Y0ruba: Stewpid fook, these are more document from the ‘archives’, I hope they are enough proof for you. Somethings I have to point out about this your self damaging document prepared by a senior Yoruba man.. Akintoye claim Benin invasion/occupation of Yoruba lands started probably in the 15th century (it may be earlier than that but let’s stick with 15th).. so counting from 15th century to 19th century when the British finally freed you is about 500yrs!! Which means Edo people ruled Yoruba for at least 500 years!! OMG 500yrs!! You yorubas were our subjects for 500yrs!! Not even the British could rule anybody for that long. The Edo people achieved something no other race was able to do. We ruled Yoruba for 500yrs!! Another point is during that long period our soldiers and administrators stationed in Yoruba lands were definitely screwing and breeding your women. So therefore there’s chances that 70% of the entire Yoruba race have Edo blood in them. Even some of you here may be Edo descendants but you are lost!! |

Y0ruba: You folks totally lack intelligence, is this a genetic thing with Edo/Bini people?
Your thinking is subjective and your level of comprehension is very very basic. You chose to pick and choose what suits your narrative.
- Did you both see the part I highlighted in red markings describing how ineffective Bini army was? That an explorer at the time described them as ‘cowardly’?
- Did you see the part where Bini army was defeated across places they got to?
- Did you see where it said Ogedengbe conquered deep into Bini and was appeased by your king?
- Did you see where it says Bini expansionism was only on the southern part of Ekiti? Where it said Bini struggled with Owo? Did you see where a small town called Ewu messed up Bini army? Did you see how it described Bini as a struggling army that could not conquer its neighbouring towns.
- Did you also know the screenshot you have quickly rallied around and approved of was culled from ‘Source: Akintoye S. A., The North-Eastern Yoruba Districts and the Benin Kingdom, Journal of the Historical Society of Nigeria, Historical Society of Nigeria? The same article you shxtted on as a Yoruba fable few pages back?
Also do you see how you gleefully walked right into a trap and displayed how stupid all of you are? I said it before you have no sense.. each words that come out of ur mouth betrays you. So this document you posted was prepared by a Yoruba man.. lol. A Yoruba man that was trying hard to discredit what a European explorer Mr. Bradbury wrote about Benin night and power. Did u say this out of shame? Your Yoruba absolute ruler practically prostrated for Saraki and you say it’s ok because Saraki is debate president? So if your son becomes president I should assume you will be prostrating for him abi? Wow you are so shameless.. upon all the closeness and time Edo ruled you, you people didn’t learn the importance of pride and honour from us? That’s how another of your mumu brother was comparing a great Oba of Benin that kept his honour and glory till his death, comparing him to your Yoruba Obas that kneeled down to collect egunje from the British.. very shameful. Now tell me, now that we are into many years after those incidents which past African rulers are now being hailed as heroes? We are a brave and warrior people, Yorubas is not!! |

Y0ruba: Stewpid fook, these are more document from the ‘archives’, I hope they are enough proof for you. Chai this biggest Yoruba mumu has done it again.. I advised and warned you not to shoot yourself in the foot u no hear. U post another document that only at best talk of Yoruba weak resistance against their Edo colonial masters lol. Don’t you read and understand the message behind a document before you use it? Are u that daft? Well for lecture sake I will interpret the document for U since u no get brain. 1. In the 19th century Benin was still in control of vast part of Yoruba lands and people.. 2. Local Yorubas citizens rioted against their colonial masters killing many Edos. 3. Benin sent a punitive expedition into Yoruba lands to punish them for the riots and killing of Edos.. 4. The punitive expedition was successful. Yoruba leaders were executed, their princes taken prisoners to Benin. 5. Despite the fact that Benin was in a decline during this century it was still able to hold onto its Yoruba colonies till the British freed them. I only have one issue with this document where it says Benin had no army.. if truly we had no army how were we able to be beating and brushing the Yorubas? How were we able to war the British? A war that was the toughest for the British in all of west Africa.. Advice for the mugu called YOruba, always read a document and understand it before you use it. Posting a document that talked about Benin decline is nothing. All great empires declined at a time in their history and Benin is not different. Even the British empire declined eventually. However, when Benin was in decline Oyo was long dead and decayed, its bones turned to dust.. Ibadan was decimated by a combined force of Benin warriors and their Ekiti kparakpo subjects. Long live Benin Kingdom.. Long live the Edo people.. Long live the Oba of Benin!! |

I hope you know that apart from colonial papers, intelligence reports & missionary papers, most of the things [apart from government declassified documents] that make up the archives & museums were gathered during these periods of 50s/60s/70s when the Nigerian Research Scheme was done? .
