I thought I'd just use this to help enlighten those still relying on the LAW/Old Covenant: the Ten Commandments; COMPULSORY Tithing/Holy days/Sabbath days/Holidays; Church Traditions/Rules/Routines and Activities, etc to be Saved or Please God in general.

The New testament is VERY CLEAR on this subject; and for THOSE who have EAR to HEAR:

He said he was BLAMELESS/PERFECT SERVING UNDER the Law, BUT later he had to COUNT the LIFE UNDER the Law as LOSS:

The right church for every true believer/follower of Jesus is a "local church" with a Godly, Christlike Leader(s).

Suffice to say, though, that I personally do not believe in the common "denominational church" pattern/system, because what is in the New testament of the Bible are Local Churches planted by the Apostles, Not Denominations (i.e Paul planted independent Local Churches; also the letters in the book of Revelation were also addressed to Elders of independent local churches NOT to a G.O or Bishop of a Denomination). However, I strongly believe that I am ONE with every TRUE believer IN Or OUT of every Christian denomination or local church in the World.

To know whether a Church is SAFE to worship, we've got to check out the Leaders first, to see if they are Christlike (especially in terms of Humility, Money and Popularity with the World, etc). For instance, if it's a denomination, of course, the FIRST person to check out would be the Founder/Head Pastor, etc (because all the members are looking up to him as the right example of Christ). Then to be followed by the Elders/leaders of the local church we are.

If the Leader(s) are good examples of Christ in terms of their LIFESTYLE, NOT just in Words: Bible Knowledge/Doctrine, then we can be sure it's right, even though there might be some Judas(es) and Demas(es) among the members (to deal with them wisely, and not become like them).

Alas, over Five years ago, I had to step away from the local church I used to attend (a district/branch of a Big/Popular Church), NOT because I was HOLIER than them, but in Jesus Name, I couldn't agree with Leader(s) in MAJOR areas I've mentioned above: with the HEAD first, then local Elders too.

We become the examples of whomever we follow, and will END UP in the same place:

Let them alone: they be BLIND LEADERS of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, BOTH shall fall into the ditch. (Hell)

It's true we shouldn't "forsake the gathering of our brethren", but it also says we should COME OUT OR TURN AWAY from some certain type of people:

Now we COMMAND YOU, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye WITHDRAW YOURSELVES from Every Brother (maybe a Pastor/Prophet) that walketh DISORDERLY, and NOT after the tradition which he received of us.

So, we've got to be balanced to be Saved.

It's good for us to Study the Scriptures, Pray and ask God for LIGHT so as to ESCAPE the END TIME Deception that is Powerful or Strong enough to GET even the ELECT, if possible. (Matt. 24:24)

Phil.3.18 - For MANY, of whom I have often told you and now tell you even WITH TEARS, walk as ENEMIES of the Cross of Christ.

Phil.3.19 - Their END IS DESTRUCTION, their god is their BELLY, and they glory in their shame, with MINDS SET ON EARTHLY THINGS.

Therefore, we've got to be on the ALERT: seeking God for Grace in Jesus to endure All things:

If we are true Spiritual Christians (followers of Jesus), it won't take long before we SPOT true Men of God from a multitude of Wolves in Sheep's Clothing (Self-seeking Pastors/Prophets) of our day.

One thing about this True Ones is that their Main Goal is to glorify Jesus, NOT their OWN NAMES, TO MAKE MONEY Or TO ADVANCE their Religious Kingdoms (Called Churches)

My brother, the only solution is to surrender completely to Jesus, not about more church things: I mean surrender your "entire" L-I-F-E to Him.

Let him decide everything, then you have nothing to lose: but you'll have God's will on Earth and in Heaven too.

One disadvantage of posting this here is that you're sure to get at least some junk.

Even many or some whose problems are to some extent or in a sense greater than yours will like to exercise their "talent" as a motivational speaker.

Remember Job's case, he needed God not deliverance. God allowed those things to humble him further, and he became better person in the end, especially spiritually:

We would think it might be a GREAT idea for God to permit a person that has been to HEAVEN/HELL to come back to life and WARN people to REPENT.

But Jesus would say NO. (Luke 16:28)

But WHY, won't that be Fantastic?

Because they have The Bible, especially the NEW TESTAMENT; and if they won't Believe, Study and Obey the Words of Jesus written in The Bible, then NEITHER will they Hear/Believe a MAN that has Gone And Come back FROM HELL.

