tbliss22: Funny enough, those agitating for war are the "indomie" generation kids who know nothing about the last civil war held in Nigeria. Op you've said it all
By His grace, we will pass through this current phase of hate speeches and agitations around us. The FG needs to wake up to her responsibilities asap to avoid breakdown of law and order.
Every human will right functioning brain will understand that IPOB guys felt cheated but are only handling the issue in a wrong way. I believe their full involvement in upper-class politics can make them earn the place of presidency within a short time.
Yes, FG has failed in so many areas, but the larger responsibilities remain with we the citizens.
War is not a good thing to experience and taking a look at countries that had it in the past. Some are still suffering its consequence. Our ladies will suffer more because rape cases will be top notch.
Finally, let's just be optimistic things get back to normal soon. But the barriers to entry into mainstream Nigerian politics is too high for the common folk. It needs to be brought down so that anyone who is interested can run instead of the exclusive political class. INEC can change the rules allowing for independent candidates or peope unaffiliated with the major parties to get in the game. That right there is true democracy. |

QueenSekxy: hmmm something like what OGA? I am a student of history and if there is something it teaches us is that when you have a significant part of your population young and unemployed then you are sitting on a keg of gun powder that can explode under the right circumstances. Look at the Arab spring in Tunisia, Egypt and the others and you have similar issues with present day Nigeria. According to the national bureau of statistics, half of Nigerians are between the ages of 15 and 34 and a large part of this group are unemployed and most likely disgruntled. Then you mix that up with massive domestic issues and that's almost a recipe for disaster. |

I came across this powerful posting via a family member and it was very sobering. CONSEQUENCES OF WAR :UNDERSTAND YOUR CHOICES. _WHEN THE HATE SPEECHES MATURE TO FU LL BLOWN WAR NOTE THE FOLLOWING ABOUT THE PEOPLE YOU KNOW AND LOVE:_*
1. The 14 to 45 year old males will be bearing arms directly whether or not they like it. About half of them will die within the first year of conflict. At least 30% of females in this age range will be raped and probably killed.
2. The bulk of 0 to 13 year olds will grow up as orphans. 10% will be killed in the first year and another 50% will perish from neglect in subsequent years.
3. The population above from 46 to 65 years will have their dreams finally destroyed and will die out rapidly from lack of a will to survive the hardship and stress.
4. The population above 66 years will have no support to survive and will die slow lonely deaths, some through starvation and neglect.
5. Crime rates will multiply ten fold given the unbridled access to arms and ammunition. There will be no safe havens given current trends.
6. Life expectancy will drop to 21 years from the current 47 years.
7. If the conflict lasts longer than one year the worlds largest refugee problem would have been created. Nigerians will flee into Niger, Chad, Benin Republic and Cameroon. A one way journey for most as these countries are completely unprepared for the potential influx of humiliated Nigerians.
8. Through CNN, Aljazeera, and other media houses we will become the global laughing stock with no idea of what next to do.
9. Present day uncompromising voices will run away to safety. Shamelessly so. The afore mentioned victims will be drawn from ordinary folk.
*No one (North, South, East, or West, etc) will be immune.*
*BETTER TO TALK PEACEFULLY NOW WHILE WE CAN AND HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY. _EVERY ARTICLE OF RELATIONSHIP AS A NATION CAN BE NEGOTIATED PEACEFULLY._*
*NON-PARTISAN WARNING.*
This powerful message is about the insanity of war. Please let's continue to circulate and share it as widely as possible, trusting God that it will make those ignorantly beating the drums of war to come to their senses. Copied I looked and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine, and plague, and wild beasts of the earth. - Revelations 6 : 8

mizlolar: Please i need ur help. Am having challenges in area of relationship. I have the problem of ending up with men who are nothing but gold diggers. They seem good from the start but before a few months, they will turn into pests. I dont know what is responsible for this. I just need a man who ll love me on the basis of who i am not what i have. I am from a well to do family, I am the only daughter of my parents and my dad is late, I actually inherited quite a lot and initially it seemed like a blessing until I got older.
All the Guys i ve met so far re fake displaying fake love just to get hold of what is in my possession. I will give you a little insight so you can understand what I am going tru. Around 2013, my then fiance kidnapped himself and because i already knew he was too needy and then their was a lot of inconsistencies in the story so i ignored the kidnappers who were demanding for 700k ransom. The guys showed up 2 weeks later fuming without any injuries or even shedding any weight
He was ranting and saying all sorts like how wicked i was and how i abandoned him to die. I had to break it off immediately because he was beginning to sound like i was his mother and father joined together. The next relationship went quite the same way.
The guy sold my car and came up with stories of how he was robbed at onipanu by palm-grove. unfortunately for him, i had a tracker which had its own inbuilt battery, so when they disconnected the car battery thinking they have disabled the tracker, they gaffed. the car was subsequently tracked down to shagamu at a hotel managed by his cousin. these are just the few recent ones. There are many more experiences that i wouldn’t bother you with but I am tired. the worst is that some will even want to move in with me because of the comfort of my place. Its really frustrating. My mum said i should stop driving but its nearly impossible for me to get around lagos without a car.
I simply stopped using the big cars and got a Toyota matrix and i even had to drive myself so it dosnt look like i am the one attracting the wrong men and scaring away the good ones yet i haven’t been lucky.
I am not looking for a millionaire, I just want a man with a little dignity and value not the ones who will start demanding for loans or come up with stories within months of how their visa was stuck or how their mother was diabetic and needed money for blood transfusion. I have heard a lot of such stories and i am tired.
I dont know if my mum is right that i am scaring away the right ones with my lifestyle. Honestly, i dont even live flamboyantly neither do I club. I am in my early 30’s and i really need to settle down.
Plz help me with ideas on how to stop attracting gold digging shameless men. As at now, 4 guys re on my neck including head of admin in my firm but they are all my subordinates and I don’t want a scandal. Thank u.
Please advice. I don't need abuse from you guys... Thanks Wow!!! Wish you the best. |

