TheGoodJoe:

That is why I said, it is down to comprehension. Scanning through your post, you are off tangent of the discussion. How can discussing the challenges of a player equate to hype? Is that not shocking even to you?

Now when we talk about skillset, it is with respect to our national team. When we go to Europe, we have loads of them. Let me just list five.

Rodri
Thiago Alcantara
Xhaka
Jorginho
Frenkie De Jong

I can go on. We have loads of them in Europe. We just saw the rise of Zidane Iqbal for Manchester United. Brilliant in midfield dictation, keeping the ball in tight spaces, and distribution. There is still James Garner. These are young players.

In Nigeria, we do not have them in mass. We don't. So, that is why we appreciated Eguavoen giving Kelz Nwakali the call-up. That is not hyping him.

European clubs have the luxury of passing Kelz Nwakali if they seek a deep-lying playmaker, that dictates with long balls. For Eguavoen, it was important to him, and reached for the few he could get. Luckily, he believed in Nwakali, and I believe he showed quality.
First and foremost, you can't put skillset just to the NT. If that skillset exist and its his selling point, then it should be what makes deals come his way.

Then for the national team, he is not indispensable. He can't be getting call ups ahead of players in much much better leagues cos of just skillset. This is the national team

I find it funny that you think my earlier writeup is off tangent. Lol

First, the hype ish is majorly down to mentions. He is mentioned here more as a messiah of sorts than due to his club issues. Pls, do tell me how that is not hype.

Easy with the excuse for why European clubs are not coming. That's hilarious. You're trying to make me believe that almost all clubs that turn eyes to him are avoiding him cos of his position or what?

The Eguavoen that called him now can't even talk about him much again.

Why we consider it hype, and rightly so, is cos we are making him look like the NT needs him more than he needs the NT.

Besides, if clubs are overlooking, then that tells alot of whatever he has to offer in a COMPETITIVE squad.

I don't doubt his skillset or talent. But the hype is sickening. There are many players that have worn the GWG that deserves to be in the same sentence for hyping and Kelz is not yet deserving to be one.

I don't even want to start with the list of 5 you made up there.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by daveP(m): 9:23am On Jul 22, 2022
This is no more about hating. If division 2 is where you think he deserves call up from, then you don't like the SE. If na skillset, clubs should be after him, but he's not the only one with that skillset. So down the preference ladder. No analysis can sideline this. I hope he shocks all of us. Is it true he rejected Zurich?

Hmmm
Okay.

Once again, the afcon issue is not the reason he didn't get good deals. Infact it was a good noise to help get deals. Yet. ..yet.

Hype is mentioning him more than he should be. It makes it look like playing there is sweet.

WAFCON 2022| ‘Every Game Is Like A Final For Us’ – Plumptre Confident Ahead Zambia Tie

Super Falcons and Leceister City Defender Ashleigh Plumptre has made it known that her side won’t leave any stone unturned as they look on to face the Shepolopolo of Zambia in the third place match on Friday Evening.

Africa’s most successful Women National team, the Super Falcons lost to the Morrocan Ladies on Monday, 4-5 On penalties, after a 1-1 draw in regulation time, a match, which saw the Super Falcons playing with nine women in most part of the game, following red cards received by Halimatu Ayinde and Rasheedat Ajibade.

Plumptre who gave out an amazing performance in the Semi-final encounter against the Atlas Lionesses has promised that they won’t relent in their last game of the tournament and would rather give their all, because every game is like a final to them.

“We showed alot of character in our last game against Morocco and never expected to play in the third place game, but the final,” She said.

“It showed how much solidarity we had, working for each other and making sure we got things done, even when we were two women down in most part of the game.

“We are a high achieving team, and we play every game as if it is the final and tomorrow won’t be any different. We are confident of getting something positive out of the game.” She concluded.
Two both of them resemble.

They've reportedly paid them 1k each from the 10k owed each player. undecided

Why are they always never having the cash set down as the qualifiers are ongoing. Why are they always passing across this Afterthought Mentality each year and tournament??

Before you know it now, this nonsense will hamper out World Cup preparation and morale will be dented. First timers are already ready and cash is not even an issue for them. It's now us.

Paying coach 2k and asst 1.5k

This is an excellent analysis by ET.

One observation- Plumptre is the only defender that had successful passes to the midfielders throughout the game.

They don't look up.

The RM didn't run with Uchenna all the times she was running forward.

The Morrocans got their tactics on marking right.

We barely had triangles and squares to show we were playing a system.

Ohale is the calmest of the defense line.

Midfielders need to step with creativity down the middle. Like this is a big urgency.

Ucheibe is the best midfielder for the team right now.

Super falcons boycott training this morning. Apparently players haven't been paid the WAFCON qualifiers, talk less the WAFCON itself.

Our administrators are the worst
I support fully.

When they don't give their all, the media roast them and drag them through Vawulence Junction.

When they give their alll, they are still treated like trash, and that is unacceptable.

Qualifiershuh

The last time i saw such zeal from a national team was from the 2013 SE set vs CIV. Now we are hear and simple reward for such a showdown against all odds and Monies are still in the hang??

Portia Modise is such a sad sack and hater.

She said our decline is because of the oldies we field in the team. Only Ebi was in the Lineups. The others are two. How does that now make the team a team of oldies?? She's jealous she didn't have a lasting career like Onome Ebi evidently.

I'm not surprised she's very happy at the Zoning way also. Na Caf i blame for this nonsense. If you're good, you're good. No need for a wildcard to participate and claim that's progress.

Falcons still remains the best to come out from Africa. If they are down, they'll rise up and still shine bright.

Like the young Moroccans girls, playing at their own backyard found like hard to break down a team of oldies until two red cards and funny calls were given? Such a big hater.

Florence Omagbemi is the no.1 Ex- international for the job…

Head Coach; Florence Omagbemi
1st Assistant; Mercy Akide Udoh
2nd Assistant; Perpetual Nkwocha

Again the Foreign Born players won’t have any problem provided they’re playing well, Omagbemi is still Coaching in the US alongside Mercy Akide

Perpetual Nkwocha knows the European game very well as she has played and Coached in Sweden..

I don’t think there would be any problem for them with the Home based players as they know very well how the System is…

If NFF can give them the maximum Support the way they have done for Randy and his team they will definitely succeed…

These Ladies already knows and understands the pressure that comes with playing and Coaching Nigeria National team…

NFF biggest mistake was Sacking Omagbemi and her crew.

Randy to me is just 5/10

I think after 4 years at least, Mercy Akide Udoh can take over from Florence Omagbemi if the need be..
A man should take the final slot. If wishes were horses though, an ex international of the SE(with good coaching experience) won't be bad. These three won't be too good together imo. But i still will choose Omagbemi.

Moving forward i this players should give way for better talent in the team.

Maclean -- Rinsola babajide
Chikwelu -- Mbadi or Debora Abiodun
Angelo ogbonna -- Patricia George
Vivian ikechuckwu -- Flourish
Ordega - huh
We need a proper right back to compete with Alozie
Two young center back
Payne shouldn't play left back or right back again
Me still feel these fullbacks should play their natural position. They're attackers. The experiment should not be the norm. Makeshift shouldn't.

Bowing out with a fight is what we love. This team can never be forgotten. They couldn't do anything when it was 11vs11. It had to be 11v9, yet they couldn't do it. Still took a tired Ify to give them the advantage.

Congrats to the Super Falcons.
