vehicles pass that toll every day out and into lekki. lets say an average of N150 (this is conservative knowing most of this would be buses and SUVs)
hence total amount generated daily ..
500,000 X 150 X 2 times daily = 150 million daily
150 mill X 360 days X 3 years = 162 billion

How much is generated from adverts on all the bill boards? Lets just say 500 million annually so in 3years that is 1.5 billion
Total amount received = 163.5 billion
Total amount spent = huh?? billion
Total Cost of complete road = 75 billion
Amount refunded back to concessionaire = 7 billion

Do you now see the fraud?
your calculation is hilarious and ludicrous. cheesy .. a million passages per day. I wont even try to argue with you, cause, I really don't think its worth it.

software man: What precisely is the point of your post?
Unless you have access to the details of the concession agreement contract, you are just speculating which is what i do not want to do here. I know that in most concession agreements the smart thing is to define it in phases to enable the concession company to start recouping their investment as the work moves along.

Do not forget that a concession agreement involves a private company investing it's own resources upfront and wait for a period of time to recoup by collecting daily toll. it usually involves the management and maintenance. Unless you have a copy of the contract than like i stated earlier you are just speculating.

believe me, you are the one confused here. Just tell me what the scam is here. it will be easier for any one to award a contract , and inflate it , use government money to execute it and smile to the bank. concession contracts are usually financed by international financial institutions and these people would not jeopardize their money without doing proper due diligence.
Thank you very much chief. your comment is the most reasonable one here. All we have on this thread are a bunch of silly and ignorant peeps speculating about a concession agreement that they don't even know the content. Some people don't even know that LCC means lekki concession company and not construction company, some don't even know what a buyback means. Just like the guy that you have been arguing with, Without any form of traffic count, he came up with that absurd calculation. But the totality of the blame does not fall on those arguing blindly. The thing is, our leaders are also to blame, cos, there is a level of corruption, that makes all acts of governance seem like fraud, and I believe that we have attained that level.

kingoflag: Just take a quick glance at the section of the country that fears a Buhari Presidency the most. Now, look at the section that Supports GEJ the most (not even his own Ijaw People o). Now, look at...

You know what, Im done.

The best thing for Nigeria to do is divide, because a country with Igbos and Hausas in it will never flourish. They harbor hatred against each other, and one side will always work towards destabilizing the other even if its aligning with the devil to achieve this aim. Two very intolerant groups... nothing good will come out of Nigeria because Religion and Tribe will always overcome common sense.

well, first off, its his money, he can do with it as he pleases. secondly, most of the folks condemning him, who knows what they would do if they had his kind of money.
But, For a good business man, i would call this a silly investment. He could die without his body being recovered. I think he would have been better off if he had invested in people. butttttt, its his money. He could decide to act stupid with it or use it to wipe his arse.
CelebritiesRe: Tonto Risks 15-yr In Jail For Weed Photos, NDLEA To Investigate by dartsidius7(m): 11:08pm On Jun 29, 2013
So I see you reason from your ars@.

1. It is irrelevant what the security at your place use it for - they too could be arrested. That is your subjective opinion on the issue. The law stands.
2. Weed is NOT legal in america regardless of how rampant it is sold
3. You don't need anything physical - the law states that the mere promotion and encouraging of the substance is ILLEGAL
4. She took ownership when she said and I quote "Mi smoke mi ganja" that sentence is enough
5. In the US here the police ONLY need to have probable cause to believe you are in possession whether you claim it is yours or not, the matter remains it was found under your care. Stolen goods in your house can not be explained away as you not knowing so the issue of her account being hacked is baseless
6. Photoshop indeed..so I guess the business class ticket in the picture too was photoshopped? Regardless she was PROMOTING and ENCOURAGING The use of marijuana - ILLEGAL.

Here in the US an artist can NOT encourage the use of marijuana, they can get away by calling it weed because afterall they can claim that they are talking about garden weeds, however tell one of them to ATTEMPT to call it "hemp" "marijuana" or perhaps a more direct name that points DIRECTLY to the fact of the drug "Ganja" and they will end up in jail in less than 24 hours So the Nigerian Law enforcement agency is RIGHT. Tonto did promote the use of the drug. She should be reprimanded. If you can show me one american artist that can come out and talk about smoking my "Hemp", "mArijuana" ...they use coded words like "that good good" "My good weed at home" etc. "Im on that L" NEVER EVER will they title it the drug else that is CRIMINAL and WILL land them in Jail so don't talk out your empty ar$e

Again the fact that you claim everybody uses weed, does not mean the law enforcement have no right to pursue it. Again sometimes there are a lot of murders, the police cites one, pursues it and uses that one to make an example to others. Afterall she is the prime candidate, use a celebrity and the masses will learn.
[b]Medical and non medical (recreational) marijuana is actually allowed in some states (under state law) in the US but only in small ounces. Some allow physician supervised possesion. Some allow possession by 21 years and above.
In November 2012 Initiative 502 passed by Washington voters with 55.7% voting for the measure, and 44.3% against. This initiative will allow adults over the age of 21 to legally possess up to 1 oz (28 g) of marijuana, 16 oz (450 g) of marijuana infused product in solid form, 72 oz (2.0 kg) of marijuana infused product in liquid form or any combination of all three and to legally consume marijuana, and marijuana infused products.

Prior to the passage of I-502, the city of Seattle had passed Initiative 75, which directed the Seattle Police Department to make marijuana possession its lowest priority. Tacoma passed a similar initiative in 2011.

Plus, kid cudi has a track titled marijuana.

These days most people dont even really care about weed.
Hallucinogenics are stealing the show. Now those can really make people crazy

There are no guarantees in life including marriage. People change, season comes and goes. Each new day is dipped in the mystery of God that no human being can ever plan for.

Wisdom is the principal thing. Only the grace of God can sustain a marriage.