In fact, I am sure you do not know archival & museum records are not favourable to the Bini history you & your Oba want to push at all Heartbroken Yoruba the document u posted done in the 50s clearly says Benin was a super power and you are not. Y0ruba: This is the reason I said you are not very bright ans not well read.
I have posted several sources here proving my claims and you have yet to post anything yet you demand for more proofs neverminding that you dismissed the sources I have posted from top-rated scholars as stupid. The only excerpts you have posted were from one article written by a Yoruba man which you tried to conceal its citation and when I posted it, you quickly tried to play a hand I had earlier anticipated. You’ll need to do better to outsmart a Yoruba person in all matters except for prostitution of course
Now as per the emboldened in your crappy post, if you want proof, you’ll have to read all the works done by researchers who worked on the Bini Historical Scheme to see their verdict. Also, if you want to, go back on couple posts to see what Prof. Horton had to say about the entire research in ‘Ile-Ife: A Reassessment’. The professor collated all the argunenrs for Ife & those for Bini and disected each using mostly evidences from dated archeological findings. If you want proof, look for and read the stockpile of papers or look Horton’s work I posted few pages back. That is the best I can do for you. I don't need proof from you about Benin greatness.. I'm Edo and as such i know we are great. I'm here to put you in your place, and that place is a place for the conquered. You will remain there in history as a conquered tribe.. I didnt make it up, its all there in archives for you to see and as a researcher that you claim to be I guess you must have seen them.. |
Culture › Re: Oba Of Benin Visits Ooni Of Ife by davidnazee: 1:32am On Jun 04, 2018 |
Y0ruba: LOL it is bad that, on top of everything wrong with your skewed mind, you are not very smart.
The article pointed out that:
1. Bini was a kingdom & not an entire.
2. Also, the sponsorship was financed by region. Yoruba was West not Southwest. Igbos were East not South East. Rivers, Delta, Bini formed the South.
3. Also, the paper emphasised that Bini power was much more evident in Igbo lands & Niger-Delta.
Finally, that paper was a hypothesis upon which the research was based upon. At the end of it, parts of the hypothesis proved true while a lot of it turned out to be false. You’re not well read, smh. See your life na.. if it was false so why you no show the outcome proving it was false that Benin was a super power? Till you do it will be assumed by all that Benin was a super power compared to Yoruba and ruled over Yoruba people.. because that's what your post shows.. and to show how much of a mugu you are, the document does not say Benin wasn't an empire, it says Benin stretches fro Lagos to river Niger. and that Benin was the most powerful. If that is not an empire then you are indirectly saying Benin Kingdom included areas from Lagos through Yoruba lands up to River Niger which is good for me lol.. funny thing is that the document is titled yoruba history but first it pays homage to Benin Kingdom.. We were the boss and you were the servants. The only people you succeed in deceiving here are you fellow yorubas like babaramota, olu, moneywoman, moorish and other yorubas.. |

BabaRamota1980: So I want to remind us all that the bottom line of all this is the hoax used centuries ago to pacify Igodomigodo and impose a foreigner over them to rule and give civilization to the barbaric uncivilized Edo society.
That hoax is Ekaladheran, a condemned fugitive that superstitious claimed became king in Ife and changed his identity to Izoduwa, Omoduwa, Oduduwa and all kind of .....duwas.
We need to revisit Ekaladeran. If you all recall I said in my previous analysis that there was more to come to further demystify the superstition and remove the remaining fear from the minds of these Edos.
Do you all recall that not long ago Edo chiefs brought out some otumokpo and displayed it publicly with chants and claims that those enslaving Edo women into prostitution locally and abroad and the girls that partivipate in the trade will meet with tragedy if they did not desist immediately?
According to them the last time the fetish came out was 400yrs ago. I wonder when was last time before that...and the time before that....
But the point is that Edo has a deep practice in witchcraft and they believe completely in its power to manifest.
So Im thinking to myself, as dumb and outlandishly twisted as the Ekaladheran story is, why would the people be so stuck on it in the face of its rejection by scholars around the world? Then I thought about this otumokpo they brought out recently.
Is it possible the Edo society are acting under fear of questioning the authencity of Ekaladheran, and risk the curse of this otumokpo manifesting in their life?
This is my theory and it might sound funny at first untill you hear the rest of the Ekaladheran saga.
So lets share some more....
I want first to build a background against which I will dramatize the impracticality of an Ekaladheran even stepping foot in Ile Ife, much more being celebrated there as a king.