Asari has made ckear that Nija does not belong to yhe east or south but the hausas and tje yorubas.but painfully our people fail to see all this..The north control the oil sectores, allow the yorubs to house their headquater and collect taxes, they allow our seaports in warri, sapela, onne and calanar to die but keep on sighni g more contracts for additional seaport in badahry and lagos..Today the seaports in lagos are overwelmed and instesd of them to divert tfaffic they cjoose to destoy houses and bild bonded terminals..Today lagos is filled up and ogun is benefitting as a result of this cheatting arrangments.so that is why you got such silly reply from the poor fellow cos is an already laid rhetoric they will reply us whenever we raise topics like this. Man there is so much wrong with this statement that it take a while to unpack but I will only address your false assertion that the North and the West see the South and east as spoils of war to exploit there resources. First of all, the South East has no resources okay? It's the South South and even then oil exploration is no longer done over there but several kilometres in the sea. Number 2, if you want a seaport why don't you go borrow money and build your own seaport instead of waiting for the federal govt. Why don't you people find a way to blame your local leaders? The Fed govt has made concession after concessions to you people and your leaders embezzled it yet not a peep from you guys. It's always finger pointing at the North. |

itsdumebi: Below is a letter made available to PoliticsNGR, written by Charlyboy Oputa to Igbos warning them over the Agitation for Biafra. It reads;
Letter To Fellow Biafrans: I know some of my Igbo brothers and sisters are not happy with me simply because I have not used My Brand as CharlyBoy to advocate for the clamour of The Biafran state.
However, like I always say, there is more than one way to achieve a purpose. Though I may disagree with my Igbo brothers and sisters on the choice of rhetorics and methodology, our objectives are to a large extent identical because we all want to bring an end to the marginalisation of the common peoples, by the evil cabals who are holding Nigeria to a ransom and getting away with their obnoxious impunity and criminality.
Those who truly know and have followed me know that I am not a Group soul and I have always dared to follow the path least travelled in the continuous struggle to add value to my environment.
It is indeed laughable that despite being a native chicken, Nwa afo, son of Biafran soil with a full-blown Igbotic blood, I have been persistently labelled a wannabe Yoruba, Hausa, Tiv and an Ijaw man simply because I have consistently maintained that I believe in the unity of Nigeria.
To start with, I go like tell una sey you may not be totally wrong if you call me the man from all tribes in Nigeria. This is because I believe in the oneness of all Nigerian peoples. I believe that we have gotten to a point in our national history where a Yoruba man cannot live in isolation of an Igbo man. Likewise, an Ijaw man cannot live in isolation of a Hausa/Fulani man. All tribes in Nigeria today have become a mat of interwoven fibres that cannot be segregated. There have so far been intertribal marriages, intertribal business ownership, and intertribal partnership; and countless other intertribal collaborations and relationships in Nigeria.
For this reason, my question to those agitating for secession would be that if each tribe decide to secede from Nigeria today, what then would happen? Who would lead the new nations?
Will the people be happy? Will injustice be defeated in the new societies? Will criminality end in leadership positions? Will there be happiness in the new nations? Will the people finally have a country to call their own? – These are important questions we must ask ourselves and provide answers to before we even start to beat the drums of secession.
Having said that, I must state that whereas I am a Biafran at heart, what should engage our minds is not a sectional Biafra but a national Biafra. The fight for nationalists who will drive the discourse and the engagement necessary in answering the Nigeria National Questions must not be bogged down by petty sentiments, tribal colorations, and religious propaganda. The failure of the Igbo nation and all Nigerian tribes and peoples is the fault of influence peddlers and directionless decision makers.
The crux of the Biafran agitation is that my people are tired of a system that has perpetually failed them. My Igbo kinsmen are tired of a system that enriches the rich and impoverishes the poor. My people are tired of a system that glorifies impunity and criminality. My people are tired of decades of oppression and marginalization. However, the deeply rooted disgruntlement in Biafra land is not peculiar to my Igbo brothers and sisters alone; all the common peoples in the 500 tribes in Nigeria are victims of a failed system and persistent oppression. And this is essentially where I disagree with my brother Nnamdi Kanu that though Biafra is right, it should be a national cause and not a sectional one.
Let me be clear: The Brand CharlyBoy is not only a Global brand but also a national brand that should not be reduced to a sectional brand.
The problem in this nation is not the lack of a space where we all can coexist but the lack of men of integrity and progressive nationalists. We lack the right kind of leadership that will fight for the interest of the common people. And if at all there would be an agitation, it should be geared towards sanitizing the currently bastardized Nigerian system. Our agitation for Biafra should be about having the right leaders in positions of power and not power drunken people with an insatiable appetite to plunder and loot.
Therefore, my people, I insist that the suffering of the People from the South East is also the suffering of the people from the other geopolitical zones in Nigeria. And the oppression of the Igbo people is also the oppression of all Nigerian peoples. An injury to one is an injury to all. A Biafra state is not going to change the players of the game, it will only exacerbate the sufferings of the victims of the game.
In conclusion, my people, let us dutifully work ourselves back into reckoning by fighting for Fairness, Justice, and Equality for all Nigerians; Not Ibos Only; Yorubas Only or Hausas Only but all Nigerians.
