This Zinny conundrum is just like De Gea.

De gea for all his saves and reflexes can't seem to distribute ball and pass ball effectively from the back. Once there's pressure, he'll budey it and good opponents will capitalise on it. He might save 2 or 3 as a great goalkeeper he is but how many can he stop when pressure wan burst pipe?

Most top coaches are thinking of ways of limiting opponents from holding the ball reason why they prefer Technical players throughout the field right from the keeper down to the CF.

The main reason why we dropped points today was when we didn't effectively recycle the ball from back to front and losing possession recklessly esp in the 2nd half.

I just knew pressure would burst pipe and we should thank Ramsdale, Gabriel and Salah for ensuring we took one point to Emirates embarassed
This is a wrong example to use.

De gea is great at his primary duty-goalkeeping!!!

Zinny is NOT!!!

Being good with the feet gk is still a catch up thing with modern gks.

Ederson keeps clean sheets but in most cases is a bad gk. He's good with his feet.

Tomiyasu is injured and he still has better man to man tackles than Zinny. Should i because of Tactics overlook such slack?

We can deflect all we want, but the giants of european football care less about all of that. The earlier the better.

So far he's great for the attack approach but poor in defending.

Ya talking of recycling the ball when Liverpool were playing like demons? Oh my!!! Holding rightfully contributed to their pressure in our half but Teta was slow in doing what was necessary to stop it.

Tierney and Trossard were the key. Especially as Nelli was tired.

Lets always say it as it is.

The fact that man u fans love de gea no mean say dem no dey vex or call him out when he messes up.

Tonight, Zinny is that player!! Simple.

My only Reason I feel he should have benched Zinny for Tierney was when the pressure was much cos no need for any buildup again.

But saying he shouldn't start na kolewerk. We all seem to forget how composed we were before their first goal
Zinny can't be starter for us on serious European night games pls. And i mean this in all sincerity.

But i agree. The bigger blame is on Teta for leaving him on longer than necessary. Tierney can never get nutmegged and not fight back.

I really feel for Gabu. His legs will be burning rn. Double job.

As a coach, i expect you don't give such overload to your last reliable CB after losing the other CB to injury. It's a silly silly tactic. Very silly. All cos you want Zinny to flourish? And again a dangerous winger called MO Salah.

Abeg Arteta lacks respect!!!!!?

You read my mind. I was shouting all over the place. Through pass became a mountain for Martinelli.
If that pass happened well, i will even overlook Zinny mess up.

Both goals came from his wing.

It was Ben White that was yellow carded o. And Saka dropped to help him defend. Yet you that wasnt having any bookings, 2goals came from that wing?

I know as coach will ruminate on that detail. It's not a needle in hay kind of situation. It is obvious.

Holding had his own, tactic-wise Zinny is not culpable cos he was simply playing to instructions. But you see Holding’s decision making was poor.

He always panicked under little pressure.

He was so bad that he kicked a ball to corner without pressure and was saved by the linesman who raised his flag for offside.
Any tactics that doesn't respect dangerous wingers like Salah is a rubbish tactics.

Besides, what happened to primary obligations. Are you even pleased to see that ordinary TAA nutmegged a defender like him? That made Trent feel like a sweet winger. What nonsense.

It is disrespectful to see Salah and play the way Zinny played.

Once again, i will say it

We can't resume Europe with just Zinny as a starter. Dangerous and cunny wingers dey all over Europe and they'll roast him until he either improves his defending (reading when and when not to do his stuff) and the likes.

Samu Chukwueze will make a fool of Zinny. And this is not me being patriotic. Its fact.

And there are more dangerous wingers than Chuks right now.

the game plan was working perfectly fine untill we decided to drop deep. while liverpool up their game we slowly gave them what they needed. the 2nd half was a disaster and the introduction of kweku the traveller for odegard killed the game, the midfield became more empty. and truely zinny no too try today. gabriel and aaron were exceptionally great today. onto the next one shaa.
We dropped deep because the advantage was totally all theirs. They owned the game from that Xhaka fight till last minute when Nelli had the chance of a lifetime to set saka up for life.

Arteta should have read the game better and noticed he needed to put pressure on Salaah and TAA who was having sweet chances at the centee of our box like he was an AM.