It was Jesus that told the story of a certain Rich Man that DIED, went to Hell, and was in torment:

And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in TORMENTS, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

After trying to "NEGOTIATE" with Abraham if he could get Lazarus to get him few drops of Water to COOL OFF his tongue and was DENIED, then:

Luke.16.27 - And he said, 'Then I BEG YOU, father, to send him to MY FATHER'S HOUSE--

He was trying to SUGGEST a better METHOD of Evangelism: so that Lazarus from Paradise would go as an Evangelist:

Luke.16.28 - for I have FIVE brothers--so that he may WARN THEM, lest they ALSO COME into this PLACE OF TORMENT.'

He actually didn't want his SIBLINGS also to End up in Hell with him.

BUT Abraham said:

Luke.16.29 - But Abraham said, 'They have Moses and the Prophets (i.e The Bible); let them hear them.' (Let them READ and OBEY the Words of Jesus: in Matthew, Mark, Luke, John)

Moses and the Prophets simply means the Scriptures--the Old testament (maybe a part), of which was ONLY available at that time.

But now we have THE BIBLE (The Old and New testament: Genesis to Revelation)

So, the Rich Man continued:

Luke.16.30 - And he said, 'No, father Abraham, but if SOMEONE GOES to them FROM THE DEAD, they will REPENT.'

Wow, this Rich Man in Hell had just ONE MESSAGE in mind for his LOVED ONES on Earth:

And that is, "to REPENT".

But Abraham replied him:

Luke.16.31 - He said to him, 'If they DO NOT Hear Moses And The Prophets (to Study And Obey THE BIBLE), "neither" will they be convinced if Someone Should Rise FROM THE DEAD.'"

God's Word is FAR MORE important than the words of OUR beloved Religious Men, whether they've GONE to Heaven/Hell Before or Not. But alas, people would rather prefer to ONLY listen and believe their gentle-looking, ELOQUENT Church founders, Pastors, Prophets, etc WITHOUT diligently Testing/Checking Out in the Bible to be SURE they are PERFECT, just as the BEREAN CHRISTIANS dealt terribly with Paul and other Apostles, and they became SURE. Act 17:11

Surely, many in Hell still have this Prophetic Message to people: REPENT, and NOT Come "Here".

May we humble ourselves to "escape" Dead Religion of Men/Churches that don't lead to REAL REPENTANCE, but just A FORM of Godliness:

I want people to see what this organization really thinks of you. Behind all those loaded language, if you listen carefully you will truly understand what they mean.

Dear friend, what actually matters is that we FOCUS on believing and Obeying Jesus Words in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John to be Saved: as Doers NOT just Hearers and Speakers/Teachers, deceiving our OWN selves.

All these theories about this, that and the other groups/organizations are not necessarily profitable cos they just lead us to endless empty talks: I want to prove that MINE is BETTER; You want to prove to us that yours is MUCH better; and other person wants to prove that his is MUCH MORE BETTER than the rest:

It's all empty!

Bearing good fruits through Obedience to Jesus is the MAIN THING, not many words.

The kingdom of God is NOT just words but POWER (To live Holy and overcome Evil).

The Bible says the devil and his servants (False Pastors/Prophets) usually assume the form of the true LIGHT in other to "perfectly" DECEIVE:

Surely, many would not be easily fooled to ACCEPT a full glass of POISON; however, it would rather take God's Grace to have discernment to REJECT, when FEW drops of that same poison is injected in a fruit (say an Apple, for instance).

Likewise, many wouldn't be fooled EASILY if the devil and his servants come with a gospel with strange patterns: different bibles, terminologies/names, doctrines, beliefs, etc. Of course, they know that not many would be deceived with such, that's why they need to use the SHEEP'S CLOTHING (Correct/Mixed doctrines) to "skillfully" deceive MANY, and even the Elects if possible:

Sheep's clothing simply means the use of the correct things: Bible, Names, Doctrines, etc.

Now, remember WE SHALL know them by their FRUITS: Not by their Correct Doctrines, Signs and Wonders/Miracles, Bible Knowledge, Prosperity, Mega- Churches, and other things the False Pastors/Churches use to ARREST most people's HEARTS today.

"Take heed that NO ONE Deceives you", was the FIRST thing Jesus mentioned when asked about the Signs of the End of the World (See Matt. 24:4)

Therefore, Deceptions or Lies of Devil/Pastors is NOT to be joked with: if we're Serious, though.

