The Legal system in Nigeria is trash, and it reminds me of an experience I had with this guy who was wrongly arrested and sent to jail. I was on vacation one day and decided to walk into a high court just to hear the proceedings. On that faithful day there was this young man who was in chains in court. During the break this young man beckoned on me to please come, I was shocked. But then I asked the police officer around if I may, he agreed. This young man pleaded with me to please help him get something to eat, even if its just biscuit, that he has been in jail for long and hasn't eaten for days. I bought him a bunch of banana with pure water. This guy shared this bunch of banana with other accused in court there.
When it was his turn to face the court, this guy didn't have a lawyer because he couldn't afford one.
Now what was he accused of? His story: he lived in a neighborhood and had a little misunderstanding with some brothers, few weeks after the misunderstanding these brothers house was robbed and there property and belonging taken away. Next day they called the police to arrest this guy. On what ground?
1. They had a misunderstanding
2. He dresses any how
3. He has no job
4. He was poor

And the dumb police men arrest this young man. I was really bitter when this guy asked to defend himself. He wept and wept that he was innocent and the accusers have no evidence to label him the criminal, but all these fell on deaf ears.
This guy has been in jail for over 1year and 6months as at then.
The judge just adjourned the case for another 2months and the guy has to remain in jail
That day I gave up on the Nigerian judicial system.

How she helped the government.........

It started when she was a youth corper in 2013/2014 in Ondo State. She got a girl to be living with her.

So she took her to a nearby school to register her, on getting there, the headmistress said she can't be admitted because there were no chairs and lockers and even during the rain, they beg the children not to come to school because of leaking roofs.


When she got home she couldn't sleep.... The thought of the kids sitting on the floor kept disturbing her.

The next CDS, the zonal inspector spoke to us about community development projects. She went to see the Zonal Inspector (ZI) after the meeting, the zonal inspector told her more and even said the project would be commissioned by NYSC and the government too would award her with a job after the commissioning.


Fiam, she went back to the school (Fanibi Community Primary School Akure) to tell the headmistress about her intention, she was happy that she brought out the pupils, they sang and prayed that day.

Work began.... The site engineers said it will cost 1.3m to renovates the classrooms and provide at least 80 chairs and lockers...

Where will she get the money from? She went back to the ZI and he told her to write a proposal and give to people.

She did and she got fourty five thousand naira (#45k) only and others gave he different stories and NYSC kept reminding her that it must be concluded before the end of the service year, and 3months gone already.

She went for a loan with d hope of paying it back when she start working..... To cut the long story short, God helped her and the project got completed 4weeks before the passing out.


She went back to NYSC, they kept telling her how busy they were, they didn't commission it not talk of the government seeing it.

She wept, begged them and did all she could and even told them she's owing.... All they did was gave her a certificate.


What kind of country is this that keeps saying the government can't do it all alone and yet does not appreciate those doing it.....

She felt cheated.. And to even say she's still paying the loan is a story for another day because the interest is killing.

But anytime she visit the school and saw the smile on those little angels faces, she feel happy and it pushes her to do more because she know that she have made that little child love school more.

Encouraged that little girl to love education and be a great woman in future


Ogunleye Modupe Ishola has helped the Government... She's an education ambassador in Nigeria.....

Star actress, Annie Idibia, has said that her year started on a rough note due to the fact that her father took ill for months.

Speaking exclusively with Saturday Beats, the screen diva revealed that her father was not always there for her siblings and her so she was raised single-handedly by her mother.

Due to that experience as a child, Idibia stated that she never prays that her children or any other kid would have to live without having both parents around to raise them.

She said, “This year started for me quite tough. I spent the first three months of this year in the hospital with my father because he had been sick for a while but God has been great and I am grateful.

The actress, who is married to one of Africa’s biggest music stars, told Saturday Beats that she prefers to be addressed and identified on the basis of her own achievements as a movie practitioner rather than just the wife of Tubaba.

“I took a break from my career because after I got married, I got pregnant so I had a baby and had to get used to the new life. I think I did not do any movie for about three years.

“Being addressed as Tubaba’s wife instead of Annie the actress has been a problem that I have been trying to work on for a long time.

“I want to believe that I have successfully been able to identify and differentiate my brand as Annie Idibia the actress/career woman and Annie Idibia the wife/mother. The veteran actor has been battling undisclosed ailment and has been stuck in a general hospital for some weeks.

The state of his health had allegedly deteriorated earlier in the year after which he was admitted to the hospital.

The tale of his bedridden state was first brought to the attention of the public by a younger colleague, Ibrahim Chatta.

Speaking on the development, Chatta appealed to fans to support the ailing actor financially.

Chatta went on to appeal to his colleagues to also donate generously to the treatment of the actor.
