1st, he was likened to King Nebuchadnezzar, now to king Saul! Shall we just call him King Goodluck then? But pls pls pls! His nobility is nowhere near Christ Jesus'. Just imagine if Okupe had likened him to "The Prophet" in some other clime, hmmn, he would've made an "Okugbe"! |

Politics › Re: An Average Nigerian Is Corrupt Yet Blames It On Mr President by Day169: 11:31am On Dec 20, 2014 |
MyPWisINCORRECT: There is no facet of our daily lives you won't find corruption yet we blame it on Mr President. Mr President is fighting corruption at his level, how have you fought corruption at your own level?
You adjust your petrol dispenser against the stipulated calibration from the Weights and Measures Inspectorate...yet blame corruption on Mr. President
You use your pilot vehicles to run against traffic...yet blame corruption on Mr. President
You don't issue jobs and contracts on merit but on man-know-man basis...yet blame corruption on Mr. President
You dock peoples files and folders and wouldn't attend to them unless your stake is defined...yet blame corruption on Mr. President
You receive gratification from vendors for contracts poorly executed...yet blame corruption on Mr. President
You don't join queues but you will rather speak your local dialect to whomever is managing the queue so you can curry favour...yet blame corruption on Mr. President
You cook books, doctor reports...yet blame corruption on Mr. President
You compromise standards for financial gains...yet blame corruption on Mr. President
And many more...
As a people we really need to re-orientate the next generation as corruption is in the DNA of this present generation of Nigerians.
You can hardly strike a honest financial deal with an average Nigerian without him or her trying to swindle you.
If you claim Mr. President is corrupt, then he is one amongst 170m Nigerians. Remove the log from your eyes before removing the speck on his.
These things have been there since the 60s and not even Buhari can remove them unless we change our ways
If I work on my corrupt traits and you work on yours, together we can have a corruption-free society You have a point there, nevertheless, like the sayin goes "If the head of a fish is bad", Uknow the rest. |
Politics › Re: Akin Oyebode Vs Mike Ekiri On Channels Tv by Day169: 5:14am On Dec 20, 2014 |
Saw Prof Oyebode's interview but PHCN played its part B4 the other gentleman spoke. However, I observed that he was one of the few guests who rather than being "boxed" in a tight corner n squeezed, captivated the host with rapt attention (like kids watching Ben 10). Other guests who've had the same effect are Mr Femi Falana and Prof Oyewo. The hosts on Channels Tv Sunrise sure know how to make a guest who spews trash feel very uncomfortable.. |

jacabi: Heheh! I'm beginning to pity GEJ with this kind of people around him. King Nebuchadnessar was turned to animal because of pride and he spent seven years in the forest. Liken GEJ to Jesus is pride. See why Prof Wole Soyinka likened GEJ to King Nebuchadnezzar, but worse still, he can't see the handwriting on the wall. |
