Nigeria is truly an epitome of the "Sleeping Giant"! I pray she wakes up in my lifetime. Nigeria is arguably the most gifted nation on earth in terms of its potential, both materially and otherwise. The teething problem she has was foisted on the nation, with the collusion of some foreign powers, by we Nigerians. No one is asleep forever except in death. This nation hasn't given up the ghost so the earlier she rises up to the morning sun, the sooner will it's glow radiate to the ends of the earth. Now is the time to awaken the Sleeping Giant. |
.. Ajekun iya! ![]() |
..leave and then head to 'Oblivion'! |
Laffmatazz! ![]() ..The comical part of Nigerian politics. |
I doubt that very much. |
Okupe's words here seem uncharitable, trying to play the religious card to whip up sentiments Nigerians have long fallen for. Yes their are further ramifications to the Acting President's admonishion to civil servants such as the Executive & Legislative leading by example, he attempted to clear some cobwebs from the thinking of the average Nigerian, by putting the influence of religion here, in proper perspective. But here we go again with our typical politician trying a spin score a point, however cheap. |
Thank God! Their heavenly reward will be part paid upfront. ![]() |
SalamRushdie:..sensible view I'd say. We are all equal before God. |
Haa! 500billion Naira? E daakun.. |
..just wondering what would've become of this country if the coup had succeeded. |
Nkem4040:..If we all lived in the air? LOL!!! ![]() |
The CDC is more empowered constitutionally as he oversees all of the armed forces in the country (both military and paramilitary). On the other hand, historically, the army has almost solely been responsible for military incursions into government via coup d'etat (and mutiny). Hence the perceived superiority of the COAS! |
That means that GEJ "almost stopped corruption.. ..but didn't! He only succeeded in trying to differentiate it from stealing. ![]() |
..it shows that not every 'oyinbo man' is a racist. |
If only our politicians would learn to see where their politicking, greed and unabated looting can lead the nation. Not praying for a coup but developing countries are often enmeshed in the vicious cycle of their democracies being interrupted by military incursion into government. |
..has anyone seen the "Once in a lifetime" video of how a burning car was put out with sludge from a septic truck in Lagos recently? It's just mind blowing ( I call it "how not to put out fire in a burning car ). |
Originalsly:I was going to assume the same until I checked it out on Google. There is a new model launched in 2015, bearing no resemblance to the old boxy model. Just like better known models of more popular marques, such as 'Corolla', 'Accord' and 'Jetta', the Tipo model has also reemerged in a different generation. Cheers! |
I don't believe it! |
The reasons are as old as time itself. Christ's parable explains it explicitly. |
sorry1:I'm sorry but I thought I was addressing a deep thinker. ..never mind, time will tell. |
This might be a step too far by the Senate. Trouble dey sleep, 'yanga' come go wake am. |
The cycle of corruption. Thanks OP! |
Chaos looms! ..I fear that the military may be waiting on the wings. |
Senior Prefect! ![]() |
Fayose! ..Fayose!! ..Fayose!!! |
..that you even have the effrontery to spew such rubbish is an insult to the sensibilities of the people of Kogi State! |
Well, here we are @lade007, your good deeds have spoken for you. I know that you've come a long way and your persistence is beginning to yield good fruits. Keep up the good work and once you make the name, everyone will beat a path to your doorstep! Congrats again!! Btw, I still dey save my kobo kobo and one day, my little droplets will become an ocean. ![]() |
This 'old boy' still believe's he's a "yuppie". He's in his mid 50's, behaves like one in his 20's, dresses like a teen but as streetwise as the serpent in Eden's garden. ..the Osokomole himself . ![]() |
..on a positive note this time. A doctor hardly ever looses his skills. Now that's leadership by example. |
I hope someone with authority from his constituency takes the initiative to ensure that these equipment are judiciously distributed before the "Nigerian factor" creeps in. |
..why don't they (EFCC) just search all the houses in Ikoyi? I bet there'll be more. ![]() |
Tragic, and my condolences to the families of the departed. But this accident can be linked with the pervasive corruption in the country. The PHCN in conjunction with the Lands department of the relevant State ministry must have noticed the potential danger and flagrant disregard for non-approval for the construction of such a building (and many others), but the greedy desire for lucre must've made them turn a blind eye. There are a myriad of disasters waiting to happen due to negligence by the appropriate authorities. God help us in this country. |
