Textbook KGB! .. I've often wondered what was running in Putin's mind all through the turmoil happening in the USA. Could this be another way of subverting the USA again in the run up to the elections this year? Even if Trump's diversionary tactics serve him well, I think Putin will be the bigger beneficiary. |

Qui sera sera, most of us might say, but the fervent prayers of the downtrodden and honest people of this country are surely materializing. .. let's not worry ourselves too much about where the new COS's allegiance will lie come 2023, his primary loyalty is to the President! In the grand scheme of things, who would've thought that our national affairs would take this turn, 30 days ago? It's barely one year into this regime and 3 years more to go. Who knows how many more twists and turns lay ahead? However slowly the wheels of progress of this country is turning, it will ultimately favour the lot of Nigerians. God's will must prevail. |

This is an epitome of the misplaced priorities of many African governments. Every year, they allocate huge sums of money to health, education and humanitarian services, with little else but 'white elephant' projects to show, and little impact in the lives of the commoners. Ironically, the water for handwashing was provided by the UNHCR! |

Politics › Re: Pressure Mounts On Buhari To Lockdown Nigeria For 2 Months by Day169: 8:52pm On May 07, 2020 |
It's like locking up the poultry pen after the chickens have escaped! For 2 months? .. the measure will be counter productive I'm sure. We lack the capacity for mass testing or isolation at this stage, besides more people will likely die from hunger related causes and other ailments. .. I think at the best is to allow the people to brave the virus and build some 'acquired immunity'. After all the death rate from the infection is about 5%.. .. we're all in God's hands now. |

sassysure: They do. It's our brothers in the govt that sell the mining right to them.
And they invite their brothers to help out.
It's not only miners. Go to Abuja and see quarrying companies.
The one in my area was given free to Turkish people by bala Mohammed and the chief is paid every month. We took them to court and the federal govt have been protecting them since. People's houses are cracking due to rock blasting.
As the time I knew last, we are seriously making headway as that area no be any how people dey there. They will pay dumorage before they go. It's really sad. Nigerians inhumanity to other Nigerians! |

Fasindo:

The only place that will go down if Kano goes down is d entire North.
Kano has nothing to benefit the South Educationally Kano is nothing compare to South. In terms of Market Southern markets like Alaba international, Onitsha Main Market, Ariara Main mkt Aba is bigger than all d markets in Kano. In terms industry South has bigger and better industries than Kano. South do not depend on kano to feed but only north depends on Kano to feed.
But anyway aboki will always be aboki That's the "herd" effect! |
