Thiza: Amended it, professional armies commit atrocities, that includes the United States which is considered the most professional of all. The real question is why anyone thought it was wise to photograph and then post it on the internet, professional militaries atleast have the sense to try to cover up their atrocities. 1 Like 1 Share |

Atmmachine: Its ignorance, they all think the grass is greener on the other side until they get there. If people researched what it takes to survive in the US or many western nations they will understand and choose to make something of themselves in their country of origin. Most Nigerians don't know what taxes are, nor do they know mortgages nor the massive amounts of bills one has to pay just to survive. They don't know that in order to be something in any western society you first have to go to school, spend years and tens of thousands of dollars acquiring adequate education. Its just sad when i here how people salivate at the thought of coming to the US or going to the UK or Germany, they have no bloody idea. 13 Likes |

This needs to be taking to the appropriate channels so it can be refined and put into use, i don't how but we seriously need it (if nothing else but to give us an identity). I truly hope a governor or someone in positions see's this and slowly introduces it, that person will go down in history. |

Politics / Re: How Can Nigeria Produce An Ibo President? by Daverytimes(m): 2:03pm On Apr 23, 2015 |
They don't need the presidency, we need good governors because they affect the lives of the individuals in a state far more than the president does. Having an Igbo president is simply a matter of pride, nothing more nothing less. Will it happen? sure, its a matter of when not if. 20 Likes 1 Share |

SaiBuharii: What the f u c k is wrong with you, who is desperate for power? when was the last igbo president, how many states are controlled by igbos. As part of the majority in Nigeria don't the igbo's deserve to have majority say in the running of the country? who riots and kill people when they lose? is it the Igbo's? why the f*ck do you idiots chastise a group that don't even have any real political power and hasn't sought any real political power in this country since the end of the civil war? Are you telling us that your political choices are better? if so why are the richest states per capita still in the east? Why is it that the east cant make a decision without you vultures having to chastise them and call them name? do you know better? are your candidates better? if you think they are then good, but they don't think your candidates are better and they reserve a right to make that choice, that is the f*cking democracy we live in. I hate to blast people but for the past few weeks the vitriol and sheer hatred that has been displayed in this site by people against Igbo's has been incredibly disheartening. I don't know why this site doesn't have moderators because it has become a cesspit of complete brainless morons. 8 Likes |

jln115: I don't get why people keep saying this, countries with comparable populations to those of Nigeria has 3 times the amount of Active personnel and most of them have 20-35 times more reserves in their military than we do. Out of the top 10 most populated countries in the world the only country that comes close to Nigerias 130,000 Military personell is japan at 230,000, and that country is supposedly not allowed to have an offensive force (and they number about 50 million less than Nigeria). Bangladesh and Pakistan (the countries closest to us in population terms) has 400+ thousand and 600+ thousand respectively. Does it really make sense to shrink a Military that is already this shrunken? Nigeria needs to expand not shrink, with determination an expansion can be done in conjunction with a modernization program. 4 Likes |

craziebone:There are enough already in this forum, maybe if you look for it you will see it. Its always sad to see these responses, what does one have to do with the other? so because BH is such a menace we should kill anyone suspected of being BH? do some of you even know the definition of the word 'Suspect'? Have you ever been suspected of something you never did? am sure most of you have. Does being suspected of something make you the criminal? surely not. |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Would It Kill The Nigerian Army To Treat Suspects Humanely? (video) by Daverytimes(m): 1:35pm On Jan 22, 2015 |
UyiIredia: If you were ever captured and accused of being Boko Haram maybe i should be first in line to encourage the NA to shoot you in the head, after all accusing someone of being BH makes them BH. The NA is so omniscient that they know who is and isn't Boko Haram, isn't that right?. Again your logic (and the logic of so many in Nigeria on this issue) is crooked. BH members should be punished but they should be punished in a lawful way. The reason it should be done that way is simple, not everyone the NA captures and tortures are BH. If we start shooting everyone suspected of being BH on sight am very sure the situation in the Northeast will escalate beyond control, that is something we all cant afford. I love Nigeria, i support our military but that doesn't mean i get to overlook abuses because of the erroneous reason of "we are at war", that doesn't mean i am naive to the realities of war, simply means i am privy to the correct course of action a Military at war should take especially when they are fighting INSIDE their own country. |

ITbomb: What a crooked logic, EVERYONE is condemning BH. They can't do anything about BH actions but nonetheless for the most part everyone is condemning those actions, the Nigerian army on the other hand is NOT BH and thus should be held to a higher standard. This mentality of "Everything goes in war" is incredibly warped and devoid of any humanity. There is a reason it is frowned upon for soldiers to go on a rampage and start killing Women and Children, National Armies of any country understands that. Those who are BH members should (when captured) tried for their crimes and then punished for it, we need to get off our Jungle justice mentality otherwise the problems the Nigerian Army faces in the north will not abate. The Nigerian Army needs to improve its image with the people of the North Eastern states, otherwise they will continue to be viewed as just as Bad as BH. |

I came across this Video and i really am heartbroken by it, its not the worst video on the internet but it shows that the constant accusation of the NA violating Human rights is not without merit. Why the hell can't they bound them and then send them away to prison without having to resort to trying to kill them right there and then. That boy doesn't look older than 14 and knowing how BH recruits he was probably captured and forced to fight, they the fu*k can't they just restrain them and send them away when appropriate without the unnecessary brutality. Why can't we be Humane? is every young boy now BH? This sh!t saddens me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vlBVLlI0Bw |

Nayah: Nigeria is one of the most diverse Nations on planet earth, certainly in the top 3 (along with India and Papua new guinea). 8% of the worlds languages are spoken in Nigeria and to top it off we have more than 8 TIMES more people than you do (22 million vs 180+ million people). So never compare situations between Nigeria and Cameroon, cause you are nowhere near our level nor are you anywhere near our level of complexity. By the way since this thread is all about d1ck waving i will like to point out that Nigeria (with 8 times more people) have a per capita GDP that is TWICE Cameroonians, not overall GDP, Per capita (PPP). So you really should not be talking Nayah. 4 Likes |

Are you people that stu pid? seriously are Nigerians this stu pid? There is nothing racial about the pic? you mean to tell me that the white men in that pic viewed those black servants as their equal? Its freaking 1923, the British weren't in Nigeria because they viewed us as equals. They were there to exploit us because in there minds they were the master race, and despite this fact its somehow not a Racial pic but a "Creative" one. Ignorance is truly a disease in Nigeria, the lot of you need to go to school. Wow, this ticked me off. 3 Likes |
