NwekereNdoki:
This are roads in Kaduna.

Anambra is 10 times more developed than Kaduna, but bad roads sell it out.

I pray Soludo intensifies the Urban renewal effort in Onitsha and Awka with good roads (closed drainage, sidewalks and bicycle lane), this will stand Anambra out. Lagos, Port Harcourt and some other states have stopped constructing roads without sidewalks and open gutters. Anambra must join the queue.

This is why I don't like Obiano's tenure, he littered Anambra's internal roads with open gutters and poorly designed roads.

Anambra is actually the most developed/built-up state in Nigeria after Lagos. Gov just needs to tar it's roads and the citizens can do the rest.\

Soludo needs to intensify PPP to make Anambra great. Anambra is poor for now (state money), so he needs to patner with Private people to do so many things in health, education, estate and also industrialization. Expand Onitsha Harbour and map out new layouts for investors and industrialists to plug and play.

Start planning a highrise around the Niger River in Onitsha. That Iweka Interchange is a landmark, those houses around it are eyesore.

I can't wait to prefer to Stay in Anambra over anywhere else for economic reasons. We will rise.

NOTE: if you don't get the message just move along.

It's unfortunate that some might see what you wrote and default to calling you names, but you are right. It's shameful that some poverty stricken northern states have better road networks and generally more beautifully kept environments than we do, soludo has his work cut out for him and I hope he delivers.

The Soviets when they left Afghanistan left what was considered by many in the west to be a weak government and they were mocked for it, that government lasted for 3 years.
To say that the US war in Afghanistan has been a failure would be an understatement, to say that the US is fantastically corrupt to have spent 80+ billion on an army that fell in under a month would be even more of an understatement.
What a stupid country, all those lives wasted for no reason.

The inevitability of the Taliban gaining control of Afghanistan was clear to all, just as it was clear that the vietcong was going to triumph in Vietnam. What should've happened was open dialogue with the Taliban to transition the country to them, but the US historically lacks foresight.

Who in Nigeria is not oppressed? Burning and fighting in your house, isn't smart at all, especially when you built most of your businesses and assets and liabilities in your neighbours house, and you are fighting the neighbour in your own house.....this isn't 1967, there are smarter ways to get what you want, as you need is coercion from the region in politics and Nigerians would be sympathetic, if not after burning your house, you would loose what you have built with the neighbour you are fighting .
Truthfully the igbos are seen as smart, but this their recent foray, is making people doubt if they think more than money to do business and show off.

I was thinking that I was having a discussion with someone who wants to have an objective discussion but those last few paragraphs has snapped me back to the reality. Could those other ways of doing things possibly be the way that they have been doing it for decades with no result and being slaughtered? Are you equating Igbo marginalization with greater Nigerian suffering? And did you just suggest that because of the actions of a minority of a minority that Igbo's are nothing more than money and showing off?
Have to give it to you, you had me fooled into engaging you, good job.

And this your statement, most particularly the burn and build again, makes sense to you?

The region being oppressed for the first time is kicking against the operation, their method is wrong and condemnable however it was obvious this was going to happen and thus people shouldn't feign concern now. When 150+ Igbo's were killed just 2 years ago many thought it funny and didn't seem concerned to condemn the governments actions, those same people should keep the same energy now because otherwise they are clearly hypocrites.

The southeast had been the most peaceful area of Nigeria for Atleast 2 decades now, I have no doubt that the current crises will pass, the days of bakassi boys came and went, this will surely come to pass.

Tell me what civilization do you people in the south have ?
What's the deference between you and the Northern part of the country undecided
You guys are killing people from your own region, destroying your very own homes. I don't know if we could call it genocide or what
Talking of banning companies, the insecurity caused by ESN/UGN would inturn make companies or multinationals not to invest in your region, I see no difference Man undecided

And there it is, pretending to be educated but his hatred is showing. Since you ask, the south is more educated, richer, better infrastructure, better quality of life and on and on. Are we still a third world country? Absolutely, are we better than you in everything, ABSOFREAKINGLUTELY. You are the ones dragging Nigeria back, every indeces has the north far behind the south, as a collective the south is dragging your dead uneducated corpses. Let us go and you will see the development, join Niger if that's what ya'll want. What nonsense. You were forming intellectual and someone who has sense, but your hate don dey show.

The Southeast is destroying the homes they built with money you never gave them, they can rebuild it with money you will not give them so do not worry about it.

They are UGM, the government hypocrisy is why we are where we are, if you don't see the irony and sarcasm then you are purposefully being blind.
Terrorists where being branded as "bandits" and "Herdsmen" because the Government did not want to tackle them, any serious country would have labeled Miyetti Allah a terrorist organization for their actions across the nation, however they weren't and instead as soon as ESN was created that became the focus of attention.
Many call them UGM because they are UGM, it's hypocrisy to come and be crying ESN when known terrorists are roaming about and being called bandits.

