For the change of name, my wife isn't considering the change of name right away but she would like it changed in the future perhaps when she wants to renew her passport in few years time.
So the question is to know if their is anything that she needs to do in Nigeria before she travels to the UK.

You graduated 2019(I believe that is the date on your BSC certificate), your study gap is 4years, you don't need to include your CV because your study gap is less than 5years.

That's fine probably an error on the system

Once the ECO spots this a link will be sent seperately so she pays the IHS.

She applied for their own visa today from Nigeria and someone was suppose to help her pay from the USA but when the person was about about to pay, the went straight to Visa payment without IHS and the person paid with IHS. The number of transactions is not the issue. You can apply with that

Please remember your POF is for your study in the UK, the ECO can ask you to provide an up to date statement at any point.

As long as your statement is verified and your POF is intact you should be fine

I started my proof of funds last month 11th Jan and I printed my proof of funds statement account on Feb 10. ( 29days matured) but my concern is I made just only one day transaction with the proof of funds account and one of my friends said I should done more transactions with the proof of funds account during the 28days b4 printing it out. And I'm about to start my Visa application next week.

FYI Spouses can financially sponsors each other, if indeed there is a spouse.

Also why isn't she going as a Dependant if she has a spouse in the UK?

This is medicine after death, that's the issue with lies, you have to keep covering and covering and ECOs are trained to sniff things out

What they are requesting is her bank statement which should reflect the deposit made from her mom to her account, this she doesn't have.
She will also need to include her mom's bank statement or other evidence (i.e deposit slips, transfer instructions etc) to show the funds leaving her mom's account. All these will need to be verified.

She also solidified the lie at the interview

She could come out clean and address the lie but that will still lead to refusal/possible ban


She could ignore this request and wait for the refusal

Unfortunately I can't see a way out of this

Please I need advice and assistance as regards this issue on behalf of my sister.
My sister applied for the Uk student visa after 2weeks of enrolling for Biometrics , She was invited for an interview after the interview she was sent a follow-up email requesting for additional documents as regards her finances.

The issue is she has a spouse that lives in the Uk on a permanent visa which she also mentioned in her application. Her spouse made a deposit towards her tuition fee and also fund her account for the POF . But as you know only the parent can stand as a sponsor that's why the spouse was not declared as the main sponsor.

She already stated in her application that our mother will be her sponsor, she included her birth certificate that carry our Mother's name and a written letter as well from our mother.

Please house kindly advise on the best way to resolve this issue because she was given 10 days to submit the evidences.
I attached a copy below of the email sent to her after the interview. Thank you all for all what you have been doing on this forum.🤲

Even with marriage you still have to try to provide additional documents to show your relationship is substantial. This is before, during and after the wedding.

How long has he been with his fiancée?? If he doesn't have the required documents it might be worth going first and gathering these documents for her visa once settled

To answer your question,what you advised should be fine

Please, a friend not on NL doing his Japa runs wants to take his fiancée with him as a dependant. However, they are planning to do their marriage once his own Visa is out. He is for May Intake. I advised him that given the limited time, it might be difficult for him to prove his relationship with her to UKVI.

Please what can he do? I advice going ahead with the marriage, he leaves for the UK once ready, then his wife can then apply some say 4-6 months after. IS THIS A GOOD PATH TO TOW?

Unfortunately you will have to get the legal court documents to show you have sole custody or joint custody(he has to give consent in the case of joint custody)

To get to this stage you have to file for a divorce and then discussion on kids/properties if applicable will be determined.

Anything outside that can be deemed as parent-child abduction and yes there is something like that

Please note these timeline could extend

Unmarried partners live together and can provide documents addressed in either individual or joint names but same address(dating doesn't necessarily qualify as partners)

In UKVI eyes, you just got married and applied for visa

The PCC you provided is irrelevant, pictures,chats are minor evidence

Since Jan 3rd I believe you both live together,can you provide the rent agreement/bill paid since you got married till date??

Can you provide hers/your bank statement showing the same address since you got married??

Include a cover letter to address your relationship as you explained here

This is a 50/50 chance, you can try but if she gets refused then plan ahead

I just got my visa and plan to travel with my wife (we submitted and did biometric on different dates) but UKVI is asking for additional documents.


NB: We have been dating for over 2 years now but we don’t stay together. We officially got married on the 3rd of January (few days before I got my COS).

Documents initially uploaded

Marriage certificate (with our various parents home address)
POF
Police character (carrying her parents home address)
TB test (carrying her parents home address)
WhatsApp chat (date back to Jan 2021)
Random pictures together
Wedding photos

Please, find attached for the details of the mail sent by UKVI. I’m so confused on how else to demonstrate that we have a genuine relationship despite not staying in the same address over the years. Please help.

When you print your bank statement as evidence of your maintenance in the UK, you are required to submit that within 30days of printing that evidence.

Bear in mind the ECO can always ask for an up to date statement

The person paid via convera since 9th January and convera says they sent the money to Sussex since 10th January but till today Sussex says the money hasn’t entered their account yet. I’m really bothered as I paid via black market because I do not want any part of this journey to stress me at all. It’s for September intake.
