..the mudslinging has just begun. Now the host of "incredible" ministers are now searching for a credible candidate amongst themselves? There's truly no honour among these thieves!
..ouch! That's a blow below the belt, feels like a kick to one's balls! PS. ..hope he takes it in good faith sha, after all he makes a living from teasing others.
Dereformer: Yes. I am correct at President Osibanjo. Mr president appears to be a unifying factor in Nigeria.
The only way open to Mr president now is to invite the following people to a round table discussion, listen to each of them and then issue a final warning.
Invite:
(1) Nnamdi KANU
(2) leaders of Niger Delta militant
(3) Leaders of northern youths
(4) leaders of Igbo youths
(5) leaders of Yoruba youths
(6) leaders of south south youths
(7) leaders of middle belt youths.
My humble opinion.
Sounds ideal but rather impractical. How does one get the true representatives of the various tribes when their leadership have been hijacked by gangsters, warlords and selfish politicians. I feel that he should read the 'riot act' to all the so called nationalities and follow up with the sheer might of the federal government.
..pride goes before a fall, as the saying goes. The APC needs to borrow a leaf from PDP who promised to be in power for another 60yrs, but is now almost defunct.
..was about saying it's a masterstroke move but considering the "shape shifting" Nigerian Police, like the amoeba, and other projects which have ended up in fiasco, the move may not achieve much.
The wise and noble words of the Emir may be too complicated for the commoner in his domain who, unwittingly views procreation as the only form of recreation.
How about the Reps themselves who are often involved in rowdy sessions (distortion), occasional fisticuffs and the fence scaling scandal? Change must truly begin with them.
hollawaley2: The Nigerian Air Force on Tuesday said its newly acquired NAF helicopter gunship recorded first hit in battle against the insurgents in the North-East. This was contained in a statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore, Olatokunbo Adesanya. Adesanya said on May 21, NAF Component of Operation “LAFIYA DOLE” conducted an Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance mission in Parisu, Borno which led to serious casualty on the side of the Boko Haram insurgents. He said: “During the ISR mission, a large structure with solar panels and flags suspected to harbour high value insurgents was discovered, alongside other similar structures hidden under trees. “Accordingly, on May 22, two attack helicopters; the Mi-17 and the newly inducted day and night, all weather gunship, Mi-35M Super Hind were scrambled to conduct strikes on the location in succession.” Adesanya said battle damage assessment revealed that several structures in the target area were engulfed in fire as a result of the strikes and a few insurgents survivors were seen scampering from the location. In another development, NAF helicopter gunships also destroyed nine hidden barges with stolen oil products in several creeks within the Niger Delta under the framework of Operation “DELTA SAFE”. According to him, the destruction of the barges was aimed at making the stealing of the nation’s oil products futile, dangerous and unattractive.
Even at Ramadan, I'm doubtful of the sincerity of the Kano state government in ensuring a transparent and equitable sharing of this money. Better still, won't it be better to hands off religious matters especially for political gain?
I think he did a modest thing politics aside. The decision to align with him if he chooses to run for office again is left to the electorate, if only we can "shine our eyes" this time and look at his antecedents and other politicians too.
Nigeria is truly an epitome of the "Sleeping Giant"! I pray she wakes up in my lifetime. Nigeria is arguably the most gifted nation on earth in terms of its potential, both materially and otherwise. The teething problem she has was foisted on the nation, with the collusion of some foreign powers, by we Nigerians. No one is asleep forever except in death. This nation hasn't given up the ghost so the earlier she rises up to the morning sun, the sooner will it's glow radiate to the ends of the earth. Now is the time to awaken the Sleeping Giant.
