Abu Mikey:It will be nice if we follow the already set rules. The coordinator's yes should be yes and their no, No! An alteration in the set standard can cause continuous alteration and this will disorganise the whole thing. This we saw at the early stage of the NERD competition. Once we pass a stage, that decision i plead should stand. Thanks! |
Well done coordinators, i nominate Caracta, Obinoscopy & Uj_Sizzle. I can always trust the trio for a professional job as per this. I just hope they will be chanced to be available for the competition. |
Seun: There was some training but they refused to complete it because they felt they did not need it and other mods kept derailing the training thread until I got fed up and gave up on it.It looks like you no longer or you don't have control over your moderators. You, keep mentioning they are volunteers seems to me you don't kind of reward them for doing their job, hence, they feel they can do anything, anyhow and at any time. My simple advice to you sir, Change is the only constant thing anywhere in the world. The 'good' job done by these erring moderators in time past and present might be a major reason why you are reluctant to let them go, that is quite understandable. Notwithstanding, these guys are gradually folding this forum up. Yes! It might not be noticeable at the moment perhaps due to the population but i tell you, it is definately going to reflect in no time. If you doubt this, i challenge you to put up a poll and allow Nairalanders give their opinion about moderation here and by then, you will confirm what i am talking. If any moderator thinks he/she is too big to be corrected or adviced, then i suppose such being is too big to moderate here. A lot of Nairalanders are complaining for crying out loud! Do you mean all of them are wrong?? Please do something, there are thousands, i mean thousands of Nairalanders out there that will do a better job. Long Live Nairaland! |
The exact reflection of most ladies' attache to wealth and fame. No offence to credible ladies please... |
Suffering is an option, happiness is a choice. |
deols: Here is what I wrote on another thread, yesterday. That is the case sometimes and we know that but what is to be said of moderators that now live as if their lifes entirely depend on Nairaland. They vet decisions without looking beyond the present. How can a Moderator in her/his right mind ban someone till 2032?? Its disgusting! As you complain of stubborn members, also we have power-drunk Mods. Take it or leave it! |
lekkie073: mrs powerful moderator, can u tell us LGB's offence DAT made u ban him? That is the simple question ooo |
deols: ... I can never be bothered about someone who lies that he was banned just for viewing a thread and those who believe him. Then say what he did to be served a ban. At least he said his own side of the story. Seun did not have to apologise. He has done nothing wrong.I understand you don't own the forum else you won't be talking this shit! |
deejay_harry1: ... and another thing, this deactivate button ?? nawaooo... can u take it offI don't think that feature should be problem. If Nairalanders don't have reasons to use it, they won't! I understand Seun's position on this but the issue is that, you have to make the 'hardworking' controversial Mods realize the generality of the abused members are the source of your earning. Either you admit or not, the success story of this forum will not be complete without acknowledging the past and present members. So there is the need to keep giving them reasons to continue here. Let them understand this very well. I also think it is high time you formally and publicly addressed the users' complains about moderation here. Thanks. |
Seun: I'm very sorry about all these happenings.Medicine after death... Don't tell us you are just seeing this ![]() |
deejay_harry1: im beginning to hate nairaland nw....It is not about taking off deactivation button rather it is about the crop of lacklustre moderators we have here. |
I saw this somewhere on the internet today and i felt i should SHARE with Nairalanders. After i read it, i was helplessly laughing hard Check it out; https://cdn.physorg.com/newman/gfx/news/hires/aworkerofpol.jpg |

Davo93: UK Universities to go on strike. |
*I laugh in spanish* Even if their(ASUU) co-workers(SSANU, NASU & NAAT) admit this current strike is aimed at the personal gain of ASUU, this brings me to tell Nigerian students who are yet to understand what ASUU's "alledged struggle" is up to, to wake up from their slumber!!! I suppose by now, we can all see ASUU is not helping us in anyway but rather agitating for questionable welfare packages' improvement at the detriment of students future. As for FG, i dey come... ![]() |

Poor me,,, i have not gone beyond the shores of Naija... lols. Na small time e remain sha ![]() |
oluafolabi: I totally get you ma'am. But the issue is this. ASUU is making it look as if FG hasn't made any effort since the strike action began. I agree that they had an agreement and FG didn't fulfil any part of it.The bolded is one of the reasons i doubt the genuineness of ASUU's alledged demands. |