1 - Edo warriors, we are told, demolished any kingdom or people in their way. They ruled the entire coast East and West of Bight of Benin all the way to Ghana. They conquered all their neighbors...including Yoruba.
2 - Igala fought two wars with Bini. The first they defeated Bini, entered the Oba palace and seized his mask which they carried back with them to Idah. It remains in their possession till today, symbolic of their defeat over Edoland.
On their second war, Edo sent fresh young girls into the Igala warrior camp purposely to be defiled. Their goal being to pacify the Igalas to rethink their invasion and return back to Idah. The Igalas used the girls and then invaded Edo. Overpowered, they sent SOS to Portuguese for assistance. The Portuguese defeated Igala soldiers. Those Igala soldiers did not return home to Idah. They could not take back a message of defeat to their King. So they settled on the outskirts of Northern Edo in Ibaji area, located in Kogi today.
As pertains to Ekaladheran, we are told that he at one time was resident in Ughoton under concealed identity. An Edo chief happened to spot him and took the discovery back to the dimwit Ogiso father. The father sent out messenger to go tell him to return to Igodomigodo. Ekaladheran refused to go with the messenger. So Ogiso dispatched armies to go to Ughoton and forcefully bring him back. It is said that Ekaladheran and the Chiefs of Ughoton had dug trenches to swallow the Igodo Army. They perished and fearing for his life he left Ughoton and went on in his journey.
STOP!
Igodomigodo Army that is a formidable force along thousands of miles of coastal lands from Bight of Biafra to Slave Coast in Ghana, defeated by one small village?
Aaaah!! Kings of old had a protocol for conducting warfare. A defeated King goes on exile or commits suicide. Soldiers retain honor by dying at the warfront or never return home.
This freak Ogiso's Army was defeated in Ughoton and he remaind on throne. Where is his honor?
Oohh, almost forgot its Owodo...his queen already spent his honor in the bush, with chiefs.
We are told Ekaladheran headed to Ife and changed name to Oduduwa and then became King. He had many children in Ife. One of his children was Oranmiyan.
Who are the rest?
Oranmiyan returned to his father's homeland in Igodomigodo which he renamed Ile Ibinu. The Edos have retained the story of Ekaladheran and Oranmiyan since.
None of the other supposed children of Ekaladheran recall anyone in their ancestral line fitting the profile of Ekaladheran, whether before or after the claimed name rebranding.
As we know, Yoruba's Oduduwa is the son of Lamurudu.
Ancient Yoruba's root is interlinked with these people, Baruba (Borgu), Babur(Kanuri)... all have same traditional marks and facial features.
Igodomigodo has never featured as a root for Oduduwa at anytime in history.
So the other children, the brothers and sisters of Oranmiyan do not recollect of an Ekaledheran or an Ogiso background, nor an igodomigodo in their ancestry. This claim is limited only to those who Oranmiyan civilized in Edo.
In fact Oranmiyan returned to found Oyo...and even Oyo has never heard of an Ekaladheran in its ancestral lineage, orally or literally.
What is unique about Yoruba Obas is oriki. In addition to it they also have totem.
The Ogisos have no totem, nor oriki.
If Ekaladheran was a founding father in Ife, he would have been given an oriki, a totem...while alive, and after death would have been immortalized with a shrine or even deified. There is not a single shrine or praise song for Ekaladheran in Yorubaland.
Edos told us where he was born and where ended up becoming King but we havent heard if he died and where he died at and was buried.
So I must ask this of Edos...
Where is Ekaladheran buried? Is his head at Orun Oba Ado's crypt?
I need answer. Yorubas please be like the Edos, post documents to prove your claims and stop this your lies, myths and fables.. We the Edos don't waste our time dabbling in rubbish like you guys.. See your brother above just post a document that unfortunately for you details Edo as the greatest. |

Y0ruba: I do not know if you actually think before you type or if you read what you type for any modicum of sense before hitting the ‘submit’ button.
Your come backs are the most pedestrian & stupidest attempts at being sneaky. You must think other posters are slow & retarded Edo posters like yourself & those of you who are unintelligent enough to know & accept that your Oba’s tales are not supported by material & non-material gathered & studied for decades starting from the 50s/60s/70s.
We are not illiterates. There are little to no historians & archeologists of Edo/Bini origin who have done or published any works on Edo/Bini history and these are due to obvious reasons listed below:
1. Yoruba pioneered history in Nigeria. Google Ibadan School of History. The population, lead in adoption of western education & the Ibadan school put the ratio of scholars at a high number favourable to the Yoruba.