I've always complained about Zinny defending. We can't rely on him if ucl football resumes abeg. He is not that player abeg. We are going back to serious and mature european football and we need to respect dangerous players too. If zinny played against the average version of Arjen Robben, the scoreline will be 4-2 after 90mins.

I don't know of Arteta derives some sort of joy in overloading Gabriel. I dunno. Gabriel was playing two positions throughout as no Zinny in sight. Why did he not shout at Zinny to just be disciplined for the time being? Argghhhhh.

A Saliba in this game could’ve ended in a win for us…. We go again next match
It would have helped White after that yellow plus Zinny movement would have been overlooked. Rob Holding did quite well to me. I was afraid of his style which even led to a pk. But he's lucky Salah missed. We should have been searching for a pk too. Mtchew.

We bottled 2 goals lead because of zinny stupid adventure
It is even more annoying that Arteta could not either tell him to forget forward involvement OR bring in Trossard and Tierney the same time at 70th min mark.

TAA was in our half like a midfielder for 30minutes of the 2nd half. Why is that had to take advantage of??

Nelli is not a 90minutes player. Yet he left him on.

Anyone knows Nelli is exhausted when he starts dribbling more than passing. Switching to 343 was another bad idea. All we needed to do was to curtail Salah and TAA. A pity Ben White yellow made Saka to help with more defensive duties than should be allowed.

It is a bad day o. City will definitely win theirs outstanding. 3points. Then they beat us... 0points. GD makes them sit atop.

There were lots of things to talk about, but none is more painful than that crappy decision making by Nelli in final minutes. I was enraged

That's totally up to whoever sets up his side of the contract. Madrid truly kills many talents as make them. The last few contracts of u23 players there proves that agents are now doing all to beat such nonsense predicament.

Trust me, that Madrid RW side is so so dead and that alone will make Chuks a good starter until he seals a spot.

And this should be inherently uploaded to the medulla of many that thinks once someone is on the bench, it's because they have nothing worthy to offer. We all know how many of these managers think. He can't try that in SE shirt. He'll be closed down shapali. That's one thing about Africa footie. Vinga blocked his view and a teammate had to drag Vinga away. Before he made the burst in saka style and buried it. Those few seconds of pause and drag is what actually annoys us when he wears GWG. Glad he had a great game. It's not easy to be the deciding factor in a win against Madrid at home. It isn't.

9.3/10 is really top class.

Only it will be annoying and offer nothing once he plays against a caf team if he doesn't know how to adapt and go for the better option.

It's why I didn't bother arguing anymore. It was obvious to anyone who watched that she played deeper than usual. Despite that I'm almost certain she made the most passes in the game. Not the best of game for her of course but she wasn't underwhelming like dav ep described.
saying she didn't impress is not roasting her now. Yeah, i asked cos i noticed she was all over the pitch and was barely making any big threat, although not only her. I still stand by my observation about her game today. Another game will come. Good she helped in the goal.

I don't just understand too. One moment in the game, he was talking with Ajibade to go central or switch wing. Few seconds before she could enact whatever he whispered, a sweet thru pass came and she wasted it immediately. 😆😂😂😂

I don't know if Waldrum understands the basics of 1st to 2nd phase build up plays and then finally to the 3rd phase of build up.

The defence to middle game connections happen in the 1st-2nd phase buildup. Waldrum has to set up the team's defence to synchronise with the midfield in phases. He has to dish out specific instructions and practice more buildup automation drills so that the synergy can be grown.

You are right. These route-1 passes won't work at the mundial except in few phases of plays where we are on the counter with enough space to play into and the pace upfront to exploit such long balls switches (e.g. Okeke to Oshoala at the last WC vs Korea).
The man has nothing to offer this team as it is. Style of play is even more confusing.

I can count almost 5pacy midfielders in our wwc group, other teams with great vision and connection with their defence. 5times in this game, Alozie preferred to run and enter brick wall than give a pass to a totally free Ayinde/Onyi in centre circle. Rofiat was more unlucky. She never had such opening so she went more direct with Ajibade that was poor all 90mins.

We never ready.

Randy will see this setpiece goals and still not do anything in training sessions to make it one of our strengths. I doubt these girls even listen to him. He's clueless.