Unfortunately, many (if not most) of our beloved Pastors/Prophets are subtly in Sheep's Clothing; hence, many of us are still Victims. And we are victims because we are not particularly Serious about Jesus/Eternal Life.

Our priorities are most times Wrong: Exalting Pastors above the Bible and the Holy Spirit, and sometimes exalting the Pastor and the Bible above Jesus himself: equally wrong.

About their Fruits: many of these Great Preachers we respect so much are NOT Disciples of Jesus, hence, the followers too are NOT.

Because we CAN'T BE ABOVE our Masters. We'll become like them sooner or later.

Before we can consider a Person as a True Servant of God, first, we need to know the Scriptures really well to see the REAL LIFE of Jesus, and people like Paul (Acts 17:11):

Wherefore I beseech you, be ye FOLLOWERS of me.

1 Cor. 11:1
Be ye followers of me, EVEN AS I ALSO am of Christ.

NOT many Religious Men/Church leaders can honestly say what was said up there.

Second, what's these Men's attitude to Money/Material things? Is he Christlike or the other way round?

If he's out to Major MORE on some MIXED Old Covenant gospel, especially on Tithing/First fruits to make Money; and also major on Healing, Signs and Wonders to attract GREAT CROWDS of people, then I would Turn Away. 2 Tim. Chap. 3

Jesus and his Apostles taught Cheerful Giving, Not Tithing, First fruits, etc. (See Matt. 5:42, Luke 6:38, 2 Cor 9:7)

...NOT grudgingly, or of necessity: for God LOVES a Cheerful Giver.

Also, what's his attitude to the Honour of Men/Popularity?

If he doesn't preach strongly against Sins/Worldliness to avoid LOSING his Members, then he's not of Jesus.

Jesus and his true followers couldn't care less for people leaving them in any case, because they are not out to make Money through Tithes and Offerings. (See John 6:66, 1 John 2:19)

Lastly, I wouldn't follow Pastors/Prophets dabbling into Politics. Because Jesus and his apostles loved and respected people in such, BUT didn't HOLD hands with them. See Luke 13:31-32, Rev. Chapters 17 and 18

No doubt, many will not be pleased with many things here BUT:

For there shall Arise False Christs, and FALSE PROPHETS, and shall shew GREAT SIGNS AND WONDERS; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall DECEIVE THE VERY ELECT.

Let's beware men; even good men, only Jesus is Good:

Miracles, Prosperity, Signs and Wonders; and even Correct Doctrines should not be more important than the Life of Jesus and His Words (as in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John), otherwise, we would get TERRIBLY DECEIVED by these Strong Men.

There is no magic formula anywhere, all we need to do is to submit to Jesus as Lord and Saviour, and constantly abide in Him by FAITH to overcome Sins and be Saved.

Many believers don't even know that Anger and Depression are disobedience: Sins towards God. Many times we justify our anger, depression and other sins in general as "WEAKNESSES" (not calling them Sins):

These things have I SPOKEN unto you, that my JOY might REMAIN in you, and that your JOY might be FULL.

1 Thessalonians 5:16 KJV
REJOICE Evermore. (a COMMAND not a suggestion)

Phil.4.4 -
Rejoice in the Lord ALWAYS. Again I will say, REJOICE! (again, a command)

Therefore, as long as we continue painting our Sins, and say something like: "Oh, that's just a little 'weakness' of mine, I just seem to get depressed and angry when plans go wrong"; then, we shall NEVER get victory.

For instance, imagine a person that Steals regularly, and says, "Well, if I can't pay my bills, then I'll just get a GUN to make ends meet, killing and stealing is just my WEAKNESS". (It's NOT a Sin right?)

OR

Another person says, "Brother, anytime I just see these seductively dressed girls, I can't help but lust after them, as well as when these TEMPTING pictures/websites pop up on my screen while browsing, I just can't help but click on them to See; lusting with my EYES is my little weakness".

No doubt, these set of people will NEVER overcome because Sins are just weaknesses. Likewise, Anger, Fear, Depression, Pride, Unbelief, etc are Sins, NOT just weaknesses.

We might have issues or situations in life, though, that might cause sorrows or grieves of the heart. However, by trusting in God, those emotions must be contained to avoid slipping into depression: losing all hope/giving up, looking gloomy or sad for very long, getting easily angry, unfriendliness/maliciousness, sometimes feeling like ending ones life (suicidal), etc.