2. This poit is the most important. The Nigeria history research scheme of the 70s sponsored regionally led to years of extensive study of Bini history. Now the implication of this is that, Bini history was exhausted & there has been nothing else to add - in archeology, anthropology & history. So nobody goes to these fields & chooses to specialize in Edo/Bini studies, they may never even get to complete their PhD not to mention being regarded as an original scholar. Recent studies on Bini are mostly an agglomeration of past works to fit a narrative - this is something less scholarly. Ever wondered why after so mant decades your Oba’s book was the only book/paper on Bini & have you wondered why no historian was involved in its preparation or why they have yet to rate it after so many years in circulation?
In clear terms, there is no paper/book on Bini history/archeology because it has limited records and this as been thoroughly dealt with by Smith, Bradbury, Lloyd, Ryder - all neutral caucasians.
See the excerpt below & stop disgracing your generation with your unending unintelligent comments.
Also, all the research written from the 70s narrating Ife/Yoruba prominence to Bini were given, approved & stamped by your king & members of your royal family. This screen shot of the Benin study you posted doesn't say anything to dispute what my argument has been, that Benin was a super power compared to the Yoruba Kingdoms.. From the post you can see it says Benin was the only powerful Kingdom in southern Nigeria ruling from coast of river Niger through Yoruba lands to Lagos and beyond.. If you have more documents to discredit my argument please post it but if this is all you have to show then you are a big fool.. You post document that says Benin ruled Yoruba and you insulting me.. |

This people rely on Yoruba for everything - Kingship, Names, Religion & Arts. The paper was authored by a Yoruba man & I find it interesting that the fraudulent Bini man did not deride the paper as they have done with excerpts & citations listed here written by local & foreign scholars.
Would it be safe to conclude Bini has no history worth writing such that historians of Edo/Bini origin are not putting any work out of Bini/Edo history? See this mugu. Moneywomen17: omo Benin lasan lasan talk true are u still worshipping the many gods like sango ogun and osun that we impose on u hmm make you enjoy this one.. Just got it from my research.. "Eastern Yorubaland also felt the impact of its powerful eastern neighbor, Benin. When Benin invaded Ekiti between 1818-1823, the aim was to quell provincial revolt and regain control over the region’s economy. Indeed by reasserting control over the trade routes, which linked it with Yorubaland, Benin strengthened the position of its long distance traders, the Ekhengbo (from Ekhen Egbo) (ekhen, traders; egbo, forest). Akure and Benin traditions agree that the invasion of Akure was precipitated by a commercial dispute following an attack on a Benin tobacco trader, Ogonto, who was accused of violating an Akure law. Even though the information is scanty, it is possible to situate the Benin invasion at this time and the economic dispute at its root, within the context of the rise in the supply of slaves by the wars in Yorubaland and Hausaland. Benin traders would have desired to tap into the northern Yoruba slave fields as well as send foreign goods into the interior. They would have also wanted alternative markets, even if temporary, to counterbalance the disruptive effect of the Nupe political crisis on Benin’s trade with the Niger. Consequently, Benin soldiers, under Ologbosere Imaran and Ezemo Erebo, carried out punitive expeditions, which left so much destruction that the fear of Benin lingered on till the early years of colonial occupation. Several Ekiti, Akoko and Owo towns were sacked and in them were created Benin colonies under the Balekale (consuls). With the victory, Benin reasserted its control over trade in Ekiti, Owo and Akoko, and Benin enclaves in Owo, Akure, Ikere and Ado-Ekiti became the nexus of trade between Benin and Yorubaland. Both Akure and Idanre traditions agree that owing to Benin commercial activities, a nineteenth century ruler, Deji Gbogi and an influential woman, Olokoju both of Akure founded Alade village/market (near Idanre) as a meeting point for Ekiti, Idanre, Ondo, Owo, Ijebu, Benin and Ijesa traders. Imported items such as guns, salt and metal implements from Benin were sold as far as Ilesa, Ekiti and Ilorin. This earned the Ekhengbo the distinction of being called the “first long-distance traders in Ekiti.” Although the Akure king’s list seems to put Igbogi in an earlier century, the reference to the importation of guns would put his reign in the mid-nineteenth century. Most significant was that commercial metal products point to the position of Akure as a regional market. Immigrants into Ekiti also included traders, soldiers, administrators and their dependants from Benin. These colonists set up farm in the forest straddling the Akure-Idanre border and occupied what is now called the Ọgbọn Ado (Edo quarter) of Ado-Ekiti. Similarly slaves captured by the Benin from some Ado villages and some refugees were settled at Ikere where they established Ogotun, Afao, Are, Iluomoba and Agbado quarters, all named after their previous towns." |