Lol, with the way they are treating ordinary citizens the Nigerian army are going to have a hard time in the South East. I know some here like to puff up their chest on how ESN or IPOB would be destroyed, but unlike the northeast, the southeast is a dense urban environment, the population is more educated, they have greater access to finances, have a massive diaspora and access to world institutions. This is not 1967,i do hope cooler heads in our government prevail. You can bring an end to the anarchy but not through heavy handedness.

Soldiers Allegedly Smashed Imo Based Lawyer’s Car For Bearing Biafran Flag

The windscreen of an Imo based lawyer has allegedly been smashed by men of the Nigerian Army for having a Biafran flag.

The victim (lawyer) whose name is yet to be known disclosed in a video that the incident happened while on his way to a neighboring town.

He said he was accosted by men of the Nigerian Army and when he stopped, they smashed his car simply because they saw a Biafran flag in the car.

According to him, the soldiers said he should thank his God that he was a lawyer, else, they would have ‘wasted’ him.

“Is that the way to live? Let the world know that we are no longer free in Imo State.” the lawyer lamented

He expressed concern that his car was vandalized for no just cause. According to him, he has the right to admire the Biafran flag, and doing that is not a crime

https://thenigerialawyer.com/video-soldiers-allegedly-smashes-imo-based-lawyers-car-for-bearing-biafran-flag/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=video-soldiers-allegedly-smashes-imo-based-lawyers-car-for-bearing-biafran-flag

Let this same soldiers be transfer to the North East to fight Boko haram, and you will see them start wailing about not been well equipped grin

One of the most incompetent and most indiscipline military in Africa. They are only gallant against unarmed civilians.

Only God knows what they are taught in depot.

The soldiers in the southeast are doing the best they can at winning hearts and minds, they better be prepared when the oppressed turn on them and are smashing their heads with the same force.

Our country is being sold right in front of our eyes. When Buhari allowed U.S to operate inside Nigeria, I raised alarm but the usual people said everything was under control and nothing was wrong.

We are about to become Iraq and Afghanistan, having a perpetual presence and source of destabilization inside the country in the name of security. Instead of advisors, pmc's and asking for weapons donation we are asking for them to come inside the country (I know he didn't say it but we all know that's what he meant).

We a tethering on the edge of being labeled a failed state, and a country were world powers will used our people to test their weapons.

Change, no one asked if it was for better or worse, well, the answer is here.

This is what happens when a country elects an ethnocentrist, bigot, uneducated and most importantly A PREVIOUS DICTATOR. When he refused to appear for debates was when I confirmed that he was not mentally capable to lead a country, and the events in the last year has reaffirmed that believe.

I can't believe that we have a leader that is making me wish their was a coup, because this country is not going to survive till 2023. But unfortunately coups are almost never successful (maybe egypt is the more successful recent example).

Nigeria is in trouble, we have been saying it and I am glad to see that those who shout down at others have all disappeared, it shows that they have seen the truth and are too ashamed to admit it.

Neither proforce and the NA DICON cannot meet the army urgent demands !

The way you worded your statement makes it seem like you are saying that they can meet the demand, but assuming it's the opposite that you meant, what explanation is there for buying MRAPs from 3 or 4 different nations? The Chinese ones can't meet demand? The south african ones can't? These saudi ones can't?

When demand increases, capacity increases. If you gave a firm order of 200 MRAPs to proforce, they would increase production and expand, that's how you build up your industry.

Nigerian army have bought nearly 10 different types of MRAPs.

Shameful.

It's corruption, it's easier to quote figures for foreign products and skim off the surface than to quote it in naira and buy it from an easily verifiable source. The system is rotten.

105mm is not going to be destroying any tanks, but as BH is not rolling around in tanks its very much adequate to pulverize them.
One thing I hope we are doing is transfer of technologies and if not we need to have a dedicated team of engineers stripping these vehicles so we can reverse engineer these things, a country as big as Nigeria should Atleast be able to be producing its own guns, howtizers, turrets e.t.c.

Remember, our voters register has 82m. Voter turnout last time was less than 30m.

That 200m estimated population of Nigeria is grossly far from the actual

Slightly clearer photos of Seaward Defence Boat 3.

This is a really beautiful looking ship, big congratulations to the ship's designers.

The empty spaces by the side are hangars for the ship's rigid inflatable boats.

Stealthy design employed on this ship.

The boat gives us a good idea what a future Nigerian navy OPV or Corvette would look like.

The SDB 3 seems like a design we can scale up to a Corvette, for now though we need to get it in the water and produce it in number.

The coastal railway benefits Nigeria first, the South to North projects benefit us but also China, and guess who we get loans from.
The rail that runs to the interior of the country from the coast is beneficial to the Chinese because it aids in resource extraction (from both the North and Niger), clearly, however, the coastal railway is the most economically beneficial to Nigeria.