Romans 12:12 KJV
Rejoicing in hope; patient in Tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

All that is a NO GO AREA for True Followers of Jesus, cos Jesus wouldn't live that way. Or can he? If yes, then that's "another jesus" NOT the Real Christ Jesus.

To get over these, the first step is to acknowledge that they are Sins: disobedience to God. Then the next thing is to Repent and TURN AWAY from them: asking God for Power to OVERCOME all temptations.

Although, we must have strong WILL (to choose not to Sin), couple with God's Power in order to overcome.

Even the so-called the Clinical Depression can be overcome by the Power in Jesus Name.

My brethren, COUNT IT ALL JOY when ye fall into divers temptations;

We've got to fear God and seriously seek to GET RID of sins/disobedience that will disqualify us from entering God's Kingdom:

Honestly, I've got some things bothering me or things I'm trusting God for, BUT I've learnt to Rejoice always (good or bad times). See Romans 8:28

Because I know God is in control: and he will work all things out for my good.

Lol.. So the prayer Jesus made in the garden before his arrest was done with a smile on His face ? When Jesus cried at Lazarus grave, that was what?
Even Jesus experienced anger, so who am I to judge someone experiencing depression in his soul? See sir, it is easy to just teach out of written knowledge but we experiencially know what things are, we'd stop judging.

The best we can do is pray for them. Howbeit it, I also agree with you that certain depression is demonic, expecially for people who gave satan a loophole.

See it to see the difference between depression and having Sorrow(s) or grieves: the Bible even says that we should MOURN for our Sins, and blessed are those that Mourn (for spiritual/righteousness sake) for they shall be Comforted. Matt 5:4

James 4:9 KJV
Be Afflicted, and Mourn, and WEEP: let your laughter be turned to Mourning, and your joy to Heaviness.

Friend, if still don't agree with me on this, no problem; but hopefully, we'll agree to major on obedience to Jesus according to Matthew, Mark, Luke, John to be Saved.

Moreover, those sorrows, burdens or mood swings should not lead to "Depression".

Depression is when you start getting easily irritated or angry; jealous or envious; feeling like giving up, cowardly, etc...

Ultimately leading to gross Sins or even suicide in some people.

Hence, Depression is A Sin, NOT sorrows and the likes you mentioned.

Yes, there are emotions, but they don't RULE US; I don't see Jesus getting depressed: so, I'm seeking to follow is example by resisting the temptation when tempted.

If we want to follow Jesus, we must be Ready for WAR! No, I don't mean physical war like fighting or quarrelling with the WICKED or people in general: we should be gentle and always seek to be at PEACE with the good and the EVIL by all means. However, we are to FIGHT the good fight of FAITH:

What we fight against are the SINS/LUSTS/CORRUPTIONS in our flesh: the love of Money and the World; the love of the Honour of Men; the Pride of Life, Selfishness, etc., in other to OVERCOME the devil.

Obedience to Jesus is next to Victory over Satan:

For your OBEDIENCE is come abroad unto ALL MEN...
[20] And the God of PEACE shall bruise Satan UNDER YOUR FEET shortly...

Alas, many of us focus on the Wrong Enemies (humans): fighting over passing things of the world like taking people to COURT, arguing, abusing, etc. Hence, we are defeated: frustrated, "depressed" and thereby SINFUL; unable to OVERCOME the devil and Sins.

John 18:36 KJV
Jesus answered, My kingdom is NOT of this WORLD: if my kingdom were of this world, then would MY SERVANTS Fight...

Now, do we know that DEPRESSION is a Sin?

It's as much a Sin as grumbling and complaining, backbiting, ANGER, PRIDE, Sexual Sins, etc.

Depression is a result of lack of Faith and disobedience to God:

Philippians 4:4
Rejoice in the Lord ALWAYS: and AGAIN I say, Rejoice.

Rejoicing always in Jesus, NOT in our circumstances, feelings/emotions, endeavors: No, those things are subject to CHANGE anytime;

Jesus is the Solid Rock! He doesn't Change.

Hence, we got to Repent and get our Eyes Fixed on Jesus first.

We don't fight Men for earthly things in general, except to "graciously" EXPOSE LIES of False Men/Religions/Churches as Jesus CHASED OUT the MONEY CHANGERS to bring GLORY God and His Kingdom.

If we don't FIGHT VIOLENTLY to overcome, we shall not be qualified to ENTER God's kingdom: NOT just about doing Religious/Church activities, but really OVERCOMING Evil with Good!

We need to Submit and Obey Jesus; seek for Grace/Power of the Holy Spirit to overcome:
