Toyota cars are largely problem free autos, unlike others, that's why people are not commenting. Most of the issues have been easily resolved by roadside mechos.
Car Talk › Re: Nigerians Only Japanese Vehicles Mentality Syndrome by datola: 2:11pm On Jan 16, 2013
Toyota Corolla has been world's number 1 selling car for years. I think a Ford brand just took over. So, it I not a Nigerian mentality but world's.

Toyota cars remain the most reliable cars in the world. They might come behind in build quality and performance but in reliability and maintenance which are key for an average world citizen, they are the best.

The best of European cars are luxury cars and as such more expensive. They are more advanced and complicated to work on compared to Jap's.

gunuvi: No we know the man needs the money to buy instrument so he can compete with ksa. That's what betraying and jealousy causes.
This is a serious issue with most Nigerian employees. They want to always outsmart their masters, not wanting to be patient, always looking for how another man's sweat becomes theirs. KSA has come out clean on this matter.

Frog is edible. It is called "akere" in yoruba and is sold roasted in markets. Toad is "opolo" and should not be eaten.

Most poeple do not know the diference between the two.

musKeeto: Great move. He has to make friends before he joins them.
How will he join them when he is not a looter or robber. The tithe money members pay in church is for pastors and the payers know this. Whether this is wrong or not is another issue entirely.

I have never read any were that pastor Adeboye committed any crime while he was still in the world and now in the Lord.

We can criticize him and other pastors of not living to the standard we expect them as 'holy' men of God but not to the extent of wrongly acussing and wishing them evil.

Do unto others as you would like to be done.

Nigerian president and governors have professional speech writers, usually phd holders. Whether they write rubbish or not is another issue.

Car Talk › Re: How Is GOLF 3 Fuel Economy When One Uses AC 24/7? by datola: 8:59pm On Nov 29, 2012
Siena: The effects of the aircon compressor on fuel economy are negligible. The extra load the compressor will place on the engine when the aircon is switched on will be very small. The greatest load is when you first switch the aircon on, for a split second, whereby inertia plays a role. Once inertia's overcome, the extra load won't even tell on the engine.
So, it's not advisable to switch off the AC intermittently to save fuel?

What effect does the compressor switching itself off when it is cool and on later have on fuel consumption?

Thanks Siena for the enlightenment.
Omo Nigeria, unfortunately, you are not showcasing this to the world; you are showcasing this to yourselves. This is tantamount to preaching to the choir or self-praising. Do you want the American media to portray you in a positive light? Then change your country and abandon your corrupt ways.
Omo odo America, represent your country well over there by stopping your corrupt ways in another man's land. As if all your people that decide to live in their father land are corrupt.. Or have you Americanized all of them by all crooked means possible.
@afam4eva

Dude, I respect your tenacity in vehemently voicing and standing by your opinions. What I notice about Nigerians is that we are pleased with mediocrity and easily satisfied. Additionally, not only are we aggressively defensive when thoughtful criticisms are brought up, we resort to attacking the integrity of the critics.

As an American, I can tell you that no one on earth criticizes America more than Americans. We are completely paranoid. We are never satisfied. We always want the best. The unemployment rate is currently 7.8% but we are not satisfied. We(especially Californians) are always bitching about bad roads, health care, and education even though though they are top-tier. I schooled a bit in Nigeria and I can tell you that the difference is between night and day. If Nigerians had access to the same quality of education as Americans, Nigerians will rule the world in a few decades.

I want Nigeria to succeed and what I am seeing is not enough to make me jump up and down in exhilaration. What is the essence of a beautiful city without basic amenities? Is there constant electricity and water? Is there security? Are the laws being enforced? Does the judicial system work? Nigerians should demand more and not be satisfied with crumbs falling off the table.
Omo America, we are not talking about government performance here but about some good things we can showcase the world instead of your American media painting us black all the time.

afam4eva: Dude, i live in Lagos, Nigeria..I'm playing my own part being been critical of everything and anything Nigerian. That's the only way we can grow. Don't expect me to sit here and tell you that Lagos is the best thing to happen to Africa. That will be a lie for sure.
Of course we are supposed to be critical of our leaders all the times but not at the expense of ridiculing what we have in the eyes of visitors/investors. We can say Nigerian political leaders are failure but Nigeria is a beautiful place to live notwithstanding all the challenges.

afam4eva: I was just using a scenario to paint a picture for someone. You don't run into the middle of the road to ask why drivers are ignoring the zebra crossing. That will only cost you your life.
@Afam, do you live abroad and contributed to the developments in those cities. Why can't you be proud of your Nnewi Okrika cities for once instead of fighting over what is not yours.

Most Nigerians still live like slaves. Even if you are abroad and are related to Obama you should look forward to returning to your country one day and should join in every effort to develop, promote, package and hype it! Do you know how many would-be visitors are reading these posts.

The pictures are meant to show some positive good places to visit in Nigeria.
